[Resolved] Airtel Digital TV — Service | |||
I am an airtel Digital TV customer and my airtel digital TV account no is [protected] and my contact no is [protected]..Remote is not working for my TV.I have complaint about this on 06Nov2011.Till there is no action taken by Airtel.While call to customer care they are saying that "Need to contact Dealer".I can not understand these people.Product is Airtel but when customer faces the problem they are saying that this is not thier problem. I have recharged my airtel dth today morning at around 11:00am on 30th May 2010.After waiting for 1houre it was not activated so,i have called to customer care,They have told there is technical problem which will be resolve in 4 houre.after waiting for 4 hour have agin called at 4:00pm ,again they told it will take time resolve technical issue.the i have called at 5:53 again i got same answer that it will started within 1 hour.again i have called at 7:30 pm and they have told it will take 4hour to start service So, what the hell airtel ppl r doing.
I have New connection of airtel dth/HD yesterday at around 7:00pm on 14 th octeber 2010.After waiting for 2houre it was not activated so, i have called to customer care, They have told there is technical problem which will be resolve in 4 houre.after waiting for 7 hour have agin called at 4:00am, again they told it will take time resolve technical issue.the i have called at 8;am again your near Bhubaneswar airtel office got same answer that it will started within 30 mins.again i have called at 8:30 am to contineously 13:20pm and they have told it will take 5mis 10mins to start service.But same problems error code-6. So, what the hell airtel ppl r doing.

I just got an Airtel DTH installed. I spoke to the Customer service on Saturday (12148) and had long discussions with Alfred (Manager-at least that he told to me), Amit (some Team Lead) and Salman (the rep). All of them gave me a view that Airtel was the best in terms of service and explained to me with the connection I am taking (1 HD DVR and 1 Normal connection for ULTRA pack), I would be eligible for one Regional Top up for both the connections free of cost along with all HD channels free for the first connection for a year.
Marathi top was explained to me having Zee Marathi, Saam, Zee 24 Taas and Zee Talkies. However, later I was told different variations with one of the reps telling me that only one channel is available to me free while others are chargable and that also available on only one connection for other box I need to pay (dialing 12150).
I also took a top up for Zee Studio and Zee Classic and paid extra for this for one full year. Total payment made has been Rs 10,434/- for all the above.
Now the issues are with respect to:
• Extra payment for the top us I have asked for (both TVs):
o Marathi Channels (Saam, Zee 24 Taas and Zee Talkies)
o Zee Classic & Zee Studio
• Super pathetic Customer service:
o I can understand the toll free number performance but even the nodal number has been below mark (ideally they should just close it down)
I have also taken an extra step by suggesting the customer service that if all the Marathi channels and Zee Classic top ups be made available on the 2nd box while Zee Studio on the first, but guess they do not know how to do it.
As a summary, I called the customer service at least 10 times (12150). Spoke to Preethi from escalations and she admitted the mistake (the Marathi top ups and tried to help me with some options. However, even then I am not going to get my channels as I want and I pay extra money every month (on top of what I paid). She was very helpful and did help me with all options…thanks to her…atleast she saved some face for Airtel.
Can somebody please call me from Airtel and tell me why such variations in discussion and when something has been promised why it has not been delivered. Also any action against such reps who do not know anything and the nodal office rep who passes the blame to some 3rd party source (shell).
I have been an Airtel customer for over 4 years and have been really happy with their Mobile, Broadband & telephone services. Now have to really rethink.
A great product I should compliment it to be the best but the below par customer service is/will really pulling it down.

Am here to register another goo[censored]p from your side.
I registered a complaint that the DVR is not recording the Star Boquet HD channels are not being recorded. Customer service was quick in saying that HD cannot be recorded (just shows how much no knowledge they have) and later when I press against the rep he gives me a service number 12180166 saying that an engineer will visit and solve it 100% in the next 24 hours.
An engineer visits the very next day (Adrenalin) and after speaking to multiple people on the phone he says that there is a server issues and people are working on it and would call me as soon its done. He leaves and in return takes the HAPPY Code 610, to make me more unhappy and frustrated, and soon thereafter I receive a message from 54325 saying my issue has been resolved and in case if not please contact [protected]. I call back the engineer who visted and tell him this, he just asks me to wait as he would call me as soon its done.
As usual (like previous experience) I do not get any call backs and when I call back the above mentioned number he tells me to call a person Nagraj (Contact [protected]) he is polite in telling me the way outs however promise to visit me in an hour once he has worked on other complaints.
I wait for nearly 6 hours before I call him again and he tells me to call customer service to reset the recording feature. This really makes him upset and I ask him to visit or get this done….he is very blunt in saying that I had not registered a complaint with him so I have to do it myself or call on the number and vent. WOW---What really irritates me is why do they just don’t do it themselves especially when I have already spoken to the Customer Service and they have given me a reference number.
Fully irritated, I call up [protected], not even sure whats his name, he just says sending an engineer and puts the phone without any deadlines.
Can Airtel please tell me why these gross inconsistencies and did I not pay fully (what was asked for) that I do not get proper prompt answers with some deadlines.
I don’t even know if anyone is going to come and even if a YES (the probability is very low) when and how will this get resolved.
I always thought Airtel was very good in service BUT NOW MY PERCEPTIONS are changing.

The queries were never resolved, just by saying that there was some wrong information given to me the matter just does not close there.
Also another LIE i would like to inform you which was told to me by the CC when I purchased---when asked if i would get all HD channels, which get added going forward free of cost...I was said yes...now you tell me to buy them ...
Seriously people, just one month with Airtel and I am buggesd with the service response...no one has even bothered to speak to me and do something about this...Instead all jus say one thing...sorry for the misinformation...what is this
Look forward to speaking to a REAL RAKESH who replies to messages and not just a copy and paste
