[Resolved]  Airtel — Frustrating Airtel Customer Care reply

Address:Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Hi,
After discussing with customer care office over phone, an email request was sent from my official email ID, to add my existing AIRTEL mobile post paid number to my current company CUG.

For this there is no HR involvement, I am the one who sent the request mail to [protected]@in.airtel.com. To get added to CUG, email need to be sent by attaching the ID copy from the official email ID.
All this was done after discussing with customer care over phone.

I did the same, but the customer care executive, who attended my email, did some error, and removed my name added my current company as the owner of my mobile.

The bill is getting generated as XXXX company, and address is my residence address.

I have sent many emails to customer care to change the owner from my company name to my individual with all valid proofs, that the number is in my name before adding it to company CUG.
and I always get reply (always same message, they do not even read the email content) to contact nearest relationship center with required document.

When I contacted nearest relationship center, with my first email request to add to CUG, they found that it is the mistake of customer care, so contact main office (Santhome branch).

Now in the branch Santhome-Chennai branch the customer care executives mentions that,
even it is our mistake you have to get a letter from HR mentioning the no issues in transferring the ownership to my name.

They do not want to listen any thing from the customer, they want only customer should listen to them.

My question is how my HR will give a letter on Airtel's mistake?

Atleast if they accept that, it is their mistake, and Airtel can transfer the owner only if there is a letter from HR in an email, I can try to get the same.

But the team over Santhom-Chennai says, it is not the process. On 06-Jun, I went to Santhome-Chennai branch. Now my question is on what basis and which process told you to do the ownership transfer on your own?.

Then there is no answer and I was told to leave the counter, as they will get back to me on Monday (08-Jul) But till now no call from customer care.

I need the ownership should be transferred to my name. For this I am ready to get letter from HR provided, the acceptance of mistake information from Airtel.

I saw so many issues, during my visit to customer care office. All these were done by AirTel customer care team, and finally customers are suffering.
No one cares for that

Thanks,
Ranganath

Airtel — Consumer suffered due to Airtel's mistake

This complaint is regarding my Airtel Mobile and Broadband services, where I had to suffer loss of time, business, money, due to barring of respective services, with a mistake on their part which can be proved.
I own Airtel broad band services through my wife's name Chitra R. A/c. no. 13836008 and Airtel Mobile services since 8 years (aprox) in my name post paid account for mobile no. [protected] a/c. No.[protected]

My Mobile a/c.for the bill date 10th July 2010 The amount outstanding was 660.92 which was paid through my Chq. no. 884284 vide Bank of India Chq.
Actually the bill amount was 1734.91 but they had deducted 1074.

On the other hand my Broad band bill date 27th May 2010 had outstanding of 1074, I had promptly made this payment vide Chq. no.884267. dt 16th June by BOI.

For some reason known to Airtel alone, the amount 1074 which was supposed to goin to the account of braodband was considered, in excess to my Mobile account even though there was no outstanding in that account for June 2010 month,
and since there was a due of 1074 shown in broad band account, they cut their services to my account. They could not trace out where the Chq amount has gone, because of which I had to take all the pain in scanning the statement and sharing with them to resolve my broad band services.

After 3 months Airtel reversed this amount Rs. 1074 back to my broadband account and this was short again in their account, hence they cut my mobile services stating that I am due to pay this for mobile account. I was really frustrated by not having mobile as my business meeting were scheduled and I had no time to chat with their call center guys who keep changing evey time you make a call through maize of recorded messages. I was really hell bent on resolving the services as I was sure of making all the payments in time.

Today I spoke with Airtel for barring my services, and after making 3 calls ,the third man in their call center Mr.Raghav KS. understood the problem and he suggested that I should make the payments immediately by cash, and the services were restored sooner before the cash was paid.

What I want to know and treat this a serious complaint on Airtel is that
When there was no outstanding on my account of mobile in the month of June why did Airtel consider my payment to Broadband as theirs and created all the confusion and as a result of which I the consumer was put to trouble in both restoring services at Broadband first and Mobile later?
I hope a fair justice will be given to the consumer (myself) in this regard, for the loss of time, energy, stress, agony, frustration, business and lastly money in making incessant calls.
Hope somebody will read me.
Thanks
Ravi Narayan.

Airtel — not replying to email, phone complaints

I had requested Airtel for keeping my broadband connection on safe custody as I was going to be away for a period of about 3 months. I requested this by writing them email and again by visiting theit office in NOida. At that time they wrote that their computer system was being upgraded and they can not take my request (period of July 2011). Later on after lots of my emails, they finally put my service on safe custody (with reduced rental charges) after almost a month of delay. Now, when I restored my services, have written emails and called on their 198 and even registered complaints - they simply are not replying. I even wrote(email) to Appealate authority (Airtel's) - they are not simply repyling.

It is a very poor service - when customers are not able to talk to a any real person who can listen to their complaints. Even DOT is better, where at least some GM or DGM is in the office and you can meet them to sort out your complaints.
