[Resolved]  Airtel — Defective Set Top Box

We purchased a Airtel DTH Connection from Khoshla Electronics, Kolkata on 14.08.2010. The Airtel Customer ID [protected].
But for the last two months the Set Top Box is not working properly, the Box is automatically turning off and restarted within few minutes. Initially this problem occurred after a long gap but now after every 10 minutes the Set Top Box is turning off.
We complained with the Airtel Customer Care many times –

A technician visited our home on 08.05.2011 and promised to replace the defective Box on the very next day and took Rs100 as his fees.(Phone No. of the Technician : [protected]) There after on many occasions technical experts of your company do visit us and take away money and they keep on promising this will be the end of our problem, and we continue to give them money in expectation of what they promised from the next day the DTH box will be ok but all of these are of no avail we are repeatedly cheated in the name of service we have sell out all the money as in paying the set top box and also service charge, for nothing, as all the service men have never given me any receipt of such payment and more to it, they never made any written promise, and the customers service personals are equally cold when it comes to giving real service.
With all these pain and anguish and cheating am compelled to take a cable connection and now paying fees to such cable man and this happens only because despite all my efforts and money the DTH machinery comes out to be a useless gadget , in the above circumstances I want refund Rs1440, that I have paid towards DTH machinery , Rs500, towards serviceman, along with the money, I paid towards my cable connection charge Rs1500, and in addition Rs[protected] crore) as damage caused by Airtel DTH functional and untrained professional and suffering caused and expenses borne by me.

airtel tv give as very bed service it is the worst satalite tv service of india .
my cstomer id is [protected] mySet Top Box is not working properly since 6month
from 5.6.2011 my set top box is not working
i have call costomer care 7 times but my problem not solved

With all these pain and anguish and cheating am compelled to take a another satalite tv connection and now paying fees to such oprater
in the above circumstances I want refund Rs2000, that I have paid towards DTH machinery, Rs800, towards serviceman, along with the money, I paid towards my cable connection charge Rs1500
at last i personaly segest that airtel is the worst satalite cabel tv which even shoud not put in the destbin because it is not to be recycle
Airtel DTH creat functional and untrained professional and suffering to the costomer
In furtherance to our complain on “Airtel DTH” (Customer ID No. [protected]) we received calls from Airtel demanding money for replacements and also service charges for the Set Top Box. They booked complaints Docket (No. 9275416) while talking to us primarily in furtherance to your valuable effort. After two days when they found that they will not be able to get money for a new machine and also service charges they finally, again sent an SMS claiming the problem has been solved. I think for their fault they should be paying us and not we to them and there is no question of service or replacement charges, and for lack of service what on earth they think they will be able to get money for lack of service. We cannot understand how come without visiting our house or changing the defective Set Top Box the problem resolved!! Is it a process to be followed by a “Civilized Company”, in a civilized society to make good a non functional dumping gadget????

I demand an unqualified apology in writing by post to my address, compensation money to be paid immediately.

Here under I attach the snippets what airtel and its people told me via email but they cleverly do not mention here what they asked for, “money for replacement of the gadget along with the service charges”.
