[Resolved]  Airtel Landline And Broadband — Shifting of residence

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have an Airtel landline no.[protected] along with Broadband connection. On 4th Feb'11, I asked for shifting of the connection to my new residence. Initially, I was told by a Customer service representative that the new society is not wired by Airtel, hence shifting is NOT POSSIBLE. So I asked for discontinuation of services.

On 12/13 Feb'11, I again get a call from Airtel, saying that if Airtel would provide connectivity at the new residence, will I continue with the connection? I said YES. I was told that this would take atleast 2-3 weeks, so advised to change tariff plan to a low rental temporary plan, which was done subsequently.

On 20th Feb, when I started calling customer care after change of tariff plan, to ask when the shifting would be done, they say again that SHIFTING IS NOT POSSIBLE SINCE THERE IS NO WIRING. I do not understand why Airtel made a commitment in the first place and now backing out of it. THIS IS PURE HARASSMENT, since I have not migrated to another service provider and am not able to use landline or Broadband Internet services at my new place of residence.

What is even more apalling is that Airtel wants me to transfer the connection to the new tenant at my old residence (since they would technically not lose a customer). THIS TYPE OF MARKETING IS ABSOLUTELY !!! I will bring this to the notice of TRAI and other Consumer Redressal Forums.

Please tell me the status of my shfting latest by 23 Feb 11 / 1230hrs, failing which, I will escalate the matter suitably.

Airtel Landline and Broadband — No SHifting done and Unfair billing

I had registered a request for shifting my connection A/C Number 15784808 to my new residence in DWARKA on 24 Jul 10 at aroun 3.30 pm. The Ref No is 362010. I clearly spelt out that I would be vacating my current residence on 27 Jul. I was told to unplug my instrument and modem and leave the wiring as it is. New wiring would be installed in my new residence. However as of today there has been no installation in my new house.

How then can you be charging me rentals and taxes thereon for the months of Aug onwards. I got a call about outstanding bill from some of your employee. I informed them that I have not recieved any bill since Jul. Frequent attempts to contact airtel help has not resulted in solving the problem. They keep transferring my call from on person to other. Then somebody tells me that there is connection possible in my new area of residence. Nobody has the decency or logic to call me and inform the same. Such a big company, and no sense of propreity.

I am now in a position to have internet access through a Reliance connection. On checking the account statement, it appears that the amount of Rs 1432 in the current bill is therefore illogical and unfair. I have however paid the amount of Rs 1015 for last bill dues and late fees thereon.

They must now Pl reconcile and also now pl terminate this connection. I am fed up with Airtel.

Airtel — Landline Phone shifting and billing

I am Deepak R Swain, staying at the address flat#010, 29th Cross, Kagadaspura, C V Raman Nagar, had placed a reuqest with Airtel fixed line division for shifting my phone to the above mentioned address from Shakthi Regency , 11th Main,Mallesh palya which is hardly 0.5KMs from the current address. I had placed this request on 30th of July.

Despite of repeated follow up done on the shifting , I have got only request numbers and request numbers. Not a single time Airtel got back to me , neither customer care nor technical executive .

It was really frustrating and harashing experience with Airtel after using 4 Years. My phone connection also has a Broadband service associated with it.Everyday the customer care executive wouod say about shifting would happen in 48 Hours.. and used to wait like a fool for more than 20 days.

I am a teleworker and I work from home most of the time . I have been facing serious problem for past 20 days for the same.

Below are the details of my phone ,sequence of events and requests placed with Airtel.

2nd req # 2169584 (given assurance of 48 hours on 11th August) still I was following up
3rd request # 2253902 (Nodal request number) again assurance of 48 hours
Despite so many follow up, no one is responding , be it customer care or Nodal officer or Appellate office..

Kindly help me taking action against Airtel.
