Airtel — Not blocking the IMEI of stolen mobile
I lost my mobile on Jan19,2011. I made a FIR in Malad Station and then went to the Airtel outlet (in Peninsula Lower Parel west near my office). The have issued me a new sim with the same number but when I asked them to put my stolen mobile's IMEI in the blacklisted handsets database(so that the mobile become useless for the thief), they told me to go on Nokia shop. However Nokia and all other are saying that it's the service provider who can do it as they use a shared database of handsets of stolen categories. I want my stolen mobile blocked so that someone else can't use it. Arun Bansal [protected]@yahoo.com Was this information helpful?
