[Resolved] Airtel — Plan Migration Issue | |||
I had an airtel plan of 1149 for 4mbps/40 gb per month. I had used up my limit 4 days earlier and hence asked the customer care for the smartbytes package as i was not able to purchase it myself. On calling the customer care on 6-7-13 at around 1.15pm I asked the person if I can migrate the plan or buy smartbytes. She didn't clearly listen to my request and in her broken english told me that she has raised request for the smartbytes package. I enquired more about the migration plan and said she should cancel the smartbytes thing as i'm already migrating to new plan and she told me she'll arrange the call back. The call back never came. I called them back again and then they told me they can't cancel the smartbytes request. Furthermore, the smartbytes package wasn't even activated, so i'll be paying 300 for a service which i did not even get to see because their customer representative didn't understand my request. I kept that aside and asked for the migration to 1499 plan to which they complied and said will be activated immediately. 2 hours later, I called them back saying it isn't done yet to which I got another 4 hour extension and and escalation in request. 4 hours later, after calling another time, they told me to wait till 8 hours are over after which they'll contact the backend team. I waited the entire day. The next day morning the migration hadn't been done and I again called back. This time I got 4 hours extension with a notice that they'll surely release the port. I'm still waiting for activation. Meanwhile I've spent around 50 rs calling their support number [protected] which isn't toll free and takes about 3 minutes just to navigate to speaking with the csr. The company called me up and resolved the issue. It's good to see the company taking steps to sort out issues of an individual customer. I think every company has issues but the greatness comes from what steps the company takes to resolve them and how fast. I am very impressed. | |||

Airtel — migration not done on time
I have filled the form for migration(pre to post) on dt 09/05 /08 with all the required documents, I was told it will be activeted within 48 hrs, but till today it is not activated.Yesterday on launching a camplaint, they called me and confirmed my prepaid and postpaid sim no. and assured me that it will be activated by thursday night(15/05/08), but nothing happened till now. And if I am calling them now, either they are saying that the server is down call after N hours or simply they are putting me on hold and then disconnecting the call. I had never used AIRTEL before, but still having an opinion that it is one of the best network provider in India. But now I can confidently say that Relience is the best. From my past 6yrs experience I have never experienced such situation in Reliance.I was planning to disconnect my Reliance connection but after all this I have changed my mind.
