I AM A USER OF AIRTEL HAVING A PREPAID CONNECTOIN FROM PUNE.MY NO IS [protected].I HAD ACTIVATED MY "NOP" ON 18/01/2008...I HAD GOT THE ACTIVATION MESSEGE THE NEXT DAY,BUT I WAS UNABLE TO USE IT AS SETTINGS WERE NOT WITH ME...I HAD GIVEN A DEACTIVATION MESSEGE ON 19/01/2008..BUT A DEACTIVATION CONFIRMATION MESSEGE WAS NOT GIVEN TO ME.ON CONTACTING THE CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVES THEY TELLTHAT MY NOP IS DEACTIVATED...BUT INSPITE OF THAT MY DAILY RENTAL OF RUPEES 5 IS BEEN DEDUCTED FROM MY ACCOUNT.I HAVE TALKED ABOUT THIS PROBLEM TO THE CUSTOMER CARE BUT NO ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN SINCE THAT TIME..TILL NOW MY 40 RS HAS BEEN DEDUCTED..PLEASE SEE TO THIS AND TRY TO REFUND THE AMOUNT AND STOP THE PROBLEN OF DAILY RENTAL OF NOP FROM MY NO AS IT IS DEACTIVATED...

This is with ref to my complaint last month about NOP deactivation. Even after complaining for the same on this forum ,this forum can't resolve it untill now only different AIRTEL CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM representatives reply to message that CONCERN HAS BEEN NOTED AND OUR TEAM IS EAGER TO RESOLVE IT.WE ARE RESTRICTED BY YOUR CONTACT DETAILS. AND some of them called me for the details they say that your problem will be soon rectified but even after ONE MONTH the problem is as it is.
SO I REQUEST YOU TO PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO CHANGE THE OPERATOR W/O CHANGING MY NUMBER TO A RELIABLE ONE?
AND LASTLY MY CONTACT DETAILS ARE AS GIVEN BELOW.

AIRTEL is an useless network. They do not respond though customer care. I feel the attitude of airtel management is only to extract money from its customers by hook or crook. I am also suffering money-wise. They are not discontinuing 'dating tips' from my moblie and charging Re 1/- per day which I never requested for. Now I have decided to go for BSNL moblie and will surrender this AIRTEL connection. It is a cheat organisation.

I fully agree with A Roy. Airtel is about Mittal. And his godforsaken wealth.
Why isn't he on Forbes first 10 billionairs?He should be considering he's made them out of his loyal airtel subscribers.

Every message offer you receive is underhanded management marketing doublespeak. This is what is taught in top B-schools these days.Where else can you campus recruit a fully qualified marketing Con artist?

Carrot on the visible end and you get screwed at the other end.

Value added services is all rubbish. Where is the value? and its added to what exactly?

And now they're going digital! Welcome to the world of digital rip offs.

Airtel Prepaid — deactivation of NOP

Sir,

I had subscribed to airtel NOP(for internet browsing) service 2 years ago,for which i was charged RS1.50 per day.But i have been trying to deactivate this service for almost 6 months now.The customer care people tell to send some message,but it just does not work.
I don't use the internet anymore but still they deduct money every week.It's really frustrating and i am sometimes left with negative balance and can't make a call.

My mobile no. [protected] (prepaid) having taken connection in the month of Aug'09 was blocked last 7days back reason not knowing, kindly help me in this matter due this I am missing lot of calls.

Airtel Prepaid — NOP Deactivation

I have mail and sms to deacivate NOP servise.
Bur still it is not deactivate.
They are deducting money from my account.
