outgoing call is barred

Airtel — Outgoing calls barred for hours together for wrong reason.

I have taken this Airtel postpaid sim around 15 days ago and using the sim extensively for making calls since then. My outgoing facility to call was barred today abruptly. After trying 121 for as many as 25 times from my cell where there is no menu option to speak to any customer care represantative or even Postpaid related issues in main menu, finally one of my friend tried to reach customer care through his phone. Ultimately i could manage to lodge a complaint and the reason they gave was simply amazing. They said due to zero usage of your sim, we have barred your outgoing call facility. This is just rediculous when i am using my phone day & night for making calls. I really doubt how their systems are maintained and how are they tracking the usage of individual customers. This looks completely mismanaged.
When i needed to call someone urgently, i was denied of making any calls for no genuine reason. This is completely unacceptable.
I wasted my precious working hours chasing to enquire whats wrong with my cell.
Please help!

AIRTEL PRE-PAID CONNECTION — Outgoing calls barred

AIRTEL/ Mobile — Calls barred on Mobile

I bought this pre paid connection from Mobile store at Cunnigham Road Bagalore on 26th of May. Submitted the documents on 27th of may. They barred the outgoing calls on 3rd June and incoming also on 5th June. Repeated followups with Air tel customer care and mobile store are not helping ( today is 22nd June). As per mobile store there it is a fault of Airtel as they do not collect the documents on time. He showed me the details also where Airtel has picked up the docs on 8th June. Airtel customer care is useless they have only one sentence to say they they have not received the documents. I even offered that I can fax the documents or email them but they do not accept. If there is some probelm betwenn Airtel and mobile store, why should a customer suffer. I have never seen such a customer un-friendly and hopless customer care. Can someone advise me how can I approach consumer forum and file a case. In fact I told them that I would approach consumer forum or write to Mr Sunil Mittal, but they were not perturbed.
i got a prepaid connection with mobile no.[protected] by submitted a prescribed form alongwith all the documents pertaining to my address proof and id proof. but outgoing services were often suspended for non-submission of relevant documents. how can i seek remedy for this deviation of the service provider
I am D.C. Joshi, 78 years old, having a airtel prepaid connection nos -[protected] for over 3 years which i took from Allahabad. I am on a vacation in Rajasthan now and suddenly I find my outgoing calls barred. I have balance of over Rs 400 of in my account. I did go to the Airtel Customer Care at Ganganagar, Rajasthan but was categorically told that it can be rectified from Allahabad only. Now I am stuck here without a telephone connection.

This is also to bring to your notice that i was not told or was sent any SMS regarding barring of my services which is highly unethical on part of Airtel, especially towards a SENIOR CITIZEN of the country.

Hope airtel rectifies its mistake at the earliest
Governments order to collect documents from the consumer is a good move but at the same time it is very frustrating for consumer's like me. I use an Airtel Prepaid connection, I had submitted documents when I first switched to Aritel connection. Again after the governemnts order, I submitted the documents again last fornight, subsequent to this I received atleast 10 calls from Airtel to verify my number and address, I thought this was it but today I was surprised to notice that all my outgoing calls were being routed to Airtel customer care and nobody was of help to me. I was in an emergency situation and had to call urgently but I could do so.

I atleast spoke to a dozen Airtel customer care rep's today and four team leads but none of them were able to help, They only trained to say "Sorry for the incovenience caused but there is a problem with our server" and that my number would be activated within four hours but even this did not happen.
Dear sir,
I am using Airtel for more than 2 years. My number is [protected]. Now a week ago, my outgoing calls were blocked on my number. I am a mumbai customer and in some other state at the moment. When i called the customer care, they tell me to resubmit my identification details which is not possible for me as i am out of mumbai.

I also updated my details at an Airtel gallery last year around november and using this no for more than 2 years without any problems. But without any reason i am being asked to re-submit the documents again (which are already with you) while i am on roaming an its not possible for me.

I hope you will look in to this matter and come up with a solution asap.

thanks
If a person submitted documents once while purchasing then he need not resubmitt. It was the duty of air tel dealar to obtain proper & right documents.IF DOCUMENTS ARE IMPROPE/WRONG /DOUBTFUL THEN AIRTEL/ MOBILE SERVICE PROVIDER SHUOD NOT ACTIVATE SIM CARD.
NO LAW SAYS THAT MOBILE USER SHUOLD SUBMIT DOCUMENTS AGAIN & AGAIN. THIS IS A HARASSMENT TO THE MOBILE USER.
THEY CAN DO REVERIFICATION WITH ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS THEY CAN'T ASK FOR ANOTHER COPY OF DOCUMENTS.
SOMETIME AIRTEL IS GIVING INCENTIVE SUCH AS SOME
FREE SMS / FREE CALLS WHY THEY ARE OFFERING INCENTIVE, IF IT(DOCUMENT SUBMITTING ONE MORE TIME) IS LEGAL REQUIREMENT.

TRAI SHOULD TAKE UP SUCH ISSUES IT WILL HELP MOB. CONSUMER.
Dear Mr Rakesh.
I've submitted my documents yesterday at an airtel relationship centre, but my outgoing calls are still blocked. Every other person is facing the same problem with airtel. When asked to customer care, they tell it's a new gov rule and all. So i want to ask, if it's a new gov rule then is it only applicable to airtel? not to vodafone, bpl, virgin, reliance or any other service provider? Now i am really fed up with the poor customer services you provide plus troubling your customers with such weird issues.

Still waiting for a positive response from your side.

thanks
