[Resolved]  Airtel Prepaid — DUPLICATE SIMCARD ACTIVATION

TODAY I HAVE LOST MY MOBILE WITH SIM. MY MOBILE NUMBER IS [protected]. I MADE A COMPLAINT ABOUT THAT TO CUSTOMER CARE PERSON MR. HARI AND REQUESTED HIM TO LOCK THE SIMCRD. HE ADVICED ME TO GET A DUPLICATE SIMCARD FOR THE SAME NUMBER. I PURCHASED A NEW DUPLICATE SIMCARD IMMEDIATELY. HE TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD ACTIVATE THE SIM WITHIN TWO HRS. BUT STILL THE SIM IS NOT ACTIVATED. I WANT TO CONFORM WHETHER THE OLD SIM IS LOCKED OR NOT. I MADE CALLS SEVERAL TIMES.BUT NO RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMERCARE. PLEASE REPLY ME AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE ABOUT THE ABOVE MENTIONED PROBLEM AND ALSO WHEN WILL U ACTIVATE THE NEW SIMCARD?

Don't rely on verbal assurance given by an Airtel dealer. Ensure that you raise a formal complaint with Airtel on their website www.airtel.in, or over phone and ask for complaint reference number.

Yesterday i lost my mobile no [protected] and complaint to ur customer care and asked to block the SIM, Your people have done this job. Now i purchased the Duplicate SIM from your Noida Savitri Market showroom and as they told me that this would activate the within 4 hours, But for this thing more then 15 hours have been gone, but my SIM is still not activated, So u are requested kindly look the matter and activate my duplcate Sim.

Airtel — Non activation of the Prepaid card inspite of card purchased 7 days back

I HAVE DONE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE BY TAKING AN AIRTEL PRE PAID CARD.

Hi this is nikhil i was using ur Airtel prepaid sim but i lost my phone on[protected]
i visited 6 airtel customer care there they said they dont have the duplicate simcard starting from 97411 no then finally i visited 1 more there i asked them to give a duplicate sim card they told that the simcard was in others name i gave my id proof to the retailer but they have changed that & processed another id now i have to retain the same no that is [protected] pls revert me as soon as possible can i take the same no duplicate sim card.

Airtel — Lck of response

I had purchased an Airtel Data with post paid sim sim card in Sept 08. In October 08, It suddenly would not connect and frantic calls to sutomer service proved futile as I was shunted between Customer service and technical support. Customer service kept asking me to call up Techincal support as tehy dealt with data cared related problems and technical support kept asking me to call up customer service stating that it was a problem with the sim card and would only be handled by customer service. This has left me in a sorry state of not being able to meet deadline for an urgent mail I was to sent.

When I approached the Airtel store, they asked me to fill up another application form Whwn I asked for the reason, they diclosed to me stating that the connection was terminated due to negative address verification whereas the bills for the connection where reaching me. Really upset with the shabby treatment, I had returned the data card with the sim intact to the store manager.

The matter has been taken up with the Nodal officer who has not resolved the matter and refunded the money. It has been taken up with Appellate authority in Dec 2008, but has still not evoked a response.

THIS WAS ALL HAPEND AT ONE MOTNTH BEFORE ... TILL NOW I COULDNOT RECIEVE ANY OUTGOING SERVICES FROM AIRTEL OFFICE . TILL NOW THERE IS NO OUT GOING SERVICES TO MY MOBILE CONTAINING AIRTEL NUMBER( [protected] )

EVERY DAY I WILL INFORM TO CUSTOMER CARE CENTERS AND NEARER OFFICES BUT NO ONE CAN RESPOND FOR THIS PROBLEM ... THEY CAN ESCAPE FROM PROBLEM THAT...
