[Resolved]  Airtel — prepaid to postpaid

My name is Saurabh Bahl, phone no [protected].....I have been an airtel prepaid customer for last 3 and half years......Approximately two weeks back on 8th April i got a call saying they are calling from airtel and asked me if i wanted to covert from pre paid to post paid and told me the benefits of it and told me i spend at least 700 rs per momth so i should take up postpaid and offered me a Rs 275 plan.....I said yes and they sent a guy to take 300 rs advance from me and my documents and said he will give me a Airtel Sim tomorrow and my post paid will be started soon...But neither that guy came back again nor your airtel centre called me back....after repeated calls for a week to that no. he told me he will get the verification done soon and give me a post paid done(Mind you he didnt pick up my phone untill unless i called from different no.) after waiting for another week i got my verfication done yesterday but still i dont have a sim with the same no and my pre paid sim has stopped working.....i tried calling this guy he doesnt pick up....the ony thing i know is they are an airtel DRS showroom.....HIs name is Abhilash(not sure) and no. is [protected].......This duped me, doesnt pick up my call....i didnt even want a postpaid you guys made me take it and this is how you treat your customers.....i tried calling airtel customer services 121 and the guy said i should call post paid department and said he could do nothing to help and cut the call...i asked him to ask his manager to call me tom and call centre guy said he will but i never got a call back.....I even went to a airtel relationship centre in SanjayNagar, Bangalore and those guys refused to help me saying i should ask the guy who offered me postpaid.....the only thing i want is my pre paid to be started now or give me a postpaid sim cuz i m doctor left without a phone.....I thought airtel was the best telephone company in India and trusted it....I will make sure people know the truth about the company which just believes in duping people and making profits......I assure you i will Sue this company badly for the way you guys have treated me....

This is regarding the ineffecient service of Airtel..
I just viewed the complaints board. com witha search word Airtel
THere are 376 pages with an average of 5 complaints per page means 1880 complaints...
I dont understand where is the company leading to in customer care aspect and Customers being the revenue driver for the company!!

I still have the problem of getting the postpaid connection. it has been more than 5 days since i lodged all the documents for the conversion, what i get is only calling the 121 with post paid saying not my baby and prepaid saying post paid will handle...

I fail to understand what is the telecom giant doing with such a hopeless service?
This private company is no better than a PSU...

I Pankaj Kumar Rai have applied for prepaid to Postpai on date 04/08/2009 in Vasai airtel shop. they told me that your searvice will be start from 10/08/2009. I visited on 11/0809 that my service is not started they replied that i send your application form and you contact to Mr. Dewang on Mob No. [protected].I tried many times on the same No. but still i do not get any Possitive reply from him even he do not picked up phone and again i visited in vasai airtel shop and met to Mrs Nameeta i told her then she repplied i can't do anything otherwise you can take return your fund if you want you have wait and watch but when I asked how many days it will take i got answer i am unable to say just u wait.
So I kindly request please give me right solution otherwise I will become comple to discontinue your service because of poor service provide and misbehave of your executive.

I am writing this on 14/12.. My Airtel Mobile service has been down since last 4 days!!... I regret to have chosen Airtel to move from Prepaid to Postpaid due to a disappointing, disgusting and decieving handling of the migration. On Friday without telling me, Airtel has disconnected my prepaid service and I have been recieving "SIM Registration Failed" message from 10/12 until now. Since I didnot receive the replacement SIM earlier, this happened. Airtel executive in Ascendas/Adyar office advised me to get a replacement SIM in order to get the activation of Postpaid service. When I visited on Monday itself, they could not make service work even today 14/12.. No responsible response from Airtel executives on how long it will take!! This is the most ridiculous service from Airtel who is boasting off with 3g and all while the matter of fact is they are strugglign with post paid services itself !! I strongly condemn the action of Airtel which has caused severe disruption to my service without any logical reasoning and damaged my customers who have been unable to reach me for last 5 days!!

i have applied for post paid connection on 15/10/11 and paid 500/- deposit at air tel center at siripuram, Visakhapatnam and they given a new Sim. but i didn't get any conformation from air tel. by till date its not activated. same day i submitted the documents at air tel office. my mobile number is [protected]. they given a slip about the new Sim and deposit. i mailed two times to air tel and till now my Sim was not activated. please help me in activation of my new postpaid connection.

I have requested for prepaid to postpaid migration from airtel santhome. There is no reposne until now . The requesition may be around 17 th october. The airtel no is [protected].I have paid Rs 331 on this behalf. I have waited for 5 weeks. Went to that office 5 times.
Still no response. I did not have the receipt ( they did not provide us).
What can I do now. I have to go again?

Dear Airtel Presence team,

I need your help to get the long standing issue with my mobile # [protected]. I applied to convert this number from Pre Paid to Post Paid on 8th Nov'12. I got SMS on 9th that the process has been initiated. Another SMS I got on 10th Nov'12 that the Address Verification has been completed. On 12th I got an SMS that within 4hrs the conversion will complete and instructed me to insert the new SIM and use it as post paid. After this I have been following up with your customer care team every day but there is no resolution to this till date. This number is still not activated and I am unable to make any call as I have already surrendered my Pre-Paid SIM.

Kindly resolve this issue, I would be grateful to you all.

Kunal Kaul I am not facing and problems as such, however reading the history of the case above by Mir and responce from your team does not give any confidence in the resolution "TIME". & "Earliest" does not give a time frame, Customer is not satisfied Period!. this is my take on your responce, this is why i said " What a sad responce from Airtel"

Ravi Swami Dear Airtel presence, u wont recieve my comment/post coz 2 days ago i called my state's nodal officer who took my case @ urgent basis, and helped me to complete every formality within 2 hours, & after 2 hours 1 min. My post sim was activated. Now this officer looks like to help his customer at best possible way. Can u do this to your customers as well?

I had requested for a change in my sim from prepaid to postpaid. I received a new sim after verifications and was informed that my number would be functional in 72 hours,I waited for 72 hours and waited for a few more. then i complained to the airtel customer care who were extremely unhelpful and non professional to the extent of disconnecting calls.The prepaid and postpaid no.'s both indicated that this no. {[protected]} was not with them.Being a proffesional. except losing me some professional financial loss and respect from my clients. i was promised that senior officials will contact me but unfortunately nothing of this sort has taken place. i would like you to look into this matter and act reasonably.

dear team,

Its been nearly a month that i had applied to change my prepaid connection to postpaid but there is no update nor a proper response from the airtel team kindly help me out.By the way this is Vasanth from hyderabad and contact no. is[protected].
I gave my request no.[protected] &[protected] to migrate prepaid Mobile#[protected] to postpaid, but till date it is not migrated. I submit all the required documents along with security deposit to the executive, and follow up several times through mail at 121, but no one is responding on this
