Airtel Service — AIRTEL--UNAUTHORIZED DEDUCTIONFOR BACKGROUND MUSIC

I am using a Nokia phone with Airtel phone number [protected].It is a prepaid phone.I have been observing that for the last so many months Airtel has been unauthorisedly deducting an amount of Rs 30 per month towards background music which I came to know only from them.For information, I have never subscribed for background music.When I met one Ms Pooja Kakkar of Airtel centre at Borivli-west some months back, I was told that I would not receive such message or deduction in future.However next day itself an amount of Rs 30 was deducted from the prepaid amount from my phone..I was told that they had deactivated the background music facility. I thought next time it would be deducted.However after some days, to my surprise
again there was a message thanking me for renewal of background music and that the charges will be deducted from me.Immediately i.e on[protected] I went to the Borivli-west Airtel Centre to complaint about the matter.The man at the counter was very non-cooperative and he told me that background music is a promotional kind of thing and it will appear every month and if I am not interested, I have to deactivate by using the number 543214 given by them.Immedetiately I got my phone deactivated for background music.In the process I lost an amount of Rs 10. Now TODAY, i.e[protected] when I checked the balance I found an amount of Rs 30 has been deducted .I have received a message thanking me for using Airtel service!
The points which I want to bring forth are.
1.Without obtaining the consumer's consent the background service activated and if the customer is silent or unaware, Airtel will cooly deducted the amount.
2.It is an unsolicited service fro discontinuation of which it is cast upon the consumer to approach Airtel to deactive by spending his own money.
3.Inspite of deactivating the background music which I never enjoyed, an amount of Rs 30 was deducted.
4.I happened to observe similar complaints from various affected people who are very gullible to such injustice.
5.The happening such events erode the credibility of company besides loosing the customers.

I would therefore request your good office to take up my case and resolve the matter.

I'm also have same type of proble.To cancel also is very difficult and expensive.This is realy disturbing me a lot.Calling customer care also not help full.

Hi,

Since last 2-3 weeks I am getting VAS messages even after I have not activated then. I have been getting messages from 290603.My service is Airtel Lifetime prepaid. The same issue with my another Airtel Lifetime prepaid. Please stop this service and pay back my money for both the mobiles nos.
