[Resolved]  Axis Bank Home Loan — Horrible experience with axis bank's home loan...

Dear Sirs,

This is Deepak from Bangalore . I restricted myself for a long time from writing this mail to you. But, when I didn't see any response and accountability from Axis Bank, I could no longer wait.

This all started sometime in March this year. I booked a flat in an apartment in Bangalore and was given the contact of Mr. Amit Sharma ([protected]) from Analytical Investments (for AXIS BANK) by the builder. Mr. Amit met me and I explained him my salary, expenses and other expense details, based on which, he confirmed me that I have the eligibility of 23 lacs. Since this amount was sufficient for me to go ahead, I proceeded with an understanding that eligibility is already assessed. Amit told me that one of his colleague will come to take the documents and cheque for processing fee for this home loan. Then, I was approached by Mr. Murugesh ([protected]), who came and collected my documents as well as the cheque of Rs. 5618 for the processing fee. I didn’t hesitate in giving the cheque since Mr. Amit had already confirmed me about my eligibility. Mr. Murugesh took all these and went back. The verification process started and I waited for long time thinking that everything is going on well. Within a couple of days, I saw that my bank account was debited with the cheque that I provided to AXIS Bank for Rs. 5618. This gave me more confidence that everything is going on well.

Suddenly, one day I got a letter at my home address stating that AXIS Bank can’t provide the loan to me. This was a shock. There was no reason mentioned in the letter. I called AXIS Bank’s office and talked to Ms. Renu ([protected], landline –[protected]. She said that the letter was sent by mistake and they are still working on the loan process. Later, she called me up and to my surprise; she said that my eligibility is not there for the loan. I was taken aback. This comment came from AXIS Bank even though Mr. Amit had already told me that I had eligibility of 23 lacs, after the address and other verification process were done, after the processing fee amount was taken from my account and after waiting for such a long time. I argued with Renu about how could then Mr. Amit tell that I had the eligibility. If I didn’t have the eligibility, I am not a fool to proceed with the loan process and waste my Rs. 5618. She again told me that she will work with her manager and come back to me. She called again a couple of days but, all of them to say that nothing could be done and my eligibility is not there and the loan can’t be sanctioned. I got annoyed and asked her to return back my processing fee amount. She said the policy is not there to return the amount. I understood from HDFC and ICICI Bank that if they don’t sanction the loan, all the documents along with the amount is returned back to the customer. But here, neither did I get back my documents till date, neither the amount.

When I saw nothing is yielding results, I asked Renu to give her manager’s number. She gave the number (sorry, I don't remember his name) and when I called, he was driving and said that he would call me back. I waited for a couple of days for his call. One fine day, one Ms. Indu (I think this was the name) called me and said that her manager wanted to know why I had called him a few days back. I explained her whole story but, she heard and told me the same thing – the processing fee can’t be returned. When I requested her again, she said that she will talk to her manager and call me back. This never happened. To follow up, when I called and talk to her, she said her manager is out of station and she doesn’t know when he will be back. Today, after more than a week, I am still waiting for the manager’s call.

Sir, as you see, this is a horrible experience. I was told that a panel has evaluated AXIS Bank as the best bank. I don’t know how. At least, I would never say that. You can see that they have given false information on the eligibility, collected the documents, taken the processing fee and then reverted back saying that eligibility is an issue. Till date, they have not returned the documents or the amount. Eligibility is the first thing that a customer takes care before giving any processing fee. But, AXIS Bank has cheated in this respect and has made some money out of this. I am not sure how many people would have experienced this with AXIS Bank. This looks like a good business for them. I don't think they have any business Ethics. How can they give false information to the customers and make money?

Sir, I would hence request you to please look into this matter urgently and help safeguard the customers’ rights. You help will definitely ensure that AXIS Bank doesn't repeat such cases down the line with any other customer.

AXIS BANK LIMITED — refund of processing fee - housing loan

Sub: Refund of Processing Fee
Ref: File No. 080305 of August 2008

This is to inform, that I had applied for Housing Loan with Axis BankLimited and had
paid an amount of Rs.5, 618/- (vide cheque No. 044379 drawn on Bank Of India, Basheerbagh Branch) towards processing fee, the same was presented and cleared by my bank on 02-Sep-08.

However, they had not intimated in writing to me about the sanction or otherwise of my loan application till date.

Hence, may I request them to kindly refund back the processing fee collected from me.

However, when I had tried to give them a written submission for the same, they refused take my appilication itself.

I totally agree with this. Axis Bank like most of the other Banks have time and again proved that despite a regulator like RBI they deal unfairly and unethically. So far as the customer service is concerned they are one of the worst... I would imagine that PSU's may be better than them. They also fooled me for a Personal Loan on which they promised a comitted processing fees but chagred 2.5 tmes higher feel. They did not stop there, they promised me that the excess charge wll be refunded but it never happened. When I lodged a complian, they called me to say that it was DSA's fault and they cannot do anything about it. It was just appalling.
I have been trying to change my address with them for last 1 month and have not been even able to get the right person who can make this change. I realise it was a horrible mistake on my part to take this loan from Axis Bank.

Personal Loan — Invalid receipts and not responding any of the axis ppl

Hi im shilpa.g i m thinking dat y did i took loan frm ur bank? I m not satisfied for ur service. Axis is not respecting the values of customers. They r very rude. I think ppl r working here for money not for the customer welfare
Dear Friends,

I can suggest first of all before looking for any property in market, we should get a pre-approval from Bank which is a certificate for our loan eligibilty based on our personal verifications and incomes. This will also be a deciding factor of our budget. This is a must. Then we should look for properties mentioned in the eligibility list of bank, otherwise we might end up in a problem. These bank agents have nothing to do with bank reputation or our personal problems, they are interested in picking our applications and processing charges.

I have seen agents sitting at builders office who promise loan at the time of your deal with bulider but they dont stand their words even the next day. The best way is to go by process and play every step safe.

I am facing a similar problem trying to close my account with ICICI Bank. How did you follow up on this matter ?? What is the legal action that we can take against ICICI regarding this ?

We had availed Homeloan from Centurian Bank of Punjqb Ltd. The said bank was merged in your bank.
We regret to note the following
1. We were intimated regarding this merger only upon our personal visit to your Kandivali (W) Branch. Till that time no communication was received from your Bank in this behalf.
2. We had submitted application to your Kandivali (W), Baranch in December 2008 for knowing our new/merged account numbers, for account statements, for provisanal interest certificate. We were intimated our migrated account numbers across the counter in your Branch. No communaication was received by us from your Bank in this behalf till that time.
3. Our migrated Account Nos. 90127065 and 90116168. We had requested I our application for account statements on quarterly basis at our recidential address. We as An account holders, have legitimate right if receiving our home loan Account statements at periodical intervals, provisional interest certificates and interest certificate for the respective Financial Years for Income Tax purpose at no cost to us. So far we have not received our account statements from your bank even after submission of the said application and personal request at the counter of your branch.

In view of the above we once again request you to send our account statements for the subject accounts at quarterly intervals at our recidential address at no costto us.

Further, with regard to your letter dated 11th May 2009, it has been mentioned that your representative/employees have been contacting us for getting revised ECS debit instructions. We would like to mention here that no representative/employees has even contacted usfo submission of your ECS debit instructions. Further, we are not in a position to conferm our liability in home loan accounts with you for giving your revised ECS debit instructiuons.

Further, our names have been written wrongly in our account numbers. We request you to incorporate names as per our original applications of the said account with you.

However, we will submit revised ECS debit applications to your branch within two weeks. In the mean time we expect to receive the necessary communication from your bank at the earliest.

homeloan — not giving response to complaint made in last week

My husband Mr. Nikhil Deshpande and me availed loan centurian bank of punjab which was merged with ur bank. Regarding various problemes we have mail complaint to you about
1. not getting of loan accounts statements of our loan accounts(loan account nos. are mention in previous complaint).
2. not getting any up dates from your bank
but we haven't given any reply from your office. We were especting reply with in 2-3 days from the date of complaint from your bank to give ECS clearnce to you. at fault if we would not able to give ECS statement if your bank will not give loan account statements. Again we need mention that to get timely loan account statement is our legetimate right.We are requesting you to send loan accounts staments to our postal address at the earliest.

homeloan — not giving response to my complaint dated 6 june 2009

I availed home loans from centurian bank of punjab which was merged with your bank. my merged home loan account nos. are 90116168 and 90127065. I have compaints about service given by HDFC Bank which I already mentioned in my complaint dated 6 june 2009. I am again requesting you to send statements of our home loan accounts at no charges.

Axis Bank — In appropriate way of extracting money from clients

Me and my family have more than one account with Axis Bank, Nerul, Navi Mumbai. Since June 09 one of our account has been charged 770 consolidated charges nad 77 service tax - twice. And my other account has been charged 990 consolidated charges and 99 service tax - once. The first time we saw the charge on our account we contacted the branch manager Mr. Aditya and asked him to reimburse as he admitted himself that we shouldnt be charged. He said he will get the refund in a weeks time.. This was back in July 09 and till date (Oct 2, 2009) I have not received my refund. Instead on 26 Sept 09 I am charged again.

In August, I requested Imran (Branch rep) to degrade my account to avoid further confusions and charges.. And he confirmed that its been taken care of. Yet, my accounts got charged and now I am so pissed at the management that I am not willing to continue holding my account with this bank ever.

I strongly recommend all those who read this complaint that stay away from opening an account with Axis bank.

Home Loan — Asking Details again & again

Dear Sir I am Ing vysya existing custmer, I am working in Kuwiat for Equate petrochemicals, I applied for Home loan through online, then from Hyderbad your representative come and collect all the Documents, he needs some supporting documents, I subbmitted also, again to day he is asking
my company HR Email ID, my Email ID ( he is communicating with me by email) company website etc, these all details i submitted, again he is asking i don't know why he is asking like this, I am sory to say this is completely wrong practice, I am not happy about all these.

I have purchased an old flat, the existing owner is having a home loan with Axis bank.
So, I have applied for loan transfer in same bank, as the process will be faster, but now 2 months have passed and till now i have not got the home loan.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH AXIS BANK's HOME LOAN...

My Name is Srinivas, Even I experienced the same problem with Axis Bank, My issues goes as below

Firstly I approached my nearest Axis Bank loan cell at Secunderabad swpnalok complex, A person from axis bank took all my documents and said that I have eligibility of availing the Home loan of 11 Laks, and taken all the documents and said that My loan is getting sanctioned, by believing his words I have given advance to land owner and later I came to know that I got sanctioned with 3 lacs and by that time they have taken a cheque of 5086 for processing and debited from the bank account. later on I rejected the loan of 3 Lacks, I arranged the money from other vendor and bought the house. and due to my financial situations, I have sold the house in 2 months, Now after one and half years Axis Bank people came to that property for sezing, I asked them why they are sezing the property, now they are saying that I have availed the loan and did not pay my EMIs. But actual fact is I did not take the loan at all. If I have taken the loan they should have the original document of property, but they are saying that they have the original document with them. Sezing people are every day making noize in front of the house, I have my original document with me, when I am showing them they are saying that this is not original document.

You should have lodged a complaint on RBI site. I dont know if they can help but we can give a try..

I am also very disappointed with AXIS Bank & its service. People are very arogant and careless for their customers money and time. AXIS Bank has very Pathetic service...!

Their management will run some scheme to attract more customers, they run such a scheme which they themselves are not capable to handle effectively. But they are master to handle excuses very effeciently..

Axis Bank, Bhandarkar Road, Pune — Required Loan Agreement/Customer Copy

Hi,

I am Sushant R Gaikwad having a Home loan with Axix bank from last September. From the day 1 till today , I did not recive the Required Loan Agreement/Customer Copy from the bank.

When I raised this issue with the bank ( I called the bank at[protected] and they asked me to send an email on their ID called "Customercare.[protected]@axisbank.com" and I will get it in 10 working days (I was so happy with his answer n reply). I did the same. The date was 29th December 2009.

Then the D day come and again called the bank about the status and they told me to send an another email with the status. And I recieved the immediate reply as follows, "We have forwarded the request to concerned department for your 'Loan Agreement Customer Copy'. The document will be dispatched to you from our CPU." The date was 9th Jan 2010. (It was hurry from my side)

Now today is 27th Jan 2010 , I havn't recieved any document neither email about the status or not even reply by phone or something.

If I did not give the any of the monthly installement to the bank, they will run behind me like anything.
Then why don't they provide the same service when ball is on their court.

Really pathetic experience with AXIX BANK. Please help me on the same.

Axis Bank — Agents of AXIS BANK Fools Customer

I was been Told by Ashish from AXIS Bank that please pay 18000/- and I will do the Settlement on the a/c. I paid the entire amount but again after few months I got Statement with mim. payment. There was nobody who can answer my queries. I raised a Complaint but nothing Worked.
They forced me to do a new settlment for 12000/- for 3months for 4000/- per month. I agreed, because this is INDIA, government does nothing in this country, they are busy with their innogration and things like that. In second month that is today I had a Medical problems and was not in position to pay the money for 4000/- but the Agent name Prajja Forced me that you will have to pay or the settlement will be cancelled she said "WE DON'T CARE FOR CUSTOMER PROBLEM BECAUSE YOU HAVE AGREED FOR SETTLEMENT YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY".
Would like to end here. becasue I know that this is INDIA, Government do not care for people of thier country, and Private Companies Rules Govenment.

Bank — Bank Loan

Sub.:- A complaint in Reference to the below mentioned Loan Account.

Dear Sir,

This is for your information that I have received a letter against the loan account no 326171 on 10/03/2010 from “MAS Financial Services Ltd.” It is noticed that in that particular letter MAS Financial Services Ltd. clearly indicated that my first EMI of Rs. 1709/- is due .
Few days ago I have applied a Personal loan to loan agent.
He told me for success of loan of Rs.50 Thousand and receives Rs.1000 for processing charge and original documents alongwith blank cheques to do the loan. He said that without the processing amount, he cannot start the process. He said the loan would be sanctioned and so I agreed to pay for the processing amount. He agreed to provide me loan after verifying my details and my credit standing. And when the time of the signing of the agreement came within the next day of informing that they have approved my credit standing and other details, they said that the interest rate is increased as their previous scheme got over. How is it possible that they inform one rate of one day and another rate after everything is agreed by the customer.
Therefore, I refused to take their loan and I am happy that I made such a decision.

But he did not return my latest original documents and blank cheques. I do not know why they charges all the processing fees and why they are not sending my documents till date????
Now, bank is sending cheque to his bank account. But there is no enough balance so, the cheque is bouncing.
I have receiving threating calls on my mobile as well as my land line no. from MAS Financial Services Ltd. Collection dept. who is using unparliamentry and abused words me on call.
I demand an explanation that till date I have not received any communication/ confirmation and more so over, no cheque/ payment from the MAS Financial Services Ltd., then how come they can demand EMI from me.

I wonder, which is this kind of banking, where without giving loan to borrower, the lender (MAS Financial Services Ltd.) demands repayment.

I am completely baffled and frustrated at such a lingering and dark functioning of the bank. I state in clear terms, that you cancel this loan with immediate effect, I am not liable for a single paise payment to you, and if you people try to harass me, I would be forced to lawful measures against Bank.

You are advised to revert to me with the confirmation of cancellation of this phantom loan and return my documents at the earliest.
I have been harresed by MAS Financial Services Ltd. collection dept.I m suffering from mental stress &feeling like to do suiside & I will do like this…. For that the MAS Financial Services Ltd. will be responsible.

I have already waited for your response and now bullishly you demand EMI without disbursing loan to the borrower.
