[Resolved]  Axis Bank Home Loan — Horrible experience with axis bank's home loan...

Dear Sirs,

This is Deepak from Bangalore . I restricted myself for a long time from writing this mail to you. But, when I didn't see any response and accountability from Axis Bank, I could no longer wait.

This all started sometime in March this year. I booked a flat in an apartment in Bangalore and was given the contact of Mr. Amit Sharma ([protected]) from Analytical Investments (for AXIS BANK) by the builder. Mr. Amit met me and I explained him my salary, expenses and other expense details, based on which, he confirmed me that I have the eligibility of 23 lacs. Since this amount was sufficient for me to go ahead, I proceeded with an understanding that eligibility is already assessed. Amit told me that one of his colleague will come to take the documents and cheque for processing fee for this home loan. Then, I was approached by Mr. Murugesh ([protected]), who came and collected my documents as well as the cheque of Rs. 5618 for the processing fee. I didn’t hesitate in giving the cheque since Mr. Amit had already confirmed me about my eligibility. Mr. Murugesh took all these and went back. The verification process started and I waited for long time thinking that everything is going on well. Within a couple of days, I saw that my bank account was debited with the cheque that I provided to AXIS Bank for Rs. 5618. This gave me more confidence that everything is going on well.

Suddenly, one day I got a letter at my home address stating that AXIS Bank can’t provide the loan to me. This was a shock. There was no reason mentioned in the letter. I called AXIS Bank’s office and talked to Ms. Renu ([protected], landline –[protected]. She said that the letter was sent by mistake and they are still working on the loan process. Later, she called me up and to my surprise; she said that my eligibility is not there for the loan. I was taken aback. This comment came from AXIS Bank even though Mr. Amit had already told me that I had eligibility of 23 lacs, after the address and other verification process were done, after the processing fee amount was taken from my account and after waiting for such a long time. I argued with Renu about how could then Mr. Amit tell that I had the eligibility. If I didn’t have the eligibility, I am not a fool to proceed with the loan process and waste my Rs. 5618. She again told me that she will work with her manager and come back to me. She called again a couple of days but, all of them to say that nothing could be done and my eligibility is not there and the loan can’t be sanctioned. I got annoyed and asked her to return back my processing fee amount. She said the policy is not there to return the amount. I understood from HDFC and ICICI Bank that if they don’t sanction the loan, all the documents along with the amount is returned back to the customer. But here, neither did I get back my documents till date, neither the amount.

When I saw nothing is yielding results, I asked Renu to give her manager’s number. She gave the number (sorry, I don't remember his name) and when I called, he was driving and said that he would call me back. I waited for a couple of days for his call. One fine day, one Ms. Indu (I think this was the name) called me and said that her manager wanted to know why I had called him a few days back. I explained her whole story but, she heard and told me the same thing – the processing fee can’t be returned. When I requested her again, she said that she will talk to her manager and call me back. This never happened. To follow up, when I called and talk to her, she said her manager is out of station and she doesn’t know when he will be back. Today, after more than a week, I am still waiting for the manager’s call.

Sir, as you see, this is a horrible experience. I was told that a panel has evaluated AXIS Bank as the best bank. I don’t know how. At least, I would never say that. You can see that they have given false information on the eligibility, collected the documents, taken the processing fee and then reverted back saying that eligibility is an issue. Till date, they have not returned the documents or the amount. Eligibility is the first thing that a customer takes care before giving any processing fee. But, AXIS Bank has cheated in this respect and has made some money out of this. I am not sure how many people would have experienced this with AXIS Bank. This looks like a good business for them. I don't think they have any business Ethics. How can they give false information to the customers and make money?

Sir, I would hence request you to please look into this matter urgently and help safeguard the customers’ rights. You help will definitely ensure that AXIS Bank doesn't repeat such cases down the line with any other customer.

I also agree with you all...axis bank is worst bank in india...I also taking loan from axis...but he is making me fool while saying after 3 days verification department will come...bus today is 12 days and there is no person who do verificaion and i need loan on urgent bases, ...but then only no response...

Axis Bank — Change in type of account without approval

I opened an account in 2003 with Axis bank as student's account.It was told to me that it is a zero balance account.Now when I check my account, the bank has converted my account to savings account and they are deducting 750 rs per quarter from my account without my knowledge.On raising the query,bank says that they have send a courier to my college for the change.
People in bank should be sane enough that a person can not be in a college for the whole of their life.Please help me in getting me my money back.they have stolen 3000/- form my account

with reference to our email, I once again bring to your kind notice you have not send the necessary document like Xerox copy of the Bank intimation letter received by you & Statement of Accounts till now after paying the EMI for Rs.8,234/- by Cheque No.995744 dated 18.8.2011, as the dispute has to be settled by our Banker.

Inspite of sending official letter by post and email & several telephonic calls, we get such a irresponsible response from your Staff, which is highly regrettable and when I discuss the same with my friends & other Banker they also admit that this is the way of functioning of MNC's Banks with the customer and you will have a horrible time & they will not give respect to the customers once they take the documents, which I am also experiencing the same.

I hope Axis Bank Management will also agree for avoiding the customer for communication and I am very unhappy with the way they respond to the Customers.

If any reply is not received from your end within 15 days, I am forced to approach the consumer readdressal cell in this regard. A. Damodhar.

Axis Bank — Home Loan

i have taken a home loan in axis bank and after sanctioning the loan they fixed a emi amount per month and with out even informing the customer they increase emi ,when i have taken loan they said prepayment can be done in any axis bank i have done a prepayment even after a month they have not deducted the amount which i paid ,when i have mailed a query to the bank they mentioned that i should pay in particular branch in which loan is sanctioned and if i pay in other bank it will take 20 days to reflect in your account ,they have given two three customer care numbers no body will pick the call i have never seen such a worst service plz avoid axis for home loan

Axis Bank Nagpur Sales Manager forced my brother Mr. Ashish Vinchurkar to take Life Insurance policy of 45, 000 and threaten to cancel my brother's Sanction Loan of 23, 00, 000 against property (Flat) loan if we don't take Life Insurance. Even though we requested and informed him that as per RBI mandate, no Bank can force us to to take Life Insurance but they didn't accepted our plea.

Bank official have forced us to accept us left wiht no choice for us in our Loan amount and surprisingly my brother has to pay this amount it with Interest during Term Period !!

This is totally not accepted from such a reputed Bank

Axis Bank — Present Housing Loan getting very worst

Dear Customers,

This is Ravi from Bangalore and I tell you that, I really felt very bad and got irritated myself in taking housing loan from Axis Bank.
I did a lot of research and checked the reviews for the best banking for housing loans and unfortunately i tied up for housing loan with this bank.
I tell you never ever believe the banks saying they provide you loan withing(7 or 15days) from the date of documents submission. I also thought initially at least it will take 1month to get sanction of my loan and I tell you almost 2 months over and till now getting the loan is secondary the submission of documents to bank itself is taking almost 60days.
The agent is saying you will get today tommorow and Finally he said you will not get any loan for this property and check for other property loans.

Also please beware that there are few agents for housing loan who say that they from Axis bank,but they are not direct agents of Axis bank but an agent of an Axis bank agent,like in my case Murthy from Bangalore,Sahakaranagara.The funniest part is that this guy Murthy introduced himself as Axis bank agent and when i asked him somedays before where is your bank can i meet u there and he said he doesn't know exactly where is his bank address properly.
Dear Friends I don't wanna discuss about this Incident anymore but i tell you that give this information to anybody who know you and ask them to be very careful about the present Axis Bank housing loan processing.
I will try till end and if i don't get the loan at-last i will circulate this mail to all of my friends in IT department.

similar experience -AXIS Bank is pocketing the amount for processing fee of 5516 and in my case this was balance transfer of 30 lacs from ICICI-they checked all my documnets said loan would go through and now they have taken processing fee and claims cannot process, despite showing them all documents.

I purchased a flat in Ghaziabad on Aug 2012 by taking a home loan of Rs.18 Lacs (Tenure: 20 years) from the great "AXIS BANK" and the EMI of my flat was started from Oct 2012 (i.e. 16100/- per month). After 1 year the bank had increased my EMI by approx. Rs.600 with the reason of being increased in interest rate.After 8-10 months, I went to bank and asked for a loan certificate. When i saw the certificate, I was surprised that my tenure was increased by 30 years and the tenure was then showing for 50 years (approx. 560 months). This was really disgusting and when I asked this from Axis bank executive, they told me the same reason (i.e. interest rate was increased so that we increased your tenure - what the ...). The Axis bank policies are really crap ..I will never recommend anybody (either he/she is my enemy) to take/borrow a single pie from this so called "Super" bank, as this bank is not giving you any loan, it only gives you life time tension. This bank not for people like us (small fish), this bank is only meant for "big fish".

I AM AGAIN REQUESTING YOU GUYS THAT DON'T TAKE ANY SORT OF LOAN (PL, CL, HL, LAP) FROM THIS "CRAP" BANK.

Absolutely right I am also taking loan from axis bank .Bank make money by various ways like these. Every bodies in customer care says like parrot, this is Axis bank policy, no body come forward for taking any responsibility or short out any problem of customer.
Who is responsible for providing answers to all these incidents ??
This website reads consumer complaints, but have never seen any one answering any of these questions.

Yes, This is 100% right statement on Axis Bank. I am suffering the same thing with axis bank at pune branch. I request to all people dont go with axis bank home loan proposals. They dont have any link with each others, always give false commitment. I really fed up this things.
