[Resolved]  Bantia Furniture, Hyderabad — Horrible customer service

Shopping at Bantia furniture was one my worst experiences. I was lured into the shop by huge showroom area. But you can make out the difference the moment you step into the showroom. You distinctly get the feel of a government run showroom as the staff don’t show any interest in customers. Even the supervisors are also as dud as the sales staff. I took some furniture for my sons birthday and paid the entire amount. They promised me that the furniture will be delivered to my residence and gave contact of one delivery person by name Vijay/Ramesh. When the furniture did not come even after 4 days I called up the given numbers and was amazed to get a crude response. I escalated this behavior to one manager Arshad, who promised that the furniture will be deliverd the next day evening. But I should have understood their false promise, as the furniture never got delivered even after 10 days. Then when I wanted to speak to the owner/proprietor, Arshad said I need to come when ever they are there in the show room and said he cant give their numbers. During the entire episode it was only I who was calling them, they never had the courtesy to call and inform the customer about any update/change in plan etc.

I was finally forced to visit the showroom to sort out the matter. You need to see it to believe it the way they treat customer once the sale is thru. They were speaking as if I owed them some money and it was my fate that I went to their showroom.

Since I was completely dissatisfied by their service and commitment level, I asked them to cancel the order and refund the money. Believe me I was made to look stupid for asking refund. I was made to run at lease 10 times to their shop to get the refund. The best part is even after two weeks I have still not got my refund.

Hi All, Further to the above review or reviews i Amith Bantia (director marketing/sales) sincerely apologies for the inconvenience , i have taken all the points into consideration and i have taken necessary actions against the entire channel , i now promise to have good customer service and good customer relationship which was already their but in some cases i found missing i will take it seriously and see that it never repeats again, moreover we are planning to have a separate team to CRM and CS where in future the things can flow smoothly. Hi friends i was surprised that bantia furniture really making jokes to the customers, i saw add on Deccan chronicle on 27th July and visit bantia Sikh village on 28th July with my family for Recliner sofa cost is Rs 39999 only.when i select the sofa he just add 14.5 % vat on that means 5800 Rs extra.Total cheating.my Sunday waste my petrol waste.Please don't do any deal with them .

Note Bantia :- Please give total Cost including Vat on your Add. Don't make people fools.

Please please i request all not to go to Bantia Furniture. They are simply looting public. No service at all. I bought cot for which the length and breadth were not same what they told there. When asked they told it is imported and we cannot do anything. Very bad service. People who came to fit also do not know there work. Now the cot is broken. Please do not go. Total waste of money.
I have purchased Imported Dining table (1+6) againist your order/bill no 26430 on 18 Sep 2013. I am loding regular complaints against the dining table regarding inside the glass is not fixed properly because of the size.

Moreover all the 6 chairs are not comportable due to legs up and down. No body is responding even my regular complaints on Phone No[protected].

I agree with you. They do not deliver on time; make lame excuses and provide damaged furniture. I had this experience last week. ARUN is the name of the person at Malakpet branch who is rude, ruthless and arrogant. He sent the sofa set after 1 week from the promised date with wrong sofa covers and damaged leg. He is an HOLE to deal with. The discounts are false. I do not know about others, but Arun's moto is "Promises made are not to be kept". Try to teach him to call in case the delivery is not getting done so that we can go out for other chores; but he never does and ignores every time. Please keep yourself away from Bantia and their false promises.
I bought a Flash model sofa 3+2 from Bantia furnitures at Malakpet. During the booking of the sofa, they were very attentive. On payment of total amount they have sent sofa to my residense at night arount 10pm. We didnot check properly at night. When we checked in morning there have not stiched properly . thread is coming out and it looks like old Sofa. Inspite of several calls and my personal visit to Bantia there is no response. Today i spoke to mr.kishan jee he informs that, one person by name prasad is resigned and he took away all the records. Once again he has noted my complaint. I donot know, when they will solve the problem...K.Venugopal.

Bantia furniture is the worst furniture showroom ever. the product is pathetic and the staff they are just like the product good for nothing. i request people to never buy any product there, its a waste of money and they are big cheats, when we try to contact them for any problem they wont even care..

I would like to give Minus (-) rating as Bantia furniture quality not even eligible for providing rating of 1, I would say Worst quality furniture in B, I have bought a Sofa and Double cot bed from Kukatpally, I was in an assumption that Bantia provides some quality furniture but it is completely wrong, it is simply waste of our hard earned money, so friends beware and never ever buy products from Bantia.
The Worst quality furniture, I have bought Sofa and Double bed cot from Bantia, Kukatpally, within a year a came to know the actual and the bad quality of the products, so friends please do not buy any furniture in Bantia.
This weekend i visited bantia furniture in kompally planningto buy a dining table. I was under the impression with ads going on in thenewspapers as this shop has a good reputation in the twin city. However when ivisited the showroom i came to know the facts of the showroom actually. Thedining table with the price tag of 25k is not worth 10 or 12k. I visit Vishal furniturein alwal which has a good collection of furniture with a reasonable price tag.However i could the purchase there as i didn't have the finance options so iopted for other showrooms and finally ended up in bantia furniture. To mysurprise the same dining table with a price tag of 17k was tagged 27k in bantiafurniture and the quality is pathetic. I couldn't the digest the fact that howbantia can fool the customers with such a difference. Bantia Furniture - The worst place to visit, customers just be aware..!!!

You are very much right Sandeep Deshpande. Bantia Furniture Customer service is very rude and pathetic. All the offers which they give are on damaged or defect furniture.

In my case, I along with my mom went to Bantia Furniture located in Sikh Road Secunderabad on 27 Sep'14. As I am already from a retail sector, I told my mom that such kind of offers are just to get walkins for their store and nothing would be really worth that discount. Still my mom forced me to take as she was excited by seeing the paper ads. We went there and started seeing Dining tables, meanwhile one of the sales executive approached us. I told him that we would surely call him if any assistance is needed. Then he went away. I and my mom were seeing each and every dining table as we were really in an intention to buy. Then we called the sales executive for 5 min's and asked him on which dining table offer was applicable which they gave in paper ad. He showed us the same, but when I looked at it closely it was a defect piece with some breakages. When I asked him if there is any new piece of the same then he was very sarcastic and he told that "all the offers where on defect pieces and why would Bantia offer such huge discount on new pieces". That answer was put up very sarcastically and I was just shocked hearing it. I just ignored and made him let go. As I and my mom were interested in purchasing dining table we went on to see other new dining tables. In the end we finally liked two dining tables and called the sales executive to give us the final price and told them that we would purchase the same in EMI. He gave us a calculation saying that additional VAT will be applicable on the given price and he told that I need to make down-payment of minimum two to 3 EMI's. Then I asked him that his paper ad stated that customer can Pay Rs.1 and the remaining amount would be converted to EMI. For this he told that the offer was not applicable on dining tables. Later I asked him 10 min of time and made him let go so that I can discuss with my mom and give her the exact price including taxes. When we found that it is not worth buying and as it is not according to the ad what they have given, my mom was dissappointed. Then we made a decision not to get fooled and walk away. Then I called the sales executive and said him "thanks for the service, we will visit again". I was just shocked by the response of that sales executive. When a customer says "thank you" what would he expect?????? I want to ask this to the Bantia's. Do you understand the meaning of "thank you" or do you teach your staff that "thank you" is a disrespectful word?????
I got reply from the sales executive very rudely that "who needs your thanks, you wasted my 2hrs time, when you didn't wanted to purchase why did you come to my store." Hearing this I really got frustrated with his words and just blasted him with words, thank god I didn't beat him because my mom was along with me and she would fear seeing me kicking his .

The other sales executive was coming and saying to let him go as he might be frustrated on given sales target and in an intention to sell he would have told it. I want to ask the Bantia's, Do you give such huge sales targets to sales executives by which your sales executives get frustrated and behave rude to customers???????

That sales executive was not even assisting us for 15 min's and in the end he states that he was with us for 2 hrs. I dont understand one thing, is it compulsory for a customer to purchase furniture if he visits Bantia??????

That sales executive was putting his brand already down by saying that Bantia gives offers only on defected pieces. Why does Bantia entertain such kind of staff??????

I want all my friends, colleagues and other customers who already faced this pathetic service to share this article and make your friends also aware how pathetic Bantia Furniture is and how badly they fool the customers with paper ad's and discounts.

This is with deep regret that am writing to you. We purchased Flash Model sofa set from showroom at Malakpet with bill no: 5914 on 10th May. Within less than a month it got damaged and from that day till today we have been trying to reach out to their offices and lodged a complaint too but there is no response. The management at Malakpet office is least bothered to address or even pick our calls. This is the way these guys treat their customer. What about the 1 year free customer service that they promised. Such a terrible customer service from these guys. These people give all false commitments but never care in resolving customer issues. Till date no one has even come to check the condition of the sofa at my home.


Buying from Bantia was one biggest shopping blunders. Never gonna suggest this store to any of my friends or relatives. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE STORES


They do not even deserve a rating or 1 star. Pathetic is a very small word for their customer services.

I have given a complaint about my Sofa on 18 Nov 2014, complaint sl no 57. I have visited your showroom also three times for the follow up but nothing has happened till date. The Sofa was bought last year vide invoice no 27830 dt 06 Dec 2013. The support staff at the showroom are very rude and not at all client friendly. Request you to kindly look into the issue. Recd study table from Bantia through amazon today by DTDC. Loose wooden planks in cracked condition with some screws, without any assembly instructions. Feeling very cheated. Never buy anything online again.
