[Resolved]  BSES Rajdhani — charging for burnt meter

I am Madhumita, my CRN no is [protected]. My meter got burnt on10th of October at night. First I made a complain through phone then on 11th I went to the CRPF Najafgarh office to complain about my burnt meter. One of the output connection was burnt. I was told that I'll have to pay a nominal charge for that single connection.
I was called at MMG laboratory at Pushp Vihar, Delhi on 11/11/09 because the burnt meter was to be checked in front of me. It was otherwise OK except that one output connection.
But when I got the bill (bill no-422327) in November, it showed ARREARS of Rs.2333.98/-,when I asked the customer care cell-I was said it is for the new meter.
My question is when the meter was burnt without any mistake of mine, then why should I have to pay this amount? I am ready to take the old meter after the rectification needed.
Please see that this Rs.2333.98/- is waved off from my next bill.

Hello Madam,

I'm living in Vikas Puri and I'm having the same case as yours. Though my visit to MMG laboratory at Pushp Vihar is still pending, but my latest bill shows new meter charges for over Rs. 2000/-. Could you advise me on what happened further in your case and how did you resolve the issue.
