[Resolved]  Cholamandalam Dbs Finance — Wihout information ECS was presented

The aforesaid loan has been taken as on 23rd January, 2008 from Cholamandalam DBS. for a period of 3 years for an EMI of Rs. 6717 to be represented as on 5th Of Every month to be started from March - 2008...Till the date all emis were cleared properly.

As on 5th October, 2008, one of the emi got bounced inspite of having balance in our account.. For which we called ur customer care call center, which told us that there is no system of representation of emi which we asked for and we were told that an executive will be sent and payment can made to that person. An executive was sent by cholamandalam as on 11th October, 2008 and payment was made to him in Cash vide receipt no. 688438 to Mr. Ashfaq. So my emi for october which was bounced got cleared and no amount was due on behalf of myself.

As on 21st October, 2008 when i checked my Hsbc bank account no.[protected] from which cholamandalams emi are going through internet banking id - gr8chirag, at 10 AM - IST, there was an entry of representation of emi of rs. 6717 of choalamandalam dbs, and there was a charge of rs. 309.75 from my bank due to insufficient funds...

When i called customer care toll free no. of cholamandalam on[protected] at 10.20 AM, Indian Standard Time as on 21/10/2008, and talked with executive Miss Bhanu, she told me that there was a technical error from cholamanalam side and due to which the emi has been represented...and they are sorry for the inconvenience caused to me, When i asked for a complaint no. she said there is no system of complaint no. Loan account no. is only complaint no...

When i asked her, are you going to refund me the cheque bounce charges which has been charged to me due to technical mistake from your side, she said we don't have any such system..we only refund emi, and not charges related thereto and we are again sorry for any inconvenience which has been caused to me.I told her to give call to seniors. My call was transferred to Miss Chitra. Miss chitra also said it is a technical error from Cholamandalam DBs and we are sorry and we won't refund the charges which has been charged by our bank. and We dont have system of giving customer any complaint no. and none of our managers and superiors are going to call you back with regard to the same. Miss chitra gave me a no. [protected] on which call was made from 28440130 but the no.was constant busy.

(1) There is a mistake in your system...first you say there is no representation of emi. then you represented it.

(2) You don't have system of giving complaint no. which is generally done and which is a must for all the banks and financial institutions..and such a system is very common..If your organisation thinks such a system should not be there, then rich you won't become but famous you will be surely by your technical expertise,

(3) Payment has been made, but the system was not upadated...Updating system is your job, not of customers..I don't operate your computers..otherwise i would have done by myself...

(4) Your both executives accepted that there is a clear technical error in ur system due to which the emi was represented inspite of saying no and inspite of making payment.

(5) A lot of inconvenience has been caused to me. All banks have sorry as the last word...if there is mistake from our side, then you dont forfeit none of your charges. Late Fees, Penalty, Service Tax. Same rule is applicable to you also.There is a clear deficiency in consumer services as per the consumer protection act prevailing in India. You just cant get away just by saying sorry.

- Compensation of Rs. 20, 000/- which is calculated on the basis of following

(1) for inconvenience which has been caused to me due to disnonour of ecs without consent and due to technical mistake in your system.
(2) Wastage of Time in talking and arguing with 2 of your customer care executives...
(3) Writing this email and sending it to .
(4) Mental Harrassment.
(5) Refund the amount charged to me by HSBC bank.- Rs. 309.75
(6) Spoiling my bank statement and credit worthiness and bringing down the reputation and goodwill of myself.

You can directly deposit the money in MY HSBC Account[protected]. See i am so fast... or else we can meet in consumer court and surely in front of media... Your system is so unorganised which others should also know. so that no one comes to take loan from your bank...

Kindly take down my written request for foreclosure of this loan and refund me the compensation amount.. Your sorry is not enough. If i delay your payment and say sorry then you will accept my sorry only with late fees charges. right...so similar rule is applicable to you.

I find all your financial managers. very funny. who has made rules and your system of collecting payment and disbursing loan. Lawyers dont get loan, but i was given. from day one you are committing mistake...nothing more..Reply only with money ready and keep sorry for your wife and mother in law.. and be hero in front of them by saying that i am working in bank...not in front of me..

This is Priya from Visag, ,

I really want to appreciate you from the bottom of my heart for the above
complaint you logged..It gave me some hope to fight for my friend regarding
her personal loan with the same company.

The funniest part is that I was looking for a customer care number online
to log a complaint and landed on the same page of the above link you gave,
which is really useless, but somehow this page opened up and grabbed
my attention to go through the lines and here I am responding for the same.

No wonder you managed to take the issue up with so ease as you are a lawyer
yourself, but think how we, commoners can handle such peoblems, where in
we don't have any idea how to take it up and whom to take it up with, so we just
end up losing our money and prestige. I lot of times thought I should go to the
consumer court for so many issues, but have nobody to guide or help me.
and the spare time has always been a problem.

I am posting the link of your complaint to couple of my friends, so it can become
a JAAGO RE kind of campaign. Please post any such issues if you have tackled
which can enlighten the public, and let me know if any such organisations where
we can approach, for help..

I had applied a LAP loan from your company on dated 12Feb2009. I made severall queries there after to know about the status of my application but no satisfactory response was received today it has been almost 45 days since i applied for this loan still my problem remain the same. Today when i visited Ludhiana branch Mr RAVINDER KUMAR and some other official behaved with me in a very bad manner and used the ABUSIVE language also. When i asked to refund my processing fee amount of rs:2809/. The official these will not be returned Mr RAVINDER have also taken rs:4000/ for the purpose of increasing of property value because he said that my property value is not suitable for this loan. I request you to please look into the matter seriously and refund my all money also clarify the reason for not giving the loan otherwise i will submit a case against your company in CONSUMER COURT.Please revert as soon as possible.

Dear Sir/Madam,

With reference to your settlement letter no 9531 dated 19.03.10, I accept this letter on behalf of my mother's loan. As per settlement letter I paid Rs.4500/- vide cheque no. 497900 dt 22.03.10 against recipt no 1663338 dt 22.3.10 as 1st instalment of settlement. This Cheque was cleared from my bank on 27 th March 10.
But I am surprised to see deduction of Rs.2121/- through ECS from my mother's pention account against the same loan.
therefore you are requested to pls refund Rs. 2121/- as I am paying the settlement amount as per the settlement letter.

I am having a personal loan from Cholamandalam, my loan a/c number is xsegsh[protected], i had already received settelment Letter from your site in 4th strok in Amount of 16000/-, i already paid 9000/-of this month, my settelment due in this month and our site balansing Amount is Rs.7000/-, So this time i am not paid of Rs.7000/-, So requested to you please give 15days time (15 Oct 2010) i will paying Full Amount of Rs.7000/-So please understand my problem. Your But the Collection Agents is haunting me, every now and then.
