[Resolved]  Club Mahindra Holidays — Refund of Down Payment

Dear Sir,

I was invited to ClubMahindra outlet sector-35, chandigarh over phone, to which I visited along with my family . After spending an hour with an marketing executive Mr. Bhanu & Vinay, I was forced to convienced that I should take the membership. I asked him let us take a day to think over it and go through the product details and than we will take the decision. But, his aggressive marketing skills made us to take the membership on the spot, on 7th Feb 2012 by paying Rs.16833 on the spot by credit card. They filled the form & made 10 EMI vide credit card & i issued 2 cheques of HDFC bank in advance.

After going through the document I came across clause that there is annual subscription fees of Rs.9681(which is extra). On the very next day i.e. 8th Feb 2012 I approached their office & given application for cancellation & receipt was given by Mr. Vinay & was told that your refund will be paid by chq. with in 1 month .I agreed with them but till date there is no refund has been received. After that I got one sms message on 02/03/12 saying wecome to club mahindra family. Next day i got sms that your membership no is 2406447.

I called your call center about the story they told me that you 'll get a call from our office with in 2 days but till date nobody called up.
I had called last week & given complaint no 3722955 for refund of my down payment paid Rs.16833/-

please help me out of these fraud people & to get my money back.

Club Mahindra — Refund Of Downpayment

I am Arindam Das from Serampore (Hooghly) took the membership of Club Mahindra. I got my membership activated on 09th of September. Then I found certain blogs and post over the internet saying that many loopholes about the Club Mahindra Holidays. The membership clause says if one cancels within 10 days then he/she will get the whole money back of the down payment which is 33, 725 Rupees for this case. So I have sent one email on 19th of September for cancellation of my membership (Membership Id# 1369707). But now when I contacted the Kolkata Branch Office of Club Mahindra I got different response. One representative from Kolkata branch office of Club Mahindra says that if you give your first EMI I will ensure you will get 20, 000 Rs as returned money back. This is not a good example of business ethics rather it is a case of cheating common people. I am a Software Engineer and currently working in UK. I have put my hard earned money here. I am eligible for the money back. Though this people are not ready to give my money back.

Bitter Experience - No Transperancy - Poor Service

I am a member with RED One Bed Room.
The membership No: 1485634. The amount paid is Down payment of Rs.43, 727/-

Today, ie on 1st July'09 I called the customer service for reserving munnar resort from 22nd August'09 to 30th August'09.Your executive told me to wait till he checks and he told me after 3minutes that it is not available from 22nd but available from 24th Aug'09.As it is blue season I asked him to recheck and he took 5minutes to recheck and told me that it is available from 23rd Aug'09.Before confirming the line got disconnected.
I called again after 20 minutes.Another executive attended and I explained everything to her and she made me wait 5 minutes and said I have to take one bed room accommodation as one bed room is not available. I told her that the other executive has checked and informed me that it is available.She rechecked by taking another 5 minutes and told me that I have to take two bed room accommodation only.when I explained her that mine is a small family as such I do not need two bed room and at the same time I do not want shorten my holiday by utilizing bigger accommodation.

I feel that there is no transparency in your reservation system.When one can book domestic as well as international flights online and train tickets and bus tickets online and hotel bookings online, TTD is providing online booking for e-seva and accommodation, then why aren't you able to provide online reservation. I feel there is something fishy about this.You are creating artificial demand and making us pay extra amounts.

Immediately I have come to the conclusion that the company is fooling the public I requested for cancellation of membership and return the down payment that I have made.I have already mailed two times for the cancellation.

I request you to note this as a notice to the company.

My Membership No is 1875917, is there any way for me to get back the down payment of Rs. 26, 570/- because I have lost faith in this company's capability in giving me a satisfactory holiday !
Club Mahindra... STAY AWAY from the company... I am a (un-happy) member too, even after paying so much, I do not get my holidays, they ask us to plan 6 months in advance, all services in their resorts are to be paid extra, dining charges are too high, ASF (annual subscription fees) to be paid extra each year in addition to membership fees (the ASF charges increase every year), not all resorts have kitchenettes... long list of issues which the management doesn;t care for, all they want is to make new members. Indira - please stop posting the same old lines on all the complaints, whatever the resolution, please post it here so that everyone should know what CM is doing for the complaints.

You saved me i only paid abt 2% of that.thanks this website to save my 98 % money.
Mr.Vinit Parekh also gave me false information, when i checked here i dont like approach of any of mahindra executive.so i mailed him to terminate my membership as it is in 10 days now no one is answering my phone or no reply to my mail.Mr. vinit told you cant terminate membership because u took in anniversary offer.i know this is not correct because when i told him to send email stating that.he not replied.
mr. saurav tell me what i have to do to take my downpayment back as it is within 10 days.

Hi All,
I have this CM membership and I already have paid 5 emi's on top of the initial registration, what I have experienced are here below:
(1)even after you ended up paying your full membership amount you will have to pay 9000+ amount for yearly maintenance fee (even if you wont avail your holiday) so just keep in mind that for rest of 25yrs you will have to pay 9+ every year.This they will skip or just one liner where certainly you will miss that.
(2)The so called gift vouchers : now lets say if you are in mumbai then you cannot redeem you gift vouchers against any of the resorts which will be close to mumbai. In other words you will have to take leave and bear the travel expenses and then go far to their specific resort just to redeem those vouchers so be prepare for this also.
(3) AVAILABILITY: being a working class guy we all know taking leaves are not always easy and if you are lucky enough to get one month before and planning to enjoy your holiday in CM resorts then I am very much certain that you wont get the availability or if it would be there it must not be matching your leave taken. SO FIRST CHECK THE RESORT AVAILABILITY THEN SEEK LEAVE FROM YOUR MANAGER ...lol
(4)FALSE CLAIM: as CM says they have so many resorts within india, when you will plan for your holiday you will limit your choice, they have only limited resorts and there is one fine line " if you visit one resort then for another fixed period you cannot avail the same" so check this also.
(5)Quality of resorts might be 5star as what they claim, not sure but certainly dont limit your choice as you might want to visit Goa you might not get resort availability there and they may ask you to visit uttranchal, for the EMIs you paid you may get very good hotels at the same season and same quality when CM refuse to give you availability.
(6)The cancellation poilicy is also vague, if you call to cancellation they will just point you to CLAUSE NO. X PARA Y so careful keep your EXIT DOORS OPEN.

My figures are paining now to type this endless flaws and how CM trap you by showing the lollipop, guys before jumping just take some lesson from people who are already drowned. Those were my experiences if you do want to take this CM membership do clear yourselves about all the mentioned points above.
I have enrolled for a membership on[protected] through one of the Sales manager named Mr. Prakash Mishra from Growels, Kandivali branch. I was cheated by some lucrative offer and so paid him Rs. 26, 200/- through my credit card. But later on I realised all the offer and promised and not correct so I decided to cancel the membership and get my refund of Down payment as promised by the Sales manager and mentioned in the Application form.
I am being trying to contact the Sales manager from past 2 days but there is no response from his side. Which is very obvious proof of services offered by Club Mahindra. I would like to escalate this issue to highest authority of club mahindra and still the there is no responses I would ask my lawyer and press to intervene which would not be good for Club Mahindra.
