[Resolved]  Defence Pension — Non receipt of revised pension

Sir,
I am a lt col (Retired) from army on 12 june 1991. My pension account is with sbi, virbhadra, idpl, rishikesh, vide account number [protected]. Recently, in may 2009, cda (Pensions) allahabad have issued instructions to all banks to give revised pension to lt col ( as per pay band 4 and have also included tables for the grant of basic pay. I talked to sri b k upreti ( of sbi chandani chowk, delhi, phone number [protected] ) who says that the circular has been put on the web site and now it is the responsibility of the concerned branch to make out arrears and give pension. When i talked to the branch, they say that all arrears and revised pension would be issued by sbi chandani chowk, delhi. Sbi is such a good organisation. I know 6th pay commission award has been confusing and has put too much extra work for the banks. Cda (Pensions ) should have issued revised ppo (Pension payable order). Sbi should send hard copy of the said circular to all branches mentioning that the branch should initiate action.
I am sorry to inform you, sir, that we, retired lt. Col have been awaiting this award and sooner or later, i may leave this world without getting my arrears.
Would you, kindly sir, take action for award of revised pension as per pay band 4 to retired lt. Col ?
Regards,
Lt. Col ( retired ) s n saxena

Sir,
In the context of VI CPC, it is clear that Govt. has failed to do his duty for the Ex defence personnel who has served for the country. It is very common practice in India that people forget everything after promise. We are pensioner and government should look after us prior to those who serving, because they are drawing their payment whereas we as a pensioner eagerly looking for the 1st of every month and standing in a long queue in the bank to get their poor payment. After declaration of VI CPC we the pensioner were very happy that at last we are going to get some handsome pension but it is very unfortunate that we did not got anything so far whereas the people who are serving they have got their full arrears before festive season. Dont they realise that to pull-on in this economy (prices of everything increased & beyond our purchasing capability) it is very hard to live with poor pension? My son is doing B-Tech (3rd semester) and I am not in a position to pay the fees at present. Borrowed money from friends and paid the installment in hope that I am going to get VI CPC Arrears and will pay back soon the amount which I borrowed from my friend. Alas! I was dreaming in day time.
God bless all those who are delaying to pay the arrears to the Ex defence personnel who are in genuine need of money.
Sir, I am Ex CPO (AOF), No. 203672-T retiered from Indian Navy on 31 Aug. 1992 and presently drawing my pension from SBI Nawabganj, Gonda, UP.
1. This is in kind reference to my Record Office Bureau of sailors letter no. DP/S/Boys/203672 dated 22Aug. 2008 addressed to State Bank of India, Opp. Gandhi Park, Gonda (UP) with a copy to undersigned for revision of Deffence Service Pension for which the revised PPO already issued to the bank.
2. The enclosed Corrigendum PPO bearing No.Corr/09/97/B/S/00451/08 dated 18 Aug. 08 was received by the said bank and also further forwarded to the Branch Manager, SBI, Nawabganj, Gonda (UP). When approached to the branch manager Nawabganj he said now we are not doing any thing on Defense Pension (every thing is transferred to Allahabad) hence your letter also send to pension cell Allahabad for necessary action and till today every thing is pending.
3. May I kindly request at your end to ask this letter again from said bank if not received by your office. CDA Allahabad also issued instructions to concern bank for sending revised PPO and the letter to your office. Your kind needful action may facilitate me to get my arrears paid.

Sir,

I am Sub Kundan Singh Rawat got retirement on 31 Jan 2009. I would like to submitt the following disparity in terms of pension commutation, DCRG, and monthly Basic Pension.

1. Commutation table has been revised based on 8.5% of interest rate which is a great injustice to the pers got retirement on of after 1 Sep 2008 and even those who are still in service. Pension commutation table has even not revised during the period when interest rates were very high.

2. Waitage for claculating of DCRG (10 years for Sep, 8 Year for Nk, 6 Year for Hav and 5 Year for JCO) has now been set aside. this step is also not fair.

3. Prior 1 Jan 2006 basic pension was calculted on higher band of basic pay i.e. pay band of Sub was[protected] hence his basic pension was Rs 4660 which as fifty percent of higher band e.g 9300/-

4. Government's assent on One rank one pension and 70% of basic pension were only election compaigning elements and were live only upto to assembly of 5 state assembly elections were over.

Thanks & Regards

Kundan Singh Rawat

Dear Sir,
Sub: HARASSMENT TO THE PENSIONER BY THE DPDO FOR PAST ONE YEAR
Ref:
a) DPDO Vellore letter No. Ref. DPDO/VLR/TS – 37266/IOB Andiappanur dated 3/2/09, 8/5/09, 11/6/09 and 25/8/09.
b) EME Record letter No Ref.JC110266P/SP – 1/P or dated 25/5/09 and 13/7/09.
c) CDA Allahabad letterRef No. AT/DPDO/III/VLR?09 dated 16/04/09, 31/7/09 and 14/9/09.
I approached as per my application dated 25/05/09 to Director of Pension, Grievance Cell Pension, New Delhi, Copy to CDA Chennai, Copy to CDA Allahabad quoting my grievances,
Where I updated Authentic order of CDA PPONO
For Hony Lt. S/108788/87 dated – PPO
For Hony Capt S/R/29031/1988 dated 23/2/89 – PPO
Revised PPONO S/R/MODP?007213?2003 issued for Hony Capt Pension from my retirement in 1987 to Dec 2008, where as CPC, I was degraded by DPDO Vellore as Hony Lt and paid the arrears for Hony Lt.. When I approached the DPDO Vellore many times in person, they are not listening to my case. After 22 years, I was enjoying my Hony Capt pension. After so many time persionally visited and given copy letter to the concerned person still I am unable to get the Hony Capt pension till date.

DPDO Vellore I approached these concerned persons, Mr. Natarajan, and Smt. Vijayalakshmi for above mentioned pension issue, which gone under veins. As I am old and under gone back bone operation, travelling personally to DPDO is very difficult, still I visited on this matter 6 times.
As a pensioner who was a part of two crucial wars for proud India and as a senior citizen who served Indian defence for 30 years does not deserve this kind of treatment from either of above said people nor from India and Indian defence.
Hence I request you to let me know whom I should approach for my dignified pension. This case is simple and does not require fresh sanctions to pass my pension as a Hony Capt, as DPDO Vellore claims.
Pleases let me know whom to approach after so many correspondence, Human Resources or RTI or Consumer court for pending issue of my pension .
My humble request to you, kindly look into the matter with great concern, for speedy release of my rigthful and dignified pension.

Thanking you.
