[Resolved]  Dell — poor services

Dear Sir
I am totally disappointed with Dell and its services. It has been more than a week i have lodged my complain and till date my laptop is in the same state and no action has been taken. Now also, they are asking me for few more days to deliver the parts and provide me services. What about Dell's claim of providing next day technical support at doorstep.
I paid INR 9000 to get warranty and this is the kind of support I get.
In the past, the technician who provided me services broke my laptop lock, and did not even have the technical expertise to open/close the laptop. He tried to charge me money under the table and this is the kind of honesty dell employee displays. At Dell service station, I get my system OS loaded which is pirated(Pirated windows 7). What is Dell up to? Are they trying to just get money by providing poor quality parts so that they they can earn money via services? Is this there strategy in India?
Dell a week back delivered a mother board which was not working? This is what Dell supplies when they provides services? NON WORKING PARTS..

I want my money to be refunded and also compensation for all the time and energy I have wasted. Dell has harassed me enough.

DELL — Substandard Systems!

I spoke to a rep in technical support --Delhi --(Destop, Inspiron, Tag: 2B144BS) by the name of Indu Chauhan who released the call from her end while talking to me. I called up immediatley on the number[protected] at 18:02 to realize that it was past working hours.That is when I realized why the agent had a very hostile and intimidating tone. She was clearly irritated about taking a call which came at the end of her shift.

I had made the call at around 17:55 she released the call at around 18:02 hours while I was rebooting the system as per her instructions.


I had called today (Thursday, 07 January 2010) for assitance on a Dell Inspiron that I had bought a few months before. The system tag is: 2B144BS. The system's fan makes a lot of noise, to the extent that I dont feel like working on this system anymore. I regret the fact that I bought a Dell, I regret it deeply.

A brief summary:

My friend and I bought the same computers (Dell Inspirons Tag No: 2BI44BS & 58344BS) at the same time. Both o[censored]s had problems with the sound recorder, it was not capturing any input from the microphone, which was diagnosed as a problem with the sound card. Sine the soundcard is integrated to the motherboard in this model, the motherboard was replaced for both the systems.

My computer can capture voice now, but only when I speak into the microphone with a loud voice. My friends computer continues to have the same problem despite the motherboard being replaced.

If one system was bad we would have know that it could have been an error. Here, we have a pattern. It looks like Dell has something about manufacturing substandard systems without proper Quality Check for Asian Markets.

I dont expect anything from Dell because I have lost trust in this company. The least that I can do is passionately and aggresively speak to people, within my circle of influence, inorder to deter them from purchasing these computers anymore.

DELL — Poor Experience with Dell

I had booked two Dell Inspiron machines 580 on 22nd May 2010 and the entire payment was made instantly. I was promised delivery of both systems in 7-10 days. The system was not delivered till 5th June 2010 and when it was delivered it turned out to be nightmare as the brand new Dell factory sealed system did not worked for a moment.

Dell offered me to change the parts and only upon my refusal the Dell agreed to replace the system. The systemwas collected and till date i.e 28th June 2010 i.e 36 days have passed In have not received the system except the false promises from Dell.

As regards another system I had cancelled the order for both the systems but it was brought to my office on 10th June 2010 and on the assurances of Dell I accepted the same.

The installation person refuses to give any detail except installation of the system.
I will definitely take the matter to consumer court for definceincy of service and also for substandard product.


Never take Dell products.

I got really frustrated by the poor services and manufacturing of the product I got from the Company Dell. On 20th April, 2011 my laptop's motherboard has been replaced with the new one alongwith 4 other parts, and I got the faulty motherboard and now they are saying that they are going to replace the motherboard again. I bought the laptop in february last year and now only one year has been passed and almost every part of laptop has been replaced atleast once, only motherboard has been replaced 5 times. This is really very-very bad manufacturing and is really not acceptable from such a big and esteemed company. So, I hope that I will get some help from here and I will feel that the money I spent is worth.
