Easycabs — Negligent and irresponsible driving.

I travel daily between Seven Bungalows, Andheri West (Home) and Nirlon Knowledge Park, Goregaon East (WorkPlace).

Today at around 2 p.m., While on my way to work, I was driving in the third lane (Right Most), doing a decent 50 - 60 km/hr on the western express highway. Near the start of the JVLR flyover I could see that there was a fully loaded truck and an EasyCabs car behind it. Now because the Truck was loaded beyond capacity it was struggling to go up the incline and had slowed down considerably. To avoid travelling behind the slow moving truck the EasyCab Driver (details given below) without any regard to other moving traffic on the road, recklessly took a right turn and just put his car in the third lane , right in front of me. He did not even bother to see if there was any vehicle coming from behind as the last lane is a high speed lane. I had to completely ground my brakes, my car screeched for a good 10 -15 feet, making a loud screeching sound and with gods grace did not skid right or left and came to a halt just a feet away from the cab. Fortunately there was no car coming right behind me, otherwise it would have lead to a deadly pile up of cars.

I was saved by my presence of mind and by gods grace that my car didn't skid out of control. Otherwise I would not have made it to office today.
