[Resolved]  Elica — Glass top of hob not replaced

I own an Elica hob with glass top and a chimney since 1 year. Last month the glass top of the hob was broken. I raised a complaint on 24th July, 2013 on Elica India website. I got a call from them and I discussed with them the possibility of replacing the glass. I was told that it would be chargeable. After some thoughts I agreed to pay Elica for the glass replacement. I called up the Bangalore Elica Service to get the glass replaced. I was told that it will be replaced in 5 days. And since then it has been almost 1 and half month, the glass is not replaced. 1. I call once every week to Bangalore Service Center. I am told that it would be replaced in 4-5 days and I would get a call back. I never get that call. When I call them again, the story repeats. 2. After almost a month, I was convinced that Bangalore Service Center has no autority and are completely dependent on the Pune Service center to send them the materials. So, I called the Pune Customer Care, where I was assured that "enough is enough" now, and it will be replaced for sure. I also spoke to Head of Bangalore Service Center. Now all of them combined told me, the glass has already been dispatched and is under transit and I would get a call in 2-3 days. I never get that call. When I call them again, the same story continues. 3. I get a call every week from a customer care personnel from Pune, who asks me if the complaint has been resolved. Upon telling that it has not been, she tells me that she will follow up and get back. She never does, until another lady calls me asking the same question. The same conversation continues. Fed up, I write this complaint. There is absolute lack of professionalism. The division for "after sales service" is only for namesake.

This was a very bad experience for me. The complaint was resolved only after I posted the complaint here. So, elica, you need to beef up your service. I am definitely not buying elica again not am I recommending it to my family and friends.

This was a very bad experience for me. The complaint was resolved only after I posted the complaint here. So, elica, you need to bee[censored]p your service. I am definitely not buying elica again not am I recommending it to my family and friends.
