[Resolved]  Gati — Delay in Delivery plus goods damage

I moved my Desktop PC from Kharagpur, West Bengal to Gurgaon Haryana using GATI. It was sent on 27 July 2011 from Kharagpur and I was assured that it would be delivered to me on or before 3rd august 2011. But, I didn't get it on the assured date. Also I was not being informed the reason of delay and when I inquired about it on 3rd July, your customer care executive assured me that it would be delivered to me on 4th of August for sure. Then too I didn't get the package and again no information from your side for the reason of delay. Again I called up and again same thing. And finally I got it on 6th of August when I called them again on 6th August.

So this is the reason you people are charging so much money for moving goods. With this kind of service and irresponsibility you people call your organization GATI. Also there is no proper complaint system. I told the delivery guy that I want to write a complaint against you so give me some official complaint register of yours. He straight away refused that he doesn't have any complaint register and all. He said "Aap complaint karte rehna, hume to sign karke de do taaki hum log jaaye". These are the words of your staff.

This is just one thing. Another thing is my desktop was packed very well within their proper cartons. So, when I received the package I saw it was fine from outside. So I signed the delivery bill. Then when I opened the boxes my CPU body was damaged. It is not working now. You people are simply frauds. I mean you can't deliver a PC properly. If you are incapable of doing it then you people should not make false claims to the people and charge so high. I mean what is the difference between you and Indian Railways. If I would have used Indian Railways, then too I had to make sure whether my package has arrived or not and there was a high probability that my luggage would be damaged. Same thing happened in your case. At least they don't charge so high for their poor service and don't make these false promises on the damaging of luggage.

It can't be just one in a 1000 case. Because in May 2011 I moved my trunk and bag from Kharagpur to Kota using GATI. In that case too my trunk got heavily damaged. But that time I thought it could have been those 1 out of 1000 case and also trunk was not that costly. But this time my CPU is damaged and all this is your fault.

These are my only two experiences with GATI, and if you people are sane enough then you can understand what you people are doing.

Now, I want my full money refund which GATI took for moving my Desktop plus monetary compensation for the inconvenience caused to me and a proper apology letter for your poor service. If I don't get any fast action on my complaint I would take this matter to consumer court for sure and publish this complaint to every online complaint forums and social media. And two suggestions from my side for your company:
1. Change your name from GATI to "SHATI" meaning Damage.
2. And if you want to rob people then go and rob some bank, so that at least people can trust you that you are doing what you are claiming.

I mailed this letter to GATI on 6th of July. From then on I have sent them around 6-7 emails. They have just acknowledged my mail but they haven't made any progress on my resolution of my complaint. Now it's been 1 month and my computer is still not working.

gati couriers — delivered damaged computer system

sir!
i sent my computer system to my hometown patna from my study place cochi.they delivered it in demaged condition.they assured me that they will pay compensation for that, but 3 months have passed and they didn't take any action.plz take some action against the company.

they should give stringent punishment and much cancelled their registration.we are not accepted such irresponsility service in our country
Even after the complaint they didn't take any responsibility. They simply told me that they would refund my freight charges. But even after almost 8 months, I haven't received any such thing. Ridiculous service.

GATI SUCKS!!!
