Hi,

This is with reference to the credit card [protected]. I am Pavan Kumar Reddy work for Oracle and having a HDFC corporate savings account and holding a credit card of same bank and the details stated before.

I have done a settlement for the same card in 2008 for the amount of Rs 79,700 - with Rs 11,000 - cash payment and five EMI installments for the amount of Rs 13,740 - each. I have paid the first two EMI's by date for the same EMI amount and later due to some personal, family and financial issues i was not able to pay the later EMI's fully but did some partial payments.

Also, lack of knowledge that the agent had and the improper follow-up from the customer and not guiding properly with the partial amounts put me in lot of problems and tremendous pressure. I even had a talk with the one of the HDFC credit card department managers from the same branch where the agent was collecting the money and he said there were no issues with partial amount payments and late payments. I have done the complete payment of Rs 79,700- as committed but with little late payments.

Suddenly, after 2/3 months of the payments done there was a salary amount around Rs 30,000 - has been blocked from my salary account and the same has been deducted towards the credit card payment. Later again Rs. 12000/- has been blocked and deducted. This was really shocked me without any notice or any call before or later the amount block and deduction. After this stunning incident i spoke to the credit card department and had found that the out standing amount still remain on my card was around Rs 60,000 - and not sure either this amount outstanding was after my salary deduction or before.

I have asked atleast to provide me a closure letter after my salary deduction and did not get any proper response from either from the customer care or any agent or even from one of the managers from concerned department. Later I left to USA on business trip for almost one year and have not seen any actions taken on my account or no one called me up regarding the same in the mean time. I have been back from USA recently and suddenly i see a amount block for Rs 6,333 - last month and complete salary block for Rs 50,400 - on 31st Dec. I have worked hard with night shifts for couple of months and had that amount credited into my account and had so many commitments for which i desperately these amounts. But unfortunately i see zero balance in my account and felt really unconscious at that moment.

I really do not understand what is happening with the concern department and not sure why no one called up regarding the same before or after the block happened. I am not using the card since very long before I done the first settlement. I think i should have paid more than what I have used on the card and still the people are behind me and not sure how to settle this.

I need the immediate action to be taken from the higher officials on this and see why the salary has been blocked and deducted from my salary account. I think the outstanding amount showing on my card is just an accumulated interest and late fees nothing more.

Please do the needful in getting my salary back immediately and have a look at my account and take some serious action. I am ready to settle it with some discussions with higher officials and will settle it without fail. Please do make sure to get my salary back and talk to me in person or phone from Zonal office regarding the same to settle it with proper action.

Hope I can get the positive response and will expect immediate action ASAP.

Below is the complaint I am posting here after no proper response from HDFC Cr Card Department

Hi,

After writing the above mail to the HDFC nodal officers, I got a reply from Asst. Vice President, Service Quality Dept stating that I need to call one of the HDFC bank officer for further settlement.

When I called that bank officer, I did not get positive response on the settlement. She blindly asking for full payment which is outstanding amount showing on my card (around Rs.67, 000). I think this is just an accumulated interest and late fees nothing more.

If this is the case why I need to call them, I can directly go to the bank and pay the outstanding amount and get NOC. Why I need to need to write a mail and requesting for settlement.

I think the bank doesn't want to solve the problem and linger it for 15 days so that they get an excuse to debit the whole amount from my saving account.

Here I am expecting better settlement as I already paid the settlement amount and I think i should have paid more than what I have used on the card including interests and late fees.

I already paid the initial settlement amount - Rs.79, 700
Later Credit Card dept. has deducted Rs. 30, 000 from my salary account.
Again they have deducted Rs. 12, 000 from my salary account.
Now again Rs. 56, 633 has been kept on hold.

Please guide me how to settle this issue ASAP.

I even posted this complaint to the mail id "[protected]@hdfcbank.com", but still no response.

Credit Card — after deducting amount from my saving account the card is blocked

Dear Sir/madam,

I Mr. V.Ravi Babu Holding a credit card of your bank bearing no:[protected]. From last six months I was not getting the statement. Eventhough informed of change of address. But suddenly my saving account as been debited for an amount of Rs.21,033.18 /- but now also my card is not activated. can I know the result of this and can my card be activated immediately.
kindly confirm the detais as early as possible.

HDFC Credit Card — With hold of my account

Dear Sir/madam
I had a credit card whose no is [protected].Today i.e on 30th of September when i tried to withdraw cash from my HDFC debit card no[protected], to my surprise my money was on hold.Never ever any of your employee tried to contact me.suddenly this account's money was in hold.I am in utter despair.Whenever i tried to contact ur offices at kolkata and bangalore, none o[censored]r customer care representatives were in a position to tell me the reason of my withheld money.Moreover the credit card that was given to me was by force.If such things happen I will be forced to withdraw my account from ur bank. and also will go for legal actions.Please look into this matter.

Called to cust's care regarding card no.[protected].

As per my concall with the cust care ext. that they are not able to get the infomation regarding the above mention card of your bank. I am in roaming regarding my due date and dur amt if any, but the person not able to assist me.
Kindly revert on the same and if there is any Late payment charges revert them.

HDFC Credit card - Hold off my account — Hold of my account

I have a HDFC savings account and a credit card. I was out off country for 2 months due to which i wasnot able to pay the credit card dues. I returned back and since i have an ECS loan in my savings account, I deposited the cash into my account. They holded the cash due to the card dues and now the ECS has got bounced. I contacted the card guys and they assured me for a call back from the concerned department. I waited for 1 full day in vain. The next day i again contacted them but they kept me transfering to different department without a proper response. Still i waiting for response. The loan guys in other side are screwing me for the loan due. Since my cash has got blocked into my account, i am in way to be helped. But the creditcard guys doesnt understand the importance of a loan against credit card. If the issue continues withoout any reponse, i am going to ask them close off my account & take legal action against them for doing so.

HDFC Credit Card — Hold my Account

I have a Credit card of HDFC Bank and also a HDFC Account in Sec-18 Branch Noida.last 2 Month I was not able to Pay my credit card Payments.My company transfer my salary in this Account.one day when I went to withdrawl the Amount in the ATM my account Balance shows 0.00 Amount. I was Surprised how it is Possible that My Amout shows 0.00 Balance. Next day HDFC Credit card member call me That We have Hold ur all Amount o[censored]r Debit Account.and ur Amount will Transfer in Our account with in 15 Days.u can deposit but can not withdrawl
So Plz suggest me, May I Make any Legal Action Against the Branch Manager Because of That He Permit him to Hold the Account.

Credit Card — Wrong bill of 60,000 after blocking card

Hi,
This is sugandha dhar, working with icici direct.
To my surprise, yesterday i received a mail from icici card divisin stating that i have an outstanding balance of 60, 000/-
Two years back when i lost the card, i called up the call centre and blocked it on time.
After that there was no communication from their side from past two years.No mails, no statements, no calls.
Even i didnt bother as i knew that the card was blocked and i had nothing to wory about.
Now suddenly they have come out with my outstanind of 60, 000/- which is insane.
That means they didnt block the card, and it was misused.
As i can guess, their system must have been down or slow or hanged as usual.But the point is, is this the customers problem or fault??Why for no fault of theirs, the csustomers will always suffer?
Kindly look into the matter and help me.

HDFC credit card settlement — Holding funds from my saving Accounts

Dear sir

i have got a credit card from this bank. I have gone for a settlement for an amount of Rs. 32000/ to be paid in five installement. I have already paid four installment and only installment is left which i was planning to pay this month. The bank has put on hold around Rs 42000/ from my saving bank account which is in the same bank. Please help me in releasing the same from the bank. i have never been given any intimation or call for the above. I am in a great financial crisis . please advice me further course of action.

I did a call from a lady from your customer care, but i think she was not at all aware of the problem. After my explanation, she accepted that bank is holding my Rs 42000/, and she said that it will debitted from my a/c after 15 days. when i repeatedly asked that that bank can't do that without informing and please let me know if i pay my last installement, then i think the problem is solved, she immediately cut the phone and never called me again.

I think the bank doesn't want to solve the problem and linger it for 15 days so that they get an excuse to debit the whole amount from my saving account.

I would have been informed beforehand of the whole situation by mail/phone. It is rediculous and unethical from the part of the bank.

I would like to inform u that if the bank still goes with this drama. I will closing my saving a/c from your bank. And fifteen of my friends and relatives will also be closing their a/c with Your bank in protest.
Further more please do confirms with your E.O.K Branch New Delhi that i was going for A Huge FD with your bank, which i am now in double mind.

And finally about your advice about disclosing sensitive information about my bank a/cs and misuse of it,
I am afraid that it is u who can misuse my a/c and no body else, and u have done it. So if the bank really care for me then unhold my funds from my a/.c, contact me take ur last and final installment and that's it. the problem is solved.

Please contact me at the earliest and please advice how to give your payments.

Thanks for late reply. By the time you have replied for the above complaint, my whole amount (56, 700) has been deducted which was on hold from my salary account. Still Credit card dept. people asking me to pay around Rs.11, 000.

I contacted Bank directly (Rajeswari Jayasekar, Asst. Vice President, Service Quality - Credit Cards) and they are not even considering my request for better settlement as this overdue which was not paid is not intentional. As a mistake of bank agents and bank officers my life has become miserable. I agree there is a oversight from my side as I did not read the terms and conditions. Even though the amount which I already paid towards the credit card is too high and still the bank is charging the excess amount.

Finally I am requesting the bank at-least waive off the remaining outstanding amount on my card account Rs.10, 904.46 and provide me the No-Due letter.

FYI... I am using HDFC account from past 6 years as a savings account and I have cleared my two-wheeler loan and personal loan on time with out any dues. Now I am having car loan which I am paying correctly. Bank is behaving like this to a privileged customer like me, imagine if this happens to normal customer how they will be behaving.

I have already sent mail to [protected]@hdfcbank.com 2 weeks back itself. But till now I did not get any response. I will send again with the above ref id TTU[protected].

Help me at least to waive off the remaining outstanding amount on my card account and provide me the No-Due letter.
