[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — Deduction of Charges

I have a corporate salary account with HDFC bank, when i was working with Tata Aig Life Insurance Co. as Businees Manager. I left the job in July,2008 and thereafter my salary is not being transfered into my salary account. My account was operating as a Salary account even after that for more than one and a half year. Then HDFC bank has started deducting Non-Maintenance Charges of Average Quarterly Balance in my account. They didn't inform me about maintaining the minimum balance in the account to avoid the charges, they even not informed me about the conversion of my Salary Account to Savings Account. As i was in the impression of my account to be continued as a Salary account only, i didn't maintain the minimum balance. When i come to know about the AQB charges for the first time, i asked them to rebate the amount as if my account was operating as a Salary Account. But they have not done it. Moreover whenever i have asked them to close my account, they were asking for the charges to close the account. They have almost charged approx Rs.6000 against non maintenance charges in the last one and a half year from my account. Whenever there is any fund gets credit in that account from any sources, they just debit my account against AQB charges. I would like to have refund of all my funds which is charged by the bank.
