[Resolved]  HP Service Center At Coimbatore — Very poor after warranty Service of HP Authorised Service Center at Coimbatore

Dear Sir/Madam,

Myself Prabhat Kumar Bhakat, very old customer/consumer of HP Company and its services. I have bought a HP Compaq Laptop 2 years back. The details are given below:

Model No= V4118AP
Serial No= 2CE5360FKP
P/n= EH025PA#UUF

In the warranty period there was a problem with my Hard Disk and Speaker and that I have got corrected at Gurgaon.
Since last 6 months I was facing problem related to sudden auto-power switch off. When I used to work on it , then suddenly my Laptop used to get switch off, without shutting down or without restart. Initially I though the problem might be because of Viruses so I un-installed Windows XP and formatted all the drive.
The problem was very serious when I was trying to Re-Install Windows Xp again, the power was getting off in between the installation, so I did not neither able to install XP not I could work on that. So I decided to go to HP Authorized Service Centre at Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. In HP website I have found that the following service center is authorized for all HP product.

So I went to Maha Electronics Pvt Ltd on[protected] at 2.30 PM and reported my problem. They told that the Laptop was not under warranty so I need to pay Rs. 500/- for checking the Laptop and after that they will tell me what is the problem.

However I agreed and told them about the problem, after that they told me to wait and after 2 hours they told that it was a Mother Board problem and I have to replace the part, which will cost approx Rs. 20,000/-. I asked them about the details that they have checked in my Laptop, they just gave me silly reason. I was sure that they have not even opened my laptop and just giving solution to the problem without finding Root Cause.

After that I repeatedly requested them to open the Laptop and try to find the actual Root Cause and kept my Laptop with them. Then after repetitive follow-up again I went to them on[protected] and asked what was the Root Cause. Their service engineer (Mr. Mutthu) was so stupid that he gave me again some silly reason behind the problem and again told me that I have to replace the Mother Board (not even repair?). he excused me that he has checked all the parts after opening Laptop, and the problem could be only with Mother Board.

I was so upset with them and with their behavior, that I decided to take my Laptop with servicing I paid them Rs. 500/- as their service charge (so call expert’s service charge). Then I asked for a proper report where they have to indicate that the problem is coming due to Mother Board. They were first reluctant to give me such report but finally boldly they have reported that that the Laptop need to replace Motherboard.

I was quite upset and I tried to find the problem in Internet and as well as HP service support websites. I found that frequent power off problem may come due to over-heating, and there is a Heat Sink and Fan inside the Laptop, which dissipate the heat. If get jammed by dust and dirt then the safety device of laptop cuts the power so that it should not get damaged by over-heating.

I opened my laptop and seen that there are lot of dust over the heat sink and it is loosely connected to motherboard then I realized that for these reason laptop was getting over heated. I solved my problem and my laptop is working OK.

But why I am writing these big letter to you because I feel as a customer I can reach to you and tell the problem which general customer like me are being looted by so called HP authorized service centers.
The points, which I was to highlight, are as follows:

1) Does HP authorized service centers like Maha Electronics Pvt Ltd have a expert technical team?
2) Why they do not entertain the customers who are not under warranty?
3) Why these people has taken Rs. 500/- charge from me and had not given any solution?
4) Without thinking what could be the problem, they just told to replace motherboard of Rs. 20,000.00, by which they can at least earn some money. So don’t you think that they are looting general public like us , who has full faith on HP technical team?
So at last I want to tell HP that it should not spoil their brand name giving authorized service center stamp to the company like Maha Electronics Pvt Ltd.

hp Latop — bad service

sir,
I'm not satisfied with the service of hp service centre Dhanbad, that of because i have given my hp dv6767tx Laptop adaptor on 19th of jan 2009 & i didin't recived my adaptor till date 03 feb 2009. It is more than two weeks i m suffering from this problem & suffering heavy loss in my business. The behaviour of the service centre worker at dhanbad is very bad. I will sujest my friends to not buy any hp products.
I had also send this copy to hp & the e-mail id is (in.[protected]@hp.com) & one copy to
CEO of hp company but i didn't get any type of response.
sir please take some needfull steps regarding this problem & will be thankfull to you.

hp services should must increase their performance regarding this situation.
i have give my lap for service, its with in warranty period .they have taken more than 20 days besides before service if i switch on my lap hp logo will appear on the screen, now its showing compaq logo, , i am afraid they have changed my hard disc.. and i am not provided with any bill after service, , , please do consider my complaint..
I have purchased one HP Compaq, Presario V3225 Notebook, having Sr. No.2CE720304F, P/N RY301PA in June 2007 from their Lucknow Dealer. For one year there was no problem. Immediately after that the Notebook started giving trouble. I approached their Service Centre at Ernakulam, who rectfied the problem. Again after a lapse of about one month, the same problem occured. I approached them again and they were kind enough to rectify the problem. Now, hardly after one month lapsed, similar problem occured and now the set is at Durgapur. With the frequent troubles, I doubt its reliability and why it is happending so frequently. There may be some design fault and to whom I should contact for its recification. Pls advise someone.

Laptop repair is a big SCAM. I am in Calicut, India. My laptop is Compac Presario. One and a half years back, the screen suddenly went blank. I went to the seller, who told me that the Screen liquid has leaked and must be replaced at Rs. 11, 000/-. I took back the laptop and called a firm by name Exotica in Cochin, who had advertised in this regard. They said that the repair charge could range between Rs. 250 to 750/- I sent it to them by Courier. After receiving the same, they first told me that the repair charge would come to Rs. 1500/- after three days they told me that the repair charge would come to Rs. 6500/-. It up set me and I went to Cochin.
When I reached Exotica, I found it to be a small place, with one or two servicemen. Nothing great. The laptop was not with them. They said they had given to another place, called Tuscana. I said that I wanted it back. Immediately they called Tuscana, who said that they had opened it and to repack the immense items inside would cost Rs. 500/-.
I then went to Tuscana, where I found more or less un-educated type of women running the show. The Proprietress who talked to me on phone in English, never showed her face.
Since I thought that they might do some dirty tricks on the instrument if I took it back, I told them to repair it at the rate they mentioned. Later I went to Cochin and paid the money and took back the machine. The next day, I found that the power switch was not functioning properly. Then I found the audio and other switches not connected at all.
Then came the next shock. At certain positions, the screen would go blank and display white and blue lines.
I dared not said the machine to Cochin again. Now, when I go around asking the rate for fixing the problem over here, the miniumum charge is always around 1500 to 2000 and that too, they can confirm only after opening the laptop.
Why does HP not have they own service centers in India? Why should their customers be made to be at the mercy of low standard crooks?

See, this is how u can get it done smartly, first diagnose the exact problem, try to find any solutions thru online support or by live chat with experts (hp call center), if it is really a software issue u can really fix that up with the help of those online support but if your hardware really needs a surgery (need to open up) then talk to the experts and get the authorized HP contact center address especially in the big metro cities (Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, etc...) which ever is near to u and don send the laptop thru courier, u directly go there, look up the environment, u need to really identify tat pupil working there are really experts n u have to interact with then and ask them to diagnose the issue on the spot and if it really serious then give time for them to fix it, but proper interactions and proper tracking is reqd, it is advisable to note all the accessories(DVD drive, hard drive, ram, battery etc..) serial No's and then get the report card and use this for cross verification while taking the goods back..
I went to HP authorised service center (REDINGTON INDIA LTD, GUWAHATI) after warrenty to repair my HP Pavillion DV2000 laptop .
These service centre people returned my laptop without repair and said they are too busy so cant do .
When i returned home i find they changed my RAM . i was using 1 GB RAM but the service engineer stolen my RAM and given me 512 MB RAM .
They refused to accept that they had taken it .
HP authorised service center "REDINGTON IND LTD " made me frustration. now my Laptop is too slow not working properly . i am helpless ..
HP is not even bothering.

here in hot chennai Maha electronics ( peters rd branch)also
they simply cheating
all they need is target
i had the problem of right key in touch pad
i got the following problems
my adaptor(charger) is changed to old one
it caused my laptop battery to cause fail ( i.e to replace condition in one month)
left click in the touchpad started to sucks
keypad are not fixed properly


totally its contain a waste service centre for HP
just they are doing repair( i.e causing repair to laptops)
try to avoid this service centre for service
i purchase laptop last year in april from till date i can not get sound drivers for windows xp & i have no company sevice center ph.no., not proper responce from your delar So pl help
i too went with a problem in my screen they said like we ll order the component and ll be informed soon, as i am having warranty period i thought it ll get replaced by the company and came back. when i went to collect the lap i was shocked finding that my 1 GB RAM has been stolen, when i told like i ll inform to higher officials they asked me to wait for another two days that they ll replace the RAM, THEY HAD NOT Replaced the screen, instead they told that they changed some components.

i would say that they r not fit to service and when my lap is not returned properly i would go for further actions...
Iam purchasing hp colour laser jet 5500 last 3yers back in Ask Informatik, Hanamkonda. Andhrapradesh.
he is not supporting & not service this printer.Iam very suffering & not using this printer last 2years.
(total meter reding is just 2900copies). next Iam purchasing & using xerox 7228 colour laser copier.

HP customer care totally sucks!
I bought a wireless mouse only from them. It stopped working with in 2 weeks of the day of purchase.
I went to a service center near by with the dead mouse. and they said they won't take mice!
To get service for a mouse that I bought for 1000rs, I have to take a day off from company and need to drive 25+ kms in bangalore. And it is not guaranteed that I will get back the mouse serviced with in that day or another. I may not get it repaired at all if something is broken inside the mouse. They gonna say I broke it.
I registered a complaint online and got a call back from customer care after 13-15 days!!
Even that guy was not ready to listen the problems properly.. He asked me if I am using the mouse with a desktop or laptop. I told its laptop. Then he told me another guy will call me if its laptop and hungup the call.. never got a call back after that from HP..

if you are thinking f buying an HP product.. please rethink. you gonna jump into trouble.


-- by the way, I happened to meet a guy working in HP customercare. He told me the way that they have been told to respond to the customers. Can you believe it, whatever the problem you will report they will ask you to reinstall the drivers first. even after they understood that its an hardware issue actually. if that doesn't work, they will ak you to reinstall the OS itself. Can't you believe it? try calling their customer care once.

HP — Very poor Service

I had submitted my laptop to the HP under warranty in november for getting my LCD repaired. They got it changed and send me my laptop after 1 month. When i recieved it they got my LCD changed but they replaced it with a used LCD & not with a new one. Secondly they broke my power strip. I told them to replace it they now replace it in June and now i visited their service center to collect my laptop on 5th june, i forget my complaint record at home so they did not gave me my laptop as i did not have that complaint with me. I said that's my fault so no problem with that, you do one thing just show me my laptop & you can take my identity proof for your verification and then you courier it.
they did not allow me and now i recieved my laptop on 6th june now its LCD's panel is broken.

I am not understanding why these guys did not understand the value of time of others. Their staff is pathetic, they don't know how to talk to their customers. I think a step should be taken against these type of companies, so they understand the importance of customers.

Personally i will try to let as many people know about all these kind of companies.
