[Resolved]  HP Service Center At Coimbatore — Very poor after warranty Service of HP Authorised Service Center at Coimbatore

Dear Sir/Madam,

Myself Prabhat Kumar Bhakat, very old customer/consumer of HP Company and its services. I have bought a HP Compaq Laptop 2 years back. The details are given below:

Model No= V4118AP
Serial No= 2CE5360FKP
P/n= EH025PA#UUF

In the warranty period there was a problem with my Hard Disk and Speaker and that I have got corrected at Gurgaon.
Since last 6 months I was facing problem related to sudden auto-power switch off. When I used to work on it , then suddenly my Laptop used to get switch off, without shutting down or without restart. Initially I though the problem might be because of Viruses so I un-installed Windows XP and formatted all the drive.
The problem was very serious when I was trying to Re-Install Windows Xp again, the power was getting off in between the installation, so I did not neither able to install XP not I could work on that. So I decided to go to HP Authorized Service Centre at Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. In HP website I have found that the following service center is authorized for all HP product.

So I went to Maha Electronics Pvt Ltd on[protected] at 2.30 PM and reported my problem. They told that the Laptop was not under warranty so I need to pay Rs. 500/- for checking the Laptop and after that they will tell me what is the problem.

However I agreed and told them about the problem, after that they told me to wait and after 2 hours they told that it was a Mother Board problem and I have to replace the part, which will cost approx Rs. 20,000/-. I asked them about the details that they have checked in my Laptop, they just gave me silly reason. I was sure that they have not even opened my laptop and just giving solution to the problem without finding Root Cause.

After that I repeatedly requested them to open the Laptop and try to find the actual Root Cause and kept my Laptop with them. Then after repetitive follow-up again I went to them on[protected] and asked what was the Root Cause. Their service engineer (Mr. Mutthu) was so stupid that he gave me again some silly reason behind the problem and again told me that I have to replace the Mother Board (not even repair?). he excused me that he has checked all the parts after opening Laptop, and the problem could be only with Mother Board.

I was so upset with them and with their behavior, that I decided to take my Laptop with servicing I paid them Rs. 500/- as their service charge (so call expert’s service charge). Then I asked for a proper report where they have to indicate that the problem is coming due to Mother Board. They were first reluctant to give me such report but finally boldly they have reported that that the Laptop need to replace Motherboard.

I was quite upset and I tried to find the problem in Internet and as well as HP service support websites. I found that frequent power off problem may come due to over-heating, and there is a Heat Sink and Fan inside the Laptop, which dissipate the heat. If get jammed by dust and dirt then the safety device of laptop cuts the power so that it should not get damaged by over-heating.

I opened my laptop and seen that there are lot of dust over the heat sink and it is loosely connected to motherboard then I realized that for these reason laptop was getting over heated. I solved my problem and my laptop is working OK.

But why I am writing these big letter to you because I feel as a customer I can reach to you and tell the problem which general customer like me are being looted by so called HP authorized service centers.
The points, which I was to highlight, are as follows:

1) Does HP authorized service centers like Maha Electronics Pvt Ltd have a expert technical team?
2) Why they do not entertain the customers who are not under warranty?
3) Why these people has taken Rs. 500/- charge from me and had not given any solution?
4) Without thinking what could be the problem, they just told to replace motherboard of Rs. 20,000.00, by which they can at least earn some money. So don’t you think that they are looting general public like us , who has full faith on HP technical team?
So at last I want to tell HP that it should not spoil their brand name giving authorized service center stamp to the company like Maha Electronics Pvt Ltd.

HP Compaq — after sale service and no page to follow up complaint.

computer was purchased from authorised dealer giving freebees as said but till date it is not working many complaint was given but in deaf years.iwanted to extend my warranty to three years but the so called coustomer care is never replied to the written emails and corresponding to the extend that my chance of reneweing within one year had failed. again unfortunately i had to buy a printer of hp make which was registered with hp.an email came that we can avail to extend our limited warranty of one year to three year. i went to croma from where product was purchased, iwas adviced to goto vashi then from there i was told to aplly online and the company will contact me. after one month i recieved call from delhi talking with the gentlemen was ok again i recieved an email stating to provide contact number and home address which idid but already one and half month had passed.hp should stop giving false promises for after sales services i know in india this has no value but can they do this in us.

IN MY CASE THE RECOVERY DVD GOT DESTROYED.
When I contacted the delhi service centre they told to contact local service centre. I reported my problem to them 27or28 feb.2008. they told me to contact back after 10-12 days. I kept contacting them but they say they had not received recovery DVD till today.
i had visited also in person got the following details
problem was registered by them in my name, and no reference no. from service centre given to me.
product code for DVD required by me is[protected].
they informed me the del code[protected].
i donot understand from where they are calling DVD from.
if it can be delivered directly to me that will be more helpful.

Hi my name is Raj, I am facing a problem from last 2 months. i have HP Compaq nx6115 model. On 20th Feb, 2008 I registered a complain regarding some hardware problem in my laptop NX6115. After one month, I got my laptop back 26th of March, 2008. Reference No. is [protected]. In which my laptop motherboard & DVD rom is replaced. After five days when I try to write CD, it show some hardware error. When I check my DVD rom, it was not a new part. HP Service Center engineer did not fixed a new part. He took my new DVD Rom and he fixed a damaged old part. Regarding this fraud when I try to speak with Mrs. Sunita (Sr. person in Okhla Service Center according to front desk people) she was not interested to listen me. She said OK we will see, what a attitude!! . They gave me new complained No. [protected] on 1st April, 2008. After a one week, (on 8th April, 2008) when I did not get any feedback from HP, I called so many times in HP service center helpline number, every time I got a same reply Sir, I will call you back in 10 minutes I spooked with Mr. Rajive, Miss Kajal et.? They are not interested in resolving my problem. On 25th April, 2008 Mr. Rajiv told me that my unit is ready and they deliver it on my Dwarka address. Now today is 30th April, 2008, he did not deliver at my place and I did not receive any feedback why they taking so much time? They do not take my problem seriously, Please help me. Compaq laptop — sound fault &charging fault

inbuilt sound fault, one speaker is not working .charging problem, after full charge the battary backup is only 20minutes .

Compaq Presario — suddenly switch off it self and restarting

Dear Sir,
I purchased this laptop in UK and came to India. it was good when i purchased but in begning only it gave me a problem by stucking and without getting switched off when i tried to turn off. when i went to the shop where i purchased he told to keep pressing the power button for few times and it will switch off.

now the problem is that it is not able to copy any files on CD and it can not play any DVD and more over it is now restarting it self. yesterday i saw it showing an error FAT 32.

Is it a serious problem in my laptop. is this the level of HP quality? i am asking this question because already i went to the service center for thrice and they could rectify for temporary solution. not a permanent solution.

the other problem i am facing is the drivers are getting corrupted regularly. not able to understand the situation in critical times with this laptop.

My laptop compaq presarrio V3000 is only almost year old and i am already with problems...one of my speakers are not workin.what could be the reason and what is the next step i should take.which is the nearest service centre to Andheri (saki naka).I do not want to give it to the service centre cause it will take you guys a long period of time to return .i cannot afford to not have a laptop for a long time because i have presentations to put-fourth.so can things be done in a better way.

I am having great problems with my HP Pavillion Laptop.

After sales service is not suported...

Prior to sales contract, was assured that all essential software /programmes are loaded...except antivirus.On presale agreement Mc Fee was loaded.

Now I find that my microsoft office that was loaded was only a trial version...this is double speak by the company.The assurances given, are qualified by fine print.

The battery life is only 2 hrs.and Premium Vista is a very slow operating system.

Would request company to honour the sales agreement...the dealers representthe company.

I also have a problem with Compaq Presario SMPS which is not working but when i took for service at microsystems authorised distributor for Compaq and HP they took rs100 just to see the smps then they offered me an intex smps that stupid service engineer does not even know that other smps will not fit in compaq cabinet this is how all branded systems service is like. So I would request all to purchase unbranded systems so that we will not be forced in some situation like this also they have not told me the price for the smps till date this problem has taken around 20 days now and no reply till date. when we contact they say that they will call after 10 mins but till date they have not done so.the part nos of the smps are[protected] /[protected] now i am left with a computer which just does not work due to this simple smps problem. iam pursuing mba from acharya college. my college provided us hp laptop to all students...
but there is big problem in hp laptop body, adaptor, and some other problem but hp company regarding this problem donot take any action and they donot provide any free workshop for complaints int he college campus. hp was provide the approx 250 laptopin the last year.this is big order but they donot care about the student problem...this is not good fr company sales and thier goodwill

I have a complain to my Compaq laptop, which was deposited with the name of surya computers(Sachin rajput)in your RNTL Services Near Novelty Cinema Hall Lucknow on 15Dec.2008 but earlier i deposited it to surya computers kot bazaar rath. My complaint no. is 136, but with very sadly I have to tell you, that near about one month is going to be complete and my work also has stopped, the laptop didnot repiar and I didnot get a satisfactory answer by service center.

I hav a hp 6510b series laptop..My display had a problem..My token no dec 092 and complaint no [protected]..its been almost 2 months since i have given the lap top for service.They are still saying part is not available fro replacement.
It almost cost me a fifty bucks for calling every week with no positive reply from them.
I m a student of Psg tech and My projects are coming By and im really suffering like hell without My lap top.
Hp service Is very bad.students like me are very much suffering because of its service.
If they don take any more action, i would need to complain to the higher officials.
