[Resolved]  ICICI Bank Credit Card — Forcibly issued Insurance Policy

I’m holding a credit card of ICICI Bank. 2 months back I have received a call from ICICI Bank credit cards division offering me an Insurance Policy from their sibling company ICICI Lombard.
This policy will be linked with my credit card. They told me that they are sending the Insurance documents. Once I send the signed document accepting the terms and conditions, then only they charge against credit card for the policy.

They have asked a pre approval over phone to block the credit balance for the insurance. With this approval they have directly issued a policy and started taking EMI against the card.
Now when I have asked the credit cards division to block the transaction, they are saying you have to cancel the policy then the Insurance will pay back the money directly to me.

The insurance company gave me one surprising news, saying without taking a payment we can’t issue the insurance. That is why we charged your credit card issued a policy. Now if you have to cancel the policy, we will charge the cancellation fee.

The credit cards division gave me all the false information, made me bare the charges of Insurance policy, and they are not stopping the transaction at all.

Even i have the same problem without any confirmation icici lombard insurance emi was paid thru my icici credit card now i am going for settlement where iam finding huge amount for settlement which is very difficult to pay...
Since I have repaid the total amount of the credit card no.:
1. [protected]
2. Add on, if any
I request u to kindly cancel the above mentioned credit card(s) and inform me immediately.

ICICI Bank — forcibly gave me insurance policy

Icici is such a disgusting company.They cheat their customers by making false promises.Once I got a call frm credit cards dept saying that due to my regular payments I am offered an isurance policy.I said him that i dont require the policy but he said that it has been issued on my name and it can be cancelled only after i get the docs and he even said that ur voice request for the cancellation has been recorded and i the blocked amount in the creit card would be reverted in 2months.
After 2months I have even waited for 2 more months expecting it to get cancelled but it didnt happen n when I called them back they said that dept no longer exists there and they can take the request now and i had to pay huge amount for the cancellation as wel..this is how private banks works..they somehow want to sell their policies.For that they dont mind playing these cheap tricks.I am jst one among the victims.There could be many more so jst watch out guys if any bank calls u offering u some policies or cards.
