[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — ECS Bounce charges

Address:Bangalore, Karnataka

My salary account was opened with ICICI Bank, Mysore Branch in July 2008. I had applied for ECS for a personal loan I took from Standard Chartered Bank in April 2011. But the ECS was never working since I provided incorrect MICR code in the ECS form. All these months until now, I was paying EMIs to SC Bank in form of cash with a nominal late fee. This month, on 28th Jan 2013, my account statement showed Rs.393.26 deducted as ECS return charges by ICICI bank. However, I was not informed by ICICI that the ECS has been approved and the money will be deducted starting this month. Because of this, Standard Chartered also fined me Rs.700 for the ECS bounce and late fee charges. I would like to get back a total amount of Rs.1093.26 from ICICI Bank. Appreciate your help.

ICICI Bank — Bank charges unnecessary Overdue and bouncing charges

I took home loan from ICICI. when i asked for foreclosing the loan they gave me statement with additional overdue and boucing charges where as my payments were perfect. after lot of communication they reduced some amount and did not gave the satisfactory answers for remaining .
after several followup i got fed up and paid extra charges.

so my advice is be very careful while taking loan from ICICI and if your loan is going on, keep continous watch on it. and promptly enquire about any activity.

best is do not take loan from ICICI
I am one of the unfortunates who took a home loan from the bank, and suffered intensely; both emotionally and financially.

Due to unfortunate circumstances, I had to default on my Home Loan. Not able to pay the EMI, I brought in a buyer for the flat who was willing to settle all the pending dues. However, the new buyer was not keen on taking a loan from icic for the flat. As a result, the bank did not allow the sale with the buyer to go through. Having no other options, I agreed to surrender the flat to the bank. For months there after, the bank dragged on the issue on some pretext or the other. Ever time I agree to go to the bank to sign the documents, the members of the bank I was interacting with would find some excuse or the other for me not to sign it. Realizing that the bank was deliberately avoiding me signing the documents in order to maximize the interest they can get for the loan, I filed in a consumer complaint in this form, and also wrote to the RBI. Only there after, did I manage to get my loan closed.

I lost all the money invested on the flat. The senior members of the bank are extremely arrogant and show scant respect to their customers. It has been a turmoil dealing with the bank.

I would advice all those interested in taking a loan to stay away from the bank. Do not take any loan from the bank. The pain that you would have to go through if things go wrong, is miserable.
