[Resolved] ICICI Prudential — not processing surrender | |||
I was having a Life time policy from ICICI prudential and was paying Rs 25000 per annum as premium. I paid this amount for last 4 years. as per the policy terms, minimum perriod was 3 years and I continued it for 4 years. Now the 5th instalment is due, which I am unable to pay and i wanted to surrender my policy and take my money back on NAV basis. I have my all details registered with ICICI Prudential. e.g. Email ID, ICICI Bank Account Number etc. Now since I am working overseas, I cannot visit their offices personally to sign any formal application for surrender of my policy. And I am requesting to do the electron tic transfer of surrender value to my ICICI Bank saving account only ( Registered account with Prudential also). As usual, ICICI Prudential is very smart and denying for processing of my withdrwal and I cannot afford to incur additinal expense of Rs 30000 for visit to india for this work only and whereas my surrender value is just Rs130000. I need intervention that how these insurance companies work on dual standards, one for taking money, you can pay online from anywhere in world, but for withdrwal , one need to be present in their office. I am ready to face and provide any verification they require to process. I can send my passport copy duly certified by embassy of India here in Lao PDR or I can request my family members to provide whatever documents they require w.r.t my identity or residence proof and surrender original policy certificate etc for processing the surrender of my life time policy No[protected] Prem Shanker Khandelwal).
