[Resolved]  ICICIcredit Card — Late payment & interest charges

Dear Sir / Madam,

My complaint is regarding the late payment charges & interest charges levied by ICICI Bank credit card division.
The first time charges which were to waive off by ICICI, didn't waived off instead late payement & interest charges were levied since Feb 2008. I stopped using this card in July 2008 & still I am receiving the late payment charges & interest.

Communication regarding the same with customer care in writing is mentioned below---

The outstanding due on your credit card is inclusive of purchases and charges and total outstanding due on your credit card account is Rs.3, 574.60.

However, we regret our inability to reverse the charges on your credit card account. Kindly make the payment in order to avoid charges in future.

But my question is whatever balance amount I have to pay, Is that the charges only or I have spent this amount actually?

As I said I will not pay the charges and you better know that I stopped using this card since four months for the reason that I have been charged late payment first in January and even after reporting to customer care no reversal took place instead intrest has been levied for whatever charges I did not pay.

I regard whatever rules ICICI must be having but it doesn't mean that I will pay for the banks mistakes.

Once again I request that if anything in this amount is actually spent by me please let me know I will pay immidiately.

Are you sure that I have used the ICICI card for shopping of Rs. 4679.43 or this is the charges that ICICI has levied on me for no reason. Secondly as discussed with sutomer care in May 2008 I have been asked to pay only that amount which is being used by me for shopping and not the other charges levied by ICICI. But again I did not receive any consolidated statement till may 2008 in time from ICICI to clear this transaction.



I shall once again repeat that if anything in this amount is being used for shopping I will pay else I will not, as ICICI has not paid proper attension to my querries and complaints that I am reporting since January 2008 (I have records of my telephone bills).

I look forward for better settlement of this account.

I regret to inform you that I have paid all the amount which I spent on this card, after discussing at ICICI cutomer care on telephone. I do not wish that ICICI shall pay the amount that I have spent but at the same time I do not wish to pay for any extra that has been charged to me.

Dear gentleman / lady,

Thanks for writing me and reminding me that I have not used ICICI credit card since a month. To tell you I have not used it since two months, please verify. The reason for not using it is the late payment charges which were levied in January 2008 still not waved off even after reporting to customer care and the amount due to late payment charges and interest is increasing.

You see before January that I have used this card sincerely and paid all the dues spend by using ICICI credit card. So if I did not receive the proper communication from ICICI I will prefer to close this card and get something else.

I am really very sorry to say that I used to get ICICI statements sometimes late and many a times cheques from ATM are not properly collected. Please correct these small errors from your system and I am sure that you will get more customer satisfaction than complaints.

I am holding your Credit Card No. [protected] in the name of Atul
Srivastava. I am purchasing Rs. 3100/- from S.R.Sons, Kamla Nagar and
the same amount is paid by
Cheque No. 000492 for Rs. 3100/- dated 03.07.08 the same is to be debited from
my Bank on 06.07.08 but you have not credited to my credit card Account. When I
received credit card
statement on 17.07.08 it shows all dues are still pending then I talked to your
Customer Care Executive he said that the payment lying in Suspicious account
now your account is
settled and you have not pay any charges, but again when I received credit
card statement on 17.08.08 the it shows total due of Rs. 537.41 for Late
Payment I am again talked to
your customer care executive and he said you have first paid Rs. 537.41 than
they give reversal. Why should I pay Rs. 537.41 as late fees, I have already
paid full & final amount

the intrest has been charged on my card with the delay in receving payment. but i had deposited the
chq in time. but after a call from them ideposited Rs 10,000/= but i was surprised to see that the
chq had been recd by them. &the intrest was also charged. iwould like to say please reverce the
