My name is " Rakesh Singh" .I completed my 10th in the year 2005. My problm is that, my name was printed as " Rakesh kumar singh". A middle name was added in my certificate.This may be due to their were two student holding rakesh name.When i completed my 10th i did'nt know the importance of this prblm and realized a bit late..My 12th certificates contains same problem.I'm facing lot of problms with my 10th&12th certificate.Would you kindly let me know the procedures regarding removing of my middle name.I desperately need this change.becoz i am going to apply for my passport, for that i will have to submit my birth certificate in which my name is written as "Rakesh singh" . So Plz let me know abt the procedures that solve my prloblem and make my dream of flying abroad come true.Plz respond to my problm quickly as I'm facing lot of mental stress, becoz till now i did not know any means to solve this problmm.plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.My index no is T/5342/031..

I have recently changed my name. After completing all the formalities for the change of name, i wanted to get my 10th and 12th pass certificates reissued with my new name. But to my surprise the Head of School told me that there is no provision for any such change in the board.
i then found this document on the official site of CISCE (http://www.cisce.org/data/Syllabus%20for%20ICSE%202011/Regulations.pdf). It had this point in chapter IV.A.6.b.ii where it states that a person can get a certificate with changed name.Though the Head of School still maintains what he had said earlier.
i also found this form on the official site of CISCE (http://www.cisce.org/data/Download/DUPLICATEDOCUMENTAPPLICATIONFORM.pdf) which, i think has provisions for accepting a change of name.
Thus i request you to please help me out. Guide me in the proper direction of weather this can be done or not.
