[Resolved] Idea Netsetter 3g — EXCESS BILLING, Totally cheating | |||
Hi, I have been a customer of idea netsetter 2G for last one year in raipur( CG),Right from the first day they have been giving me pains. They have a terrible services and poor response. Even a small file of 3-4 MB upload or download eats up entire day. The signal breaks in the middle. For any change in plan/service one has to visit atleast 2 -3 times to there customer care offices to get heard and that will take at least another week's time for implementation. Recently i had requested for 3G plan , for which i called up several times, visited 3 times to there offices and took almost 10 Days to get on a 3G plan.The billing Cycle is 15th to 15th with 750 rental and 2GB free data, As i have used only 10 days on 3G network, That gives me almost 680 MB of free usage( calculating per day free usage), But i was shocked to see.... i had been charged for all the data i have used, though i have used only 635 MB in that 10 days.... There was an excess billing of almost 1500+ ,Though i haven't used anything beyond free usage. for the next billing cycle there is an outstanding bill of 6000+ ,I had contacted on there customer care numbers but those dumb guys are unable to understand. then i had mailed them the entire matter, they said they will reply withing 7 days, i didnt got any reply till 8th day, again i mailed them for any answer, again they said it will be resolved withing 24 hrs and will be intimated....i am really frustrated with there attitude towards customers, Finally i had mailed them that i will be dumping there device in garbage, dats the place it deserves. The matter is not about the money, but its about cheating, its totally fraud with customers. I advice all the people who are looking for data cards never ever go for IDEA NETSETTER , Its services are totally pathetic and along u get a long term headache and frustration. It seems they just want to yield all the money they have invested to buy 3g spectrum from there customers pockets in illicit ways. Please never support such companies who cheat you in such way. I purchased idea’s 3G net setter for Rs. 1500 on 23rd April 2011. It was activated on 25th April 2011. I used it for 5 days till 30th April 2011. Then it stopped working, and when I complained to the customer care of idea, they told me that my unbilled usage is Rs. 7500, and that the bill will be generated on 5th May 2011, after which the discount will be done and Rs.750 should be the bill. I waited till 5th May for bill generation, but the bill generated was Rs. 4000. Your company is a big fraud, why is the bill so much? I have used your Idea net 3G just for 5 days. Your company is fooling around the people by generating huge bills without even the usage. I am never again going to use your idea net setter 3G. I don’t want this connection. Return my money that I spent in getting this 3G net setter.

iam Raveesh babu, team splar kochi.i had used 3g only 5 hours. down loading some songs and orkut, some movie clips.only use max 4hoursor 5.but the great tragedy is my bill is 115676 !!! eleven thousandand more whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ???????? what can i do... iam a ordinary customer and my credit limit is 2ooo.why bill is like this. can u believe it...// BUT IAM TELLING THE REAL TRUTH WHAT AN IDEA 2 CHEAT!!!1
I am an idea 2g netsetter, unlimited download version user since november 2010. My monthly bill comes to around 650 rupees per month.I am used to using the internet for almost 16-17 hours a day for browsing as well work related matters. Towards the end of March 2011, I was granted 3g net usage in the 2g connection and this was free . This went on for 2 months and then finally on May 24, 2011 the 3g connection was cut off and I was able to access the internet using the 2g version. I went to the loal idea outlet here in Narayanpeth, Pune to ask them why it was so. They told me that it was given since I was a privileged customer. I then enquired of the 3G rates. They told me for 3GB usage i have to pay 850 rupees . but they are giving a discount of 50% for first 2 months.--that becomes 425 rupees for 2 months upto 3gb download. Now for every 10 Kb usage after that i pay 5 paise. Now I was unaware of the amount of GB one consumes when using it for around 500 hours a month. I conveyed this to the officer there. But they assured me tat It would not be a problem. within 6 days o[censored]sing the 3g connection I was confronted with a bill of 36000 rupees!!. I was flabbergasted and asked the officer at the outlet how this came. She told me it was because of my usage and dismissed it that and told me we have to wait and see what the bill comes out on the 23rd of June 2011. Today I am confronted with a bill of Rs 59K and an unbilled amount of Rs 52K --A total of 1.11 Lakh INR.!!!.. and I have used the net setter for just 24 days. I feel cheated and totally taken for a ride. I am used to paying 650 rupees a month for 2G connection unlimited download and this seems like a solid scam to cheat loyal customers. I am used to paying my bills on time for my netsetter and my idea mobile bill but with this incident I am scarred in my attitude towards Idea 3G and I dont still beleive tht my bill is more than a lakh . Please suggest what I should do.
