It is with a lot of mental agony and trauma, that I post this mail.
I made a blunder of buying your product - Elite 5 kg washing machine on 31.12.2006. And ever since the third day of purchase, it has given our family a horrible time with one complaint or another. Adding to our woes, the service centre supposedly taking care of our area are highly incompetent and are not able to mend the problems. Within a period of 33 months from the date of purchase, as many as 16 complaints have been registered. This includes an episode of the service people taking my machine to their centre for repair and observation for a period of nearly a month during 2007. On an average, a complaint every alternate month. And IFB boasts of providing the customers a world class product. Is this the standard they are proud of..? The latest episode - about the machine not spinning and tumbling, was first reported on the 24th of Sept'09. It had not been registered in the customer care. Only God knows why..? The second complaint made on 26th of Sept'09 has been registered. After a series of repeated calls to the local service centre, one technician turned up after 7 days, ie on the 1st of Oct'09. ( please note that none of the people related to IFB bothered to follow it up till then. ) The technician spent about 15 mins, tightened a loose wire, termed the problem as loose connection and went his way. The machine went through one full program. The next load, however, did not make through. Once again after pleading with the service people, the same technician turned up after 2 days, ie on the 3rd of Oct'09 and mended the problem. Due to the frequent nature of the problems with the machine, I had entered into an AMC with IFB on the 3rd Oct'09. Although, I insisted the technician to stay and observe allthroughout the full program, he did not care a damn and went away in 15 to 20 mins stating that now everything was alright. That load of dirty linen, once again was only washed by hand. We tried to run the machine again on the 4th but in vain. Being Sunday, I did not want to disturb IFB people, although I feel they dont deserve that etiquette. Having reported on 5th Oct'09, I'm still waiting for the unconcerned people to attend to my problems. Having spent Rs.20,000/- for the purchase of an unworthy product and few more thousands on the repair and AMC of the same and still having persistent problems with the machine, has put me into a lot of mental trauma and agony. Based on the above, I am now contemplating on whether to initiate legal proceedings with the consumer forum. But before that, I felt it only appropriate on my part, to bring the facts of my case to the notice of the High Officials of the company, as a last attempt. Being an optimist, I still hope that there are a few responsible people in the company, who would take this matter seriously with concern and try to resolve my long pending and persisting problem.

We did not get the machine till this day and I request you to kindly look into this matter and advise your service centre to complete the service / repair immediately and return the machine to us very soon.
