[Resolved]  Ifb Washing Machine - Eleena Brand — Service below Standard

I had purchased IFB-Eleena washing Machine about one and half years ago. The motor of the machine gave away and the service engineer sent by the Company replaced it. However, the machine did not work and I complained again about it. No body attends to teh Machine though it has been over two months. It is a harassing experience.

My latest complaint no.is 1464634. I would never ever purchase a IFB Product nor suggest anyone to purchase. This Company should die a death as the consumer dissatisfaction is going to affect its business sooner or later.

I have a IFB Washing machine which is still under warrenty in Chennai. The machine is dead for 1 month and the service team just passing time on reparing the machine.

The service team is also very rude and they do not respect our customers emotions and problems at all. they are so lathargic and operate in their own pace.

The people who are associated with Chennai service center are Ms. Vidya Ganesh, Ph: [protected], Sivaraj, Vinod, and Ganesh - Office number is 24335610.

Literally very bad service - still the machine is not repaired. I am planning to through the machine at their door steps. WIth some of my media contacts planning to put it on paper to show our sufferings.
I would'nt suggest any one to go in for IFB machine strongly because of the very bad service baking.

Even if the mach ine is under warrenty, they will not service it for you ......you will only get frustrated.

If any one has a problem with your IFB machine, MY ADVICE IS TO SCRAP THE DEAD MACHINE INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR THEIR TEAM TO REPAIR, WHICH IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. AND GET A NEW MACHINE, THIS IS MORE WORTH BUYING A NEW MACHINE THAN FOLLOWING UP.

I HAVE IFB SENATER SINCE 2001 WHICH IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY,I COMPLAINED SO MANY TIMES BUT MY COMPLAINT IS NOT EXECUTED PROPERLY.WHAT SHOULD I DO?
i read ur complaint about the water draining problem... im also an ifb costumer from 1994... i have payed my amc's every year, in this time they came to my plave and took the machine to their service center, they changed the timer which is 3000rs, drum which is 2500, external drum another 3000, pump motor costs sone 4000rs and i never had any problems with the maching... in fact ifb machines esp front loaders are 1 of the worlds best! maybe service sucks in ur city but in vizag( AP) its super... and secondly...guys all of you get a user manual when u buy the machine!!! please read it before use... i[censored] don not know how to read ask some one who can read! now to your complaint... water doesnt drain out if
1) the fluff filter is clogged with fluff from ur clothes or some money change such as coins might have got stuck in the fluff filter, it is located in the front bottom left side.. there is a small door u check that open that and clean it...
2) use detergents that do not get foam... there are specially developed soap powders such as surf excel front matic or henko front matic.. which are especially developed or designed for front loaders..!
if foam is accumalated in the machine the pump motor which is designed to pump out water cannot pump out all the foam! so teh machin in fact runs slowley due to the weight of the clothes and due to all the water not being pumped by the pump motor... detergent plays an important role in the running of the machine! so avoid using cheap powders! i this i've answered mose of teh problems... nxt time u have a problem send me a mail at [protected]@gmail.com. im not a company guy. so dont place any sort of complaints... i can give u advice on how to use ur maching properly! regards...JIMMY

I recentlly got the IFB Elena washing machine and obviously wanted to get a demo prior to start using the machine to ensure I use it in the right fashion, I called up the IFB customer service center on 24th April for a Demo ( my demo # 1725541 ) and they said they will have someone come to my place the next day, i requested if the person can come before 2pm as after that i have to leave for work and i was assured that someone will be there after 12am but before 2pm, the next day i waited till 0230pm however no one turned up so i asked a relative to come and stay in my house just in case someone from your office turns up to give a demo, i followed up with 2-3 calls the same day and every time i was assured that someone will be there before 8pm, in the evening at around 7pm i got a call from your office saying that no one will be coming however someone will attend to the call the first day on 26th April, I have cancelled all my plans today and have been waiting for someone to turn up since 10am in the morning however no one has come till now, i called up your office again and told the representative who attended my call how frustrating this is and i would like to speak to the supervisor, she gave me a tel number of Mr Rajesh ( [protected] ), I have been trying to reach him for the last 2 hours and it just keeps ringing.

I cannot tell you how frustrated I'm, this is definitely the worst customer service experience of my life. I have decided never to buy any IFB product...its a shame that in todays competitive world you guys are absolutely not interested in managing your customers well...you have not only succeeded in loosing one to many of your customers but you guys have also been sucessful in wasting our precious time.


I don't think you guys can survive long in the industry and i sincerely hope you guys don't last long.

I too had very Very bad experience with IFB. I booked a WM of ELEENA type, on 3rd May 2008, from DIGITAL Shoppy, KPHB, Hyd.
They delivered it on 6th May 2008 (I had to beg for DEMO too), it worked only for 2 days, and 2 washings, then on 9th when i select a program, its not at all working. when i reported it to IFB Customer care (because i can't report it to DIGITAL Shoppy), i have not got a good response. on repeated complaints, they gave their manager's mobile no. i called him more that 30 times, not a singel time he lifted his mobile. No body has turned up yet, and i still waiting for service person!!! :-(
The IFB customer service is very very poor. Even if you call 100 times, they will not come. Better go in for some other brand.

I am facing same problem with my washing machine. Last 20 days they have not repaired my machine which is under warranty. Even talking to higher authority nothing has materialised
My earnest request to all the keen buyers please don't purchase any IFB product. Their after sales support is miserable. They are just the box pushers.
For the last 25 days i have been running behind the service engineers of IFB in chennai to repair my machine. They are A BUNCH OF SHAMELESS LIARS, WHO DON'T EVEN BOTHER TO PICK UP THE BLOODY PHONE.
