[Resolved]  IFB Washing Machine — WORST QUALITY AND PATHETIC SERVICE

Dear sir,
We had purchased this fully automatic 7kg Digital machine around 3 years back and till date we must have made at least 30 complaints to the company on their 24 hours no [protected] regarding the malfunctioning of this machine and now we have realized and are convinced that IFB Digital or Fully Automatic machines are not meant for Indian conditions because first of all, they start malfunctioning even at the slightest voltage fluctuation or on the intake of water which is controlled by some kind of p reinstalled programme in their machines and above all they have appointed highly sub standard after sales franchisee who I feel have hired unqualified technicians who do all kind of experiments in front of your eyes on these expensive washing machine.
In the last 3 years after doing experiment by changing digital boards when they fail to repair the machine technicians have admitted they they are not qualified to handle the automatic machine and shockingly during my 2 visits to the owner of their franchisee the owner had accepted that their is a shortage of trained technicians.
In the latest episode when we made complaint their technician visited our house after some diagnosis he told us that mother board is malfunctioning which will be replaced the next day, the next day he came and replaced the mother board which as per him was for about Rs5000/ the machine started but before the machine could complete its full cycle of 2 hours 10 minutes it stopped at 44 minutes so we n made a complaint to the franchisee but for three days no body turned up,so today I called up IFB 24 hours Call center where I was informed that my complaint is closed, surprisingly MNC like IFB does not even care to check from the customers about their feedback related to repairs but close the complaints on the feed back of thier untrained technicians, so you can understand the after sales service which they are providing to the customers, anyway today I personally went to their franchisee at Laxmi Nagar and showed my un happiness on their poor service where Mr Gupta / Mr Aggarwal the owner assured a visit by their technician before 6 pm and which happened , the technician again did all experiments and gave us a statement that the mother board which was changed on18th December is still the culprit and as a precaution he had brought another Mother board which he again changed and again the machine started. I thanked him as he had helped us to save our self from the chilly winter water ,but as I was accompanying the technician to see him off at the main gate my wife informed us that there is a burning smell coming,we immediately came back and switched off the machine the mechanic again opened the machine from the back and after this diagnosis has informed us that the actual problem is with the motor which is burnt out due to normal wear tear but he promised to change it on Monday but before he leaves my house I insisted that I would like to speak with Mr Gupta/ Mr Aggarwal , initially the technician spoke with him for 2 minutes and than he gave me the cell so I asked him the facts and actual repair time , now Mr Gupta has informed me that this 10 pin motor is out of stock but will be arranged latest by Tuesday and when I asked him that why it has happened, shockingly he has informed me that there is wiring problem in my house about which he feels that we were not aware for the last 26 years.
I have read a lot of similar complaints about IFB in the print media and on websites there fore I expect that through this forum I can get my complaint resolved.

IFB — PATHETIC QUALITY AND WORST SERVICE!!

For a product which is most expensive and people spend their hard earned money to get better quality life, end up with the most horrid experience.

With 2 years of experience with the machine, I am sure that if this is the quality of machine, there couldnt be a worst product available in market

I have informed my experience to IFB on 26.11.08 about around 10 visits by 5engineers, 5 parts replaced, innumerable calls to set right the machine.

I am sure that IFB engineers are not competent to know the problem. I have been telling for past 2 months that we have to press the door to start machine and sometimes, still it doesnt start. Yesterday when again a different engineer came, he told that the main part (circuitary power board) has failed and I need to pay for it as 15 days have passed after warranty. I was told that some manager would call me. After 24 hours, no calls!!!

IT IS RIDICULOUS.
