This is for sure a scam. I too received the email about qualifying for the Rs. 60, 00, 000 sweepstakes. When asked to enter the name and email id on the very first page, I put in some random alphabets making sure that the string of alphabets for email contained '@' and '.' (any email id would contain these for sure and that is how one checks if the string is a valid email id or not). In spite of these random garbage strings, the verification succeeded taking the garbage string as my name and generating a passcode for the same. This proves that this scheme/ad is 100% a scam.

The people who are behind this scam and other similar ones, take advantage of the masses by luring them with huge money prizes. What they gain from this?... MONEY that some pay to be eligible for greater monetary gains (like some people have already payed a few hundred rupees for cds, T-shirts, etc.).

People, please be careful of these scams and never give out your real information. It's best to first verify by inputting some garbage/pseudo values and seeing the outcome. And, please don't waste your cash to get these gifts. Buy these items from nearby stores and have the peace of mind!!

Don't rely upon the ITBC.Its a cheating organisation.They will assure you about your gift/Order etc.Even after paying the full amount since last 1 half months I have not received my order.Later they wont respond to your mail.Please don't trust ITBC.

I had orderd shopping bag, T- shirt and 8 CD, which were priced at Rs. 799 + handling charges 300. but I received only CDs vide bill no. ORA[protected] Ammount 1099 which for all three Items, by courier ! what about the rest.

I too got this email of the sweepstakes 600000 draw.and i really dont know wheather it is really a draw or just a way to make money.

Yeah! I too received similar kind of mail, please revert whether ITBC Sweepstake is FAKE or GENIUNE

Someone has to really look in to this matter from the Indian Complaint and Consumer forum and resolve it ASAP. I have ordered for CD's and all sort of packs and which is not worth buying the way it has been sold. There is a costly retail group with dummy form running with the sponsor of India Today Book Club.

Please stop this further else we will be a lot big looser for this group to cheat... In general, I have not seen anyone who has Won Rs. 24 L or 60 L which makes us to think fantacy :)))))

I kindly request you to concentrate other work to earn that money rather awaiting for Book Club gift which is non existing in the universe.

I got my Rs. 60, 00, 000.00 Sweepstakes Certificate of Eligibility over email, and there is a line "Click here to get your sweepstakes passcode" but there is no link on the line as well as in the whole email sent to me to go to ur server.
So, I request you to please look into this matter and give me a feedback as soon as possible.

India Today Book Club is not fake. It is a part of India Today. I am a member of ITBC since long.It gives offers in which things are offered at discounts.I have ordered 3-4 times and have received it within 3-5 weeks time.Sweepstake offering of Rs. 60 lakhs is also a part of it.It is a lottery. Some offer are made with it. It is not necessary to purchase it. One can get entry without purchasing any thing.How ITBC gets one's email ID? I think that when one registers with some websites, there is a choice that he wants to receive promotional offers or not. if you select it your email is shared and you receive such offers.I became a member of ITBC as I was a subscriber to India Today magazine.

Also I got a mail from IRCTC and India today group Book Club of Certificate of Eligiblity to Win Rs 6000000 thus I want to Confirm and Verify Whether this Real or a Fake one like other online lotteries.

And If False and Fake Why don't you People Take Action and If By any Chance Real then I may be by Chance Lucky Winner of the Same. Kindly Verify and Oblge.
