[Resolved]  India Today Book Club Sweepstakes Offer — Is it reliable

I received the same mail(Confirmed Eligible for Rs 60, 00, 000.00 Sweepstak)... on 27th august 2009. I wanna know whether it is true or not..
I will be grateful to u if reply me soon.

I am getting letters to update my contact details for rs 8 lakhs.i want to inform you if it is true then please write my name as Sumona Saha if luckily I win .Well I already bestowed my personal name, address & contact number to this sweepstakers administrator. So, I request you to please look into this matter and give me a feedback as soon as possible, when should I get my prize.

This is to bring into your notice that I had received your letter on Sept 2, 2009 after the last date of the draw for sweepstakes. I nonetheless have sent a demand draft of Rs 2199.00 on Sept 5, 2009.

Kindly return the draft if you do not accept the entry after deadline. Please send the acknowledgement if you accept the entry.

Please make sure that there is ample delivery time so that the letter reaches the constentents well within the deadline.

There is no such Sweepstakes and stuff... It is all Fake... Nobody ever gets anything... People don't even get their free holidays/gifts which they are supposed to get after buying something from ITBC...

Don't fall for it... Say NO to this or all such similar plans... No one gives 60lacs for free, Think yourselves, You've got brains too!!

Despite of a no. of calls from your Mumbai, New Delhi offices for confirmation of address and phone nos. I'm waiting for the gift(which includes a holiday package in India, a pair of addidas shoes and a jwellery set worth Rs. 2249). Till now no action has been taken inspite your officer said to send the gift very soon since Sept. 2008.

I have recived an letter that you can win if you buy of Rs 2199, i had send and buy package, My order no is RM_MAILER/0GA[protected]
but again i recived same letters, on 17/09/09 my i pay for same order again, or is that is true reply me on my email ID

i am mohammad imran. its genuine and i have received a cheque of rs. 1, 05, 000/- after deduction of 30% tax on 1, 50, 000/-

I strongly agree and same mail was received by IRCTC. i've paid approx Rs 500 but till date we have not received 2D/3N travel, Adidas Bag etc. I suppose its totally fraud and mail is receiving from IRCTC then IRCTC should be care ful or should take action for same.

Is this genuine??? I DON'T KNOW.

But, please take a look at the following facts.

1. The never said you will get 60, 00, 000 in CASH.

2. They started this years sweepstakes a year ego and as far as i know the draw is in April-2010.

3. What you will get in CASH is only 8, 00, 000 for 1st prize, 1, 00, 000 CASH for second prize ( 5 of them) and 5, 000 CASH for 3rd place (1000 of them). ( i have recived an email regarding this... you will get this only in the second phase).

4. If at all you are buying each and every thing they send you then the net worth what you will get as FREE stuff is 60, 00, 000. But sadly you would also spend quite a bit of money to get this!!! :(:(:(.

Yes, of course, they would have sent this email all the people in the data base. They will ask you to buy stuff (which otherwise you wouldn't have bought and definitely over prized) to increase your chance of winning. Lot of people will fall for it and buy stuff. So, overall they will be losing out only Rs.63, 00, 000 + some more on phone calls and emails. For that the amount of money in return they get would be HUGE.

Its fake Indiatoday book club sweeps take is is just like no sweeps take.I have contacted to them they say that result has been declared and send self address envelop so i did it but since result should be announced on their site or in news paper or magzine if result hase been declared.I have veven send them 2 big mails but reply was total unsatisfactory.I dont know how such organization is working ? how they are saying that there is sweeps take and now they have started other game it is Rs 8, 00000/- with head title Rs 6000000/- so if the result has been declared why using this sweeps take rupees sixty lakhs ?

I gurantee you people that its fake and you people know it lot of fraud thing in India you can see corruption people do and organization is big in India.Indiatoday book club thinks that they can do anything nobody will utter a single word.We dont need any Indiatimes offer of products which they do throug sms and throug mails.Its very irritating.They should announce the result which they not doing.Why not transparency ? are they exploiter ? all sweeps take result get announced so why Indiatoday boom club not announcing it ? just think about it so make a large group and teach them a lesson.

He asked me to give 16 digits number of my credit card and cvv number through typing on mobile. Pl. confirm, is there any package from india today groups for their members or it is a fake call?
