[Resolved]  Indian Railways — Time table, Pantry car

Online information and services from Indian Railways has been improved a lot in last few years. But it is very unfortunate that most of the divisions of Indin railways does not have on line time table for their subarban trains which is a real necessity for daily passengers. Hope Indian railways will soon publish online suberban train time table.
I am a regular passenger in Howrah-Chennai Mail ( 6003/6004)which runs between Howrah Railway Station in West Bengal and Chennai Central Railway Station in Tamil Nadu. The train operates daily and covers a distance of 1, 663 km everyday, leaving Howrah at 21:00 hrs. and reaching Chennai at 22:30 hrs next day. Unfortunately such a long distance train does not have any pantry car and dining service is very poor. Please look into this matter.

sorry to say that the railway pantry car services either maintained by railways or irctc both are not good and they are serving less quantity and quality of food and charging exhorbitant rates from the passengers instead of charging as per railway menu. When i complained in writing the irctc taken action by not informed how much fine was imposed on the vendor or contractor for cheating the passenger. in all most all the trains the pantry car staff are not proving curd, water either in lunch or dinner and without request of consumer or passenger they are providing special sabji less quantity and charging more and selling the tea for Rs.5/- and coffee for 6/- and not providing 4 rotis and in the breakfast in the upma and vada only upma and only one vada insteadd of four vadas and arguing with the passenger and misbehaved and not providing complaint book when asked and not giving cash memos etc. on 19.8.2011 I travelled from Bina to Nellore by GT express R.K.Associates catering services when I complained about the less quantity of food and higher charging instead of showing their menu they forced me to pay the amount and when I asked refused to give complaint book. I travelled in S-3 berth No.67. They have shown rude behaviour. Kindly take necessary action against them and kindly intimate me the same please.
