Indian Railways — TTE AND SPECIAL SQUAD UNFAIR TREATMENT AND BRIBE
Sir/Madam,I am addressing to your office as I couldn't find any mail id at WCR website.
After having suffered many a times I am writing for your kind intervention to stop suffering of the unemployed youths who travel for their interviews etc. and are not in a way to Bribe the TTE for the Berth allotment.
I am basically from Jabalpur and ocassionally travel to Bhopal for interviews ,exams etc.I fear to return by Amarkantak express which leaves Bhopal station at 3:45 pm,and rather consider leaving late by Janshatabdi express which leaves Habibganj at 5:40 pm,because in the later case we get the berth allocated at Ticket counter only.
The reason being that when we ask for a berth allotment in Amarkantak express the TTE normally charges extra amount ranging from 30 to 75 rs.,irrespective of the fact that the train runs vacant till Jabalpur.
The same Happenned to me on 06th march 2008,when i was returning from Bhopal ,by Amarkantak express.I asked the concerned TTE for a Berth till Jabalpur ,he allocated me the Berth S3 - 13 ,but as I had suffered earlier also,I asked him to write my Berth no. on my ticket,which he did,when I quoted the fear of the Special Squad.
When the concerned TTE came to me ,He asked for 120 Rs instead of 93 Rs.,to which I opposed,the reply was " DEKHTA HOON KAUN TERA TICKET BANATA HAI---AUR IS SE DOUBLE NAHIN LAGA TO BATANA" and he left.
When the Special checking Squad came ,I appraised them of the whole case,they instead of listening me asked me to leave the Compartment and settle the case with concerned TTE,to which i opposed that I am sitting on my allotted Berth,why am i not provided the Genuine ticket at Genuine rate,to which they replied that you have to pay Extra ,otherwise you would be charged for Unauthoried Travel which Amounts to 345 Rs.
I was harassed to such an Extent that the Special Squad said to the concerned TTE,that why you write the Berth no. on the Ticket,if you would have not written the Berth no. , I would have charged him with 345 rs..The Special squad people asked my Ticket and gave it to the TTE and asked him to cut the Berth no. allotted and written on Ticket,to which he cut down the same.
Now the Special Squad people gave me two options either to pay 345 for Unauthorised Travel in sleeper or pay 150 rs. now, for 93 rs..
When I saw ,that it is unnecessary harassing ,I gave them 150 rs. ,after which my ticket was made and I was left with words such as -"AB KABHI AISI HIMMAT MAT KARNA-HAMAARE PAAS HAZARON TARIKE HAIN,ABHI ANDER KAR DETE TO PATA CHAL JAATA"
My only request is that to,kindly protect and help us from these kind of instances,which are a daily routine on this train and could be verified anytime.
A process should be defined that TTE allocates the Berth No. and then only we are allowed to enter.
Because all your efforts go in Vain when such instances keep on occuring and are a daily habit for these people.
I would also suggest to allow the Reservation till 10 mins before the train departure ,for trains originating from Bhopal as is done at Jabalpur.

Chennai for the day of 17/04/2008. For VSG chennai Express for me and
my wife(52) . But on the day one ticket for me was conformed and for my wife was not conformed and it was RLWL/1. The ticket issued counter I was advised It is easily available on that day don"t worry.If not on the train the TTE will issue any seat/ some other mode.But on that day in the train the TTE (Conductor) came . I asked the conductor to issue me any seat or some other class.But he write in my ticket one is conformed and other WL/1. I know that.He told me wait .Iwas waiting a long time he come to me and murmur something and he said "
con't do any thing any way you travel your own risk, and gone away not allot me any seat /berth/sleeper class.I was travel in the path way near lavatory, with one berth my wife got she travelled in the side upper berth.She was aged 52 .she also got incovenient to travel.In the night travel I was suffered with out sleeping and inconvenient.My journey was regretable.
Kindly take necessary action on that and atleast refund my money accordingly.

I am really sorry that this is happening with all the Indian people. TTE are really taking advantage of the people.

I want to bring to your notice that the Ticket Checking Personnel on the Konkan railway especially train no, 0111 are the most callouse people I have ever met. The train is packed with passengers who do not have any reservations and yet they are not off loaded. They are allowed by the TCs to sit in the passages on the berths of confirmed passengers and the entrie passage near the toilet etc is blocked by them.
I have written letters and letters but nothing is done. The train is full of crockraches and rats.
Please look into this. I travelled on 4th Dec, 11th Dec, 19th Dec, 30th Dec to Goa on this train.
PLease help us. I am willing to come and talk in front of any panel and show my tickets which I have kept with me.

I started my journey from Chandigarh to Delhi, i purchased a ticket from the current booking window of Rs.76 for Chandigarh to New delhi by Train No.2654 (KERALA SAMPARK KRANTI EXPRESS) and i request to TTE to provide me a berth in a 3rd A/C if its available, there was a 2 nos. of lady TTE who charged me Rs.325/- and provided me an Excess fare ticket No.971254 later i new that i realised that this train is going to kerala via Panvel(Nearest station to New bombay) so i decided to move till Panvel so i again make request to TTE that i want an extension upto Panvel and a berth if available, the TTE charged me Rs.1020/- and provided me a an Excess fare ticket No.971771 and allotted me a berth No.
B-1:45 against a cancelled berth.
But after reaching New delhi railway station the TTE changed the another TTE Mr.V.Prasad came to the coach and after from New delhi railway station the train was full by a pessengers.After a few minutes a TTE Mr.V.Prasad started to check the tickets and he came to me with another pessenger and informed me this is not your berth, i shocked !!! I said sir this is my extension ticket and the earlier TTE has alloted me a berth, he roudly told me "i dont know any thing, you have to vacant the seat, you go and complaint to railway board".
I said that is a later stage what to do now, he so roudly said "that is not my look-out"even he was not ready to show the other passengers ticket and when i told him that my name have been mentioned in you pessenger chart by earlier TTE then he cancelled my name from the chart by red pen and said now go from here.
The journey from New Delhi to Kota i spent near the minor seat available near the Wash basin.After kota the TTE realised that this man is in mood of making a complaint than he told me you can travel on my seat and he arranged another seat for me to avoid any complaint in future, but then also i was not satisfied coz the time i spent from New Delhi to kota and the insult he made against the other passenger was horrible.

Today at 8.00 am I visited nizamuddin rilway station and entered the plat form. I find some elderly lady moving inside station checking the tickets. The rude behaviour and ill treatment to the commutters while checking the tickets hurt me. Can the railways authority revive the system by educating them. The police posted their are acting only as spectactors.Railway should employ only educated persons well trained to keep the intigrate of passengers please. Senior citixen lady's should not be deployed in the public domain.

After having suffered I am writing for your kind intervention and essential action to stop suffering of the other youths/public who travel for overnight journey in DURONTO express/2290 from Nagpur to Mumbai CST.
I am basically from Mumbai and occasionally travel to Nagpur. I fear to travel again due to inconvenience caused happened during journey by DURONTO express/2290 which leaves Mumbai station @ 7:55 AM
The reason being that when we ask for a berth allotment in DURONTO express the Indian Railway charges extra amount ranging from 50 to 75 rs., irrespective of the fact that the train is nonstop/super fast and got an option of the preferable food (veg/non veg) while online booking thru IRCTC.
We were (5 of my friends) running short of time and wasn’t aware about the fact (since IRCTC asked for favourable food while book ticket online) that “Pantry bogie is NOT present in DURONTO express and there in NO facility of Dinner”, straight away went IN to our bogie ( s1- 50, 51, 53, 55, 56 and AB1-60 on Monday 12 April 2010) and made our entire night like hell. We had nothing to eat inside the train since we didn’t pack anything for the overnight journey.
The same happened to one more traveller on 28th January 2010 and he had written a mail to you but no actions were taken care.
Agree that DURONTO express is less time consuming train compares to others and good for overnight journey but my only request is to, kindly include Pantry Bogie or arrange some snacks in Non Stop trains. Else provide all the necessary details while book a online ticket thru IRCTC. The option for preferable food (Online booking) has to be removed for trains those are running without Panty Bogies. Because all your efforts go in Vain when such instances keep on occurring with other travellers.

Indian Railways — Against Railway TTE
I had gone to book a ticket from current reservation counter in Rajdhani express train today for my father and brother from Guwahati to NJP . There was seats available in the train and when the ticket counter was about to give me the ticket , a tt named KR RAMBIR CHAUHAN approached me and said , sir - why are you taking tickets till NJP and paying Rs 680 ticket fare .Come with me and sit in coach B-5 .i will take you in just Rs 500 per passenger ..this is really strange .. i am a frequent traveller also from delhi to guwahati and guwahati to delhi in rajdhani express and every time , i see passenger travelling without ticket in rajdhani and the TT taking them without ticket till any destination and earning good handsome money ..But today when i saw that the tt has come near the ticket counter and asking passenger not to take the ticket , then i thought that it is extreme now and i should atleast let the top officials of railway know of it ..Severe action should be taken against the TT - Kr Rambir Chauhan ...ThanksCancel my credit card application process.
