[Resolved]  Indian Railways — Bike booked thru parcel service not delivered even after 15 days.

Hi,

I have booked a parcel (A Hero Honda splendor) thru railways parcel service on 28th April 2008. (Bill number B 576493) at Pune Railway station. It was to send from Pune to Chennai.

At the time of booking external agencies were asking for extra money to sent that on the same day. But I denied saying that I would pay only the money which is determined by railway. I booked the parcel and I was told that it will be sent in next two days.

I had to travel to Bangalore after two days and hence I told my friend to check the status after two days. As the vehicle did not reach Chennai even after two weeks he checked it today and found that it is still lying in the platform, while all other vehicles booked along with this has been sent.

This is clearly a revenge taken for not paying the extra money that they asked for.

Could you please check the status?

Indian Railway — Bike booked not received till date

Dear sir,

It is to inform you that I have booked my hero honda CBZ bike from Jharsuguda JSG (orissa) station for bhopal BPL on 30.01.2010.It was suppose to reach bhopal on 04.02.2010 through puri jodhpur express (since it is the only direct train from JSG to BPL).Bike was loaded in train on 03.02.2010 from jharsuguda.But due to carelessness of railway dept. they sealed the parcle boggi for jodhpur JU.Due to parcle officer did not opned the seal of boggi and the bike carry overd to JU.

I asked railway parcle dept. of bhopal to confirm me about exact position of bike,but the typical sarkari officer said that "we have passed the information to Jhodpur, we will inform you when we will get the details."
Although he has taken my ph no.,but he denied to give his no. He said it is his personel no and sarkari phone is not working.
Till today i have not received my bike.
Please help to locate if you can.

Indian Railway Staff Are good For nothing, In our state The Station manager don't have to contact numebr of railway authority. In our town at collector office they use to higher a data entry operator at 2500 fix monthly. they Also are having some sense of humour. but this railway & Post will never grow up. At the time of booking external agencies were saying this will be dilvered by tomorrow . As the vehicle did not reach at new Delhi station even after two days .

I Booked My New Bike Bajaj Pulsar on 07/02/10 from Jaipur to Abu road ...

I dont get my bike till now ... from 8 days i am waiting and waiting ...

No body giving me proper information ..

I dont know where my bike lying ...

As information given by Jaipur Railway Station, They sent bike from Barelly Bhuj Train 4321 ..

But Abu road Staff not collected that time and bike move to forward station ..

Abu road staff given me excuse that time that they not collected due to full load...



But what can i do now ?

My Bike is misplaced now ?
I am going daily to station to ask and gathered information but no body able to give me proper information ..

We have booked our publication named Vanitha(H) for 23 bundles(920 copies) to our agent Mr.Mukund Parekh at Raipur by Korba Express(Train No:6328) for Kottayam on 08/03/2010 under RR.No:376226.But these bundles were not reached there till now.It will cause a big financial loss and affect our sales also.Please take this case as serious and do the needful at the earliest.

RAILWAY PARCEL DEPARTMENT IS FULL OF CURRUPTION..NOBODY IS THERE TO STOP IT...

I have to sent my two wheeler from ahmedabad to jaipur and same kind of agents asking me for the same;as you have experienced;and i denied.then what tragic thing happen there is interesting...i proceed to parcel officer and he was not listening to me properly instead he was engaging in the conversation with that agent.as i told him againa nd again he calculated (with the help of that agent, ofcourse) and told me the figure around Rs.700/- for local train fair for the parcel.as i asked ..how many days it will take to reach the destination;he replied..very rudely..that...he dont know..and may be it take a week to reach there...

meanwhile the agent came to me and whispered that he can help me in this case for Rs.850/- and he will deliver my vehicle within 3 days...i agreed as no other option was there., , and agent did all procedure..and gave me receipt...and what i saw the amount written on it... was Rs.370/- only.

then i got hte whole messy thing that the parcel officer also involved with all this drama.agent took Rs480/- more...to its real far...
i think railway..should..make parcel system as transperance as online ticket booking...i think...and should publicit the awareness regarding how and where to go for parcel booking etc...

Hello Everyone... I booked my bike (Yamaha Gladiator) by train from Madurai to Kacheguda last Friday 02 April 2010...It is supposed to reach here(Kacheguda) by 04 April 2010...But they dint receive my bike...When I enquired about my bike they told that they couldn't unload my bike due to full load...they sent my bike to forwarding station...But I dont know where my bike is at present...Daily i am enquiring railway station about this matter...But I dont get proper response...Please friends give me some valuable suggestions to get my bike...

To all sufferers who made a post:

Finally I got my bike after 14 days of continuous effort..I just prepared a complaint and asked the chief parcel delivery section officer to sign in that complaint.But he refused to do so and confirmed me that next day he will get my bike...So I was about to head to Station Master...But Unfortunately next day when I went there, I saw my bike...

So friends don't lose hope..Make a complaint and move to the senior authority.Hope you will get your missing parcel soon..
