[Resolved]  Irctc — Tatkal Booking

I have been trying to book tickets from Bangalore to Chennai through IRCTC site on 23.12.10 and 24.12.10. Though the site says that booking is available from 8.00 am, it is impossible to gain entry before 8.45am. By that time, all the tickets available through Tatkal are already booked and only wait listed seats are available. I have faced similar situations before also. One would like to know as to how these seats are booked except with the connivance of railway officials especially in a computerised environment. The railway minister it seems is oblivious to reality and has no time for such trivials. I hope she gets elected to the WB assemble asap and vacates the seat in favour of some efficient minister. Is is possible to get an answer through this site?

I hate IRCTC site, have never succeeded in booking tatkal tickets....click the search button @ 8AM and take your shower & breakfast, you will get the results @ 8:30AM with all the tickets sold out.

Concern please take proper action against IRCTC...

www.irctc.co.in remain down in early hours of Tatkal Booking. This is a regular problem. Due to this we are not able to plan our travel in emergency. This problem was also telecasted in News channel about 2 months back. Then this problem was suspended for a short duration. Now again we are facing same problem.
Please do the needful as soon as possible.

Past 2 days, i've been trying to book Tatkal tickets. But it just doesn't work.
Site starts working properly around 08:30 but by that time all the tickets are gone.
I think it is a deliberate attempt to slow down the server so that Agents can work with Reservation counters and make more money. The person at the reservation counter also gets his cut.

So no wonder then that, if you pay 500/- per ticket extra to the travel agent, he'll get you the tatkal tickets.

On top of it, IRCTC has stopped the tatkal services till 09:00 am from all the third party providers like NGPAY, Cleartrip. And these guys run much faster than IRCTC.

To me it looks like a scam.

within 22 seonds all tickets were booked and there were REGRET/WL1 status...

I have tried to book a ticket in West Coast Express on 18/01/2015 under the Tatkal Quota. The date of Journey was supposed to be 19/01/2015. As per the system, Tatkal tickets can be booked only 24 hours prior to the journey but I was offered tickets for travel on 20.01.2015. I did not notice this change in date as it is assumed that the tatkal quota ticket availability will be only for 19.01.2015 considering the 24 hour time frame. I booked the tickets and then found that the date Of journey was 20.01.2015 instead of 19.01.2015. As per the IRCTC Rules, no refund will be provided for confirmed tickets under the Tatkal quota but how did they permit me to book the ticket beyond the 24 hour time frame. I kindly request a full refund. Please let me know what are the information that will be required from my end regarding this issue.
Today is the third time i have tried for tatkal booking and every time i have failed. The site has crashed everytime within 2-3 minutes . The best part of the site is that they will fail you and you wont even know .Even i[censored] enter security captcha right they will make it wrong and you have to login again and again .Out of 10 times i have enter captcha wrong they will make it wrong 9 times and they make that one time correct so that no one gets suspicous . This site is under a big conspiracy a normal citizen of india cant even book a tatkal ticket.
the site is always unavailable or the site is temporarily unavailable from 10:00 to 10:05 during tatkal ticket, so we are not able to book the ticket while the agent book the same ticket during that time and the charge 1500 extra for one ticket, kindly available the site for common person so we can also book the ticket.pls
I tried to book tatkal ticket on June 02, 2015 for the below train ( travel date June 03, 2015) but for 2A 3A and SL it is showing as REGRET/CKWL1 from morning 10 AM ( i kept on trying till evening but with no luck ) and even the BOOK NOW option is not coming . Not sure why it is not even showing the BOOK NOW button or was it that Tatkal Quota was not opened for this train ?
