IRCTC - RAIL TICKET BOOKING — IRCTC SERVER DOWN DURING TATKAL BOOKING
Last two days I found that IRCTC web site server down during TATKAL ticket booking. Server down during 08.00 am to 08.45 hrs and all TATKAL tickets sold out than server running normally.This is a doubtful process and media serch the truch !

Error in online tatkal booking on irctc, co, in
My Pnr status is [protected] .
I was booking a tatkal ticket for Aligarh Jn to Lucknow (2nd AC) in Gomti express on 11/02/2012 for my journey on 12/02/2012.at 2.15 pm Ur site showed availability of 4 tickets while i was booking the ticket.It was still showing an error and when I checked the booking history it is not showing the booked ticket . Than again I was tried and booked the tatkal ticket i proceeded to secure payment via atm card.Then after I while I got a message Congratulations your booking is successful but after 4-5 hours i get a massage on my mobile to conform two times for same jeurny with pnr no [protected] .so i have paid two times for two diffrant ticket for single jurney
Please look into the matter.I want to cancel the one ticket(pnr no [protected]) but won't like to loose any money as it was not my fault.

i was booking 4 tatkal tickets on 16/03/2012 from new delhi to jammu in jhelum express dated 18/03/2012, while making payment an error occured. i haven't got ticket but ticket amount ( Rs1200 something) is deducted from my bank. kindly send my amount back to me.

I was booking 1 tatkal tickets on 21/07/2012 from nagpur to pune for GARIBRATH express dated 22/07/2012, while making payment an error occured. i haven't got any message but ticket amount ( Rs778/) is deducted from my bank. what should i understand?, is it booked or have to go to the station to see on the preparation chart.My mobile no is[protected].while processing on the tatkal window i write down track id no.

I was booking a tatkal ticket from Valliyur to Madras Egmore (3rd AC) in Ananthapuri Express on 11/02/2013 for my journey on 12/02/2013.at 12.45 pm. Ur site showed availability of 38 tickets while i was booking the ticket. After deduction of money from my SBI Account, after 10 minutes the system did not produce ticket but came out with Error 200. When I checked the booking history it did not show the booked ticket . Then again I tried and booked the tatkal ticket for the same journey and I made payment via Credit card. I have got the message through phone for PNR No. [protected] immediately. Now again when I went for the history for checking the PNR, aother ticket for the previous Bank Transaction with PNR [protected] has been booked for the same two persons for the same train for the same date. But for the PNR No. [protected] I have not yet received the SMS also so far. So I have paid two times for two different ticket for the same single journey
Please look into the matter. I want to cancel the one ticket with PNR no [protected]. I dont want to lose money because of your slow and sluggish website. Kindly do the needful and arrange to refund the money please as it was not my fault.

IRCTC — Account Disabling n Tatkal booking
I have an IRCTC account which is locked second time.When i tried to reset the password through forget password link, it asks User id, question and Answer. I provided all the details and it throws an error "Answer is Incorrect". This happend second time and both the times i tried to login through the actual password.
I sent an email at [protected]@irctc.co.in and got an automated email as Ticket Confirmation for the request.
I waited for a week and there was no response from IRCTC customer care. I called them up on 24 Hrs. Customer Support at[protected] and it took about 12 calls to make them understand about the issue. When ever i called up the customer support the person attnding the call will redirect me to someone else after listening to my detail and again i need to explain whole story, inshort that was waste of time and money.
IRCTC should hire service and satisfaction oriented support executives so that it a common man has no pain of wasting time and money.
Another issue with IRCTC is its very difficult to book a TATKAL ticket from Source of Boarding to destination.
According to the new rules of indian railway a person can book Tatkal ticket from the Actual Boarding station to the destination.
For example i tried to book the ticket on 6614 Coimbtore Exp (Coimbtore to Rajkot) from salem to pune. Train starts on thursday at 23:45 from Coimbtore and reaches Salem on 2nd day i.e friday. according to the Tatkal booking one should book a ticket 2 days prior to the date of journey it means for this train ticket should be booked on tuesday. It was not allowing me to book a ticket from Salem to Pune because it reaches Salem on 2nd day and tatkal ticket can be booked only 2 day in advance.
When called customer care an executive explained me that there are different different quota for each station and train reaches salem on 2nd day, so i must book a ticket on wednesday and not on tuesday. When i tried to make him understand about the rule of tatkal quota but he was not ready to listen.
