[Resolved]  IRCTC Website — Pathetic Service

Whenever I try booking tickets on IRCTC in tatkal quota, the website doesn't open up and even if it does, I am unable to book tickets because of the immense load on the website.

By the time the website opens up, no tickets are available anymore. This is due to the strong "agent" network that is functional throughout the country.

Some steps must be taken to stop these agents from taking away all the tickets and selling them for their own profit.

It's just a shame that IRCTC is not taking any steps to stop these crooks. SHAME ON IRCTC !!!

who sees these compliants ? I dont think anyone sees. This is just to make mockery of the public.

The chances of booking tickets from Tatkal quota are zero. Hey irctc, are you making fool of the public. I wake up early and make to a browsing center to book tickets on tatkal. You spoil whole of my mood.
I have been using this site from since 2 years. I havent seen an improvement till now.

Better time to switch to good service providers. I think your site managers are technically dumb, just like the government officials. SHAME ON YOU to make fool of public and delivering such a wonderful and pathetic service.
irctc has not been working for the last few years between 8 and 8.30 am ist on any day for tatkal. it is impossible to book a tatkal ticket during this time. Loooks like they awarded this contract of developing the website to a company that does understand the terms reliability, availability, scalability. Pathetic. Pls looke at yahoo, google or any of these too see how to handle a million hits
THE SERVICE OFFERED TO ME BY IRCTC TILL TODATE AS AND WHEN I WAS IN NEED WAS EXCELLENT. A RECENT REFUND FOR MY UNTRAVELLED TICKET AFTER A MONTH OF ONE MONTH IS MY LATEST EXPERIENCE. THAT MEANS THE OVERALL ADMINISTRATION OF IRCTC IS SATISFACTORY. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM FACED BY THE COMPLAINEE IS GENUINE, LIKE SOMETIMES I CANNOT DO BOOKING FROM ICICI ON LINE NET BANKING. HENCE, THE ADMINISTRATORS NEEDS TO REALLY LOOK INTO THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF THE COMPLAINT AND IS REQUESTED TO COME OUT WITH GENUINE SOLUTION. AT THE SAME TIME THE JOB DONE BY IRCTC IS WORTH APPRECIATING AND INDIAN RAILWAY CAN BE REALLY PROUD OF IT.
IRCTC is totally waste site Indian railway should through it away and launch their own portal
i am trying to book tatkal ticket thru this site. its now alomost 1 hour, web site is running extremely slow..even i am getting login page in 5 mins. when i hit submit after filling login credentials, after 5 mins, it says service unavailable. what kind of service is this. i am experiencing this from last 6-7 months that web site doesnt work properly. even my friends talk the same. i sent many mails to IRCTC, their usual answer is-delete history, clear your cache, cookies etc. why they are not serious to resolve such serious issues. is IRCTC listening..? why the web site is still not improved..i see hell lot of complaints..why such ignorace from IRCTC officials..
