[Resolved]  Karma Royal Resorts — Cheating innocent visitors coming to Goa

By this piece of complaint I want to warn unsuspected travellers who waste their precious holiday time and are being cheated by this so called cheat comapny called Karma Royal Group. <br />
The modus operandi is that travellers moving aroung Goa on Holidays are approached by their agents (whom they themself call kidnapper) giving lure of prize vouchers containg false promises on free stay, ipod, restaurant vounchers, boating trips etc. They convince the unsuspected travellers that they are just promoting their resorts and want to publicise the same by providing free stays etc. and would like to take them to show the resort .<br />
Once the traveller who has come to Goa on holiday by spending money on travel and hotels etc. falls into their trap of free stay and other instant prizes to be given and agrees to come along with them, he is picked by the kidnapper and taken to their resort. <br />
Once you are there, without any consideration their actors just start playing drama introducing different persons and you are made to sit with your entire family for listening their non-stop commentary on resorts, time share plans, how you are wasting your life without joing them and other type of brain washing exercises. After 2-3 hours of non stop commentaries by different digfferent persons they start presurrising you to agree to take their membership which costs 3-4 lakhs.<br />
The real colous appear when you refuse to take that and asks for the prizes promised. Than comes some bouncer type persons in picture who would inform you that you are not entitled for any of the instant prizes and you should just take a voucher, which you obviously would not be able to use and leave.<br />
If you demand your promised prize they imkeditaely start misbehaving.<br />
By the time you learn your mistake you had already lost your one day for which you had paid money to your hotel and you had come so far away from your home to enjoy holidays.<br />
Despite being aware of such cheats I myself became their victim when they assured me that I should just listen to their resort promotion for one hour and I would be provided free stay immediately after that, than and there.<br />
But when I demanded the assured prize I was told restaurent is closed, boat trip timings are over, free stay only with 2 months advance booking and like that. That bugger became so rude and abusive when I started protesting.<br />
So beware of Karma Royal Group and its fraudsters moving around Goa. <br />
You can imagine what kind of service this CHEAT KARMA ROYAL GROUP might be providing to its members.

guysss as i am a very happy member of karma royal group, from 2010 they have been delivering all the promises that were made, one of the best holiday company according to me and whomsoever has written are non members i think...and the presentation they do is very good no one forced me to buy ownership the staff was very good

I totally disagree with this every company has thier own marketing strategies and probably this works well with them. I have been a member of karma group and its benefits are amazing. It might have been a bad experience to you that doesn't mean you post such defaming comments about it to tamper with its reputation. Everything has its advantage and disadvantages so let the ones who are benefiting from it have its perks. And those who are getting an opportunity make the best of it.
These fellows are great cheaters. I have lost rs. 30000 as advance. When I asked them that I did not want the membership and I have not use any of your facility so pl. refund my money after deducting whatsoever is your penalty. but they refused and started to avoid to pick my phone also. Pl. let me know whether there is any procedure to take back the money.
I paid the money by debit card in last june.

i am cheakted and they have charged 39200/-

and now i am reading all this and i found myself stupid.

i dont know whether they will refund or not. if not then i will go legal for that.
In reference to my earlier complaint, I am pleased to say that I have no more issues against Royal Resorts, All my queries have been satisfactorily resolved.
Even I got the call from Karma Resorts lady(as we were planning for a vacation in goa) saying we have a promotional scheme where u have to pay just 5000 Rupees for 3 nights and 4 days stay. She asked me to do online payment. I was just trapped by them. but when I was on the verge to do the payment, I realized that something is wrong. Because she told me to go to a website and told me a booking id to enter, without asking my details and manually put 5000 in second column and to do a payment then. I was confused that even though they have generated the booking ID for me, even then on entering the booking ID, the screen should reload or something to confirm my name, date of booking etc, she told this is just payment website. Then I typed on google "Is karma royal group genuine?" and then I got this link. Thanks a lot to the person who created this post and gave worthy information.

I am also cheated for Rs31900/- I have attached receipt.

Mr. Arif and Mr. Rahul whose claimed to be staff of Karma pulled me into this trap.

I dont want to continue with the membership, I need the refund. if not then i will go legal for that.

Hi. We did go through all the demonstrations etc last year and won a free stay voucher too. This year, they started calling us and reminded that we are due for a vacation though we did not buy any packages from them. All we have to pay is 5k which we are assured that we can utilize that amount in food etc. I really have nothing to say except what I am going with which is OK. Though I never saw any bouncers even after demonstration.
This is not totally correct.I also went with my husband to attend their session and they said that we won a free
holiday trip in their resort for 1 week and after that they had given some presentation and all to take their resorts membership.But they were not forcing us.their behavior was normal even after we said that we don't want their membership.And then we came back to our hotel with the gift coupon.
And Next year we again went to Goa and stayed in royal karma resort for one week free of cost.In that one week they took our whole one day again in their presentation and discussion for the membership.But its worth if they have given 7 day free stay at their resort they can take few hours. Finally we took Royal Karma membership.And its worth cheaper than other resorts membership and they have amazing villa style resorts all over world.

We also got trapped by this karma Royal group fellows yesterday evening.We were literally hijacked to their Resort in Goa near Baga beach.We were on the way to beach to enjoy the last day of our Goa trip. This guys told it will take only one hour after which they will scratch the gift coupon and you will be that luck winner of I pad/camera/ etc. absolutely free .We were almost sure that the coupon will be a gift voucher to stay in their resorts for everybody which is an another trap .As we had a similar experience with another club we realised they are wasting our time after one hour of patient hearing. By the moment we raised our concerns like getting dark and not yet gone to beach yet and already exceeded one and half hour, they started showing their real faces. From my experience, I don't thing they will value our hard earned money and time in future from their behaviour yesterday.

Hi,

I don't understand why people scream after doing a mistake. When you are given a gift by some unknown there is always a reason behind it. All those who are complaining are not kids.

I have been a member of Karma Royal Club for an year and I took this membership because I have a flair of exploring different places. I really must say that till today I have no regret taking this Membership. I have in this duration took four holidays three in India and One abroad but I faced no problems in booking etc.

I have a habit of planning the holidays in advance so if you book in advance you will face no problems at all.

And also I would like to mention that till date I have not utilised my original points but I have utilised the free gifts (CMP) Package they have provided.

I would also suggest that these types of Schemes are only good for people who want to holiday abroad.

Hi everybody,
i am british, and i'am afraid we have had this long before they got there claws into the indian people, we had this 14 years ago when they where the royal goen beach club, [you will see some of the old signs in goa when you go there, but they done it a diffirent way in them days.
They did not offer gifts has such but they used to chase you up when you where staying in a beach club.
But you don't get what you have asked or paid for, to be honest if i told you what has gone on
here over the years i would be here all night, stay well away believe you me, in time you will regret it.
Wait until you get sanjiv, its the same thing but changed the name of the company now, and are now oprating in europe, beware.

Well folks,
It was in 1994 that my wife and myself were approached in a some what similar fashion.We went to them, out of curiosity. We did take the membership by paying only Rs. 1000= which was all we had in pocket after 10 days in Goa. Since then we have been upgrading our membership from time to time. We have traveled to many places in India and abroad since then and have had THE MOST WONDERFUL HOLIDAYS EVERY TIME. We had gone to Bali with the families of my daughter and my son and the ten o[censored]s spent the most exquisite time together as a family. I can say that, out of the past 22 years we made use of our holiday time 18 or 19 times and were very well taken care of. The exchange holidays arranged by them for my children's families, friend's family and for us too, were very good.

I do agree that their agents MUST NOT use force to make you members, but let me assure you that you must experience some of the foreign companies in this business to realise how rude and overbearing they can be. My brother has such a terrible experience.

I am again going to spend 4 days at their Royal Palms Resort from the 20th. I will be talking to their senior management staff and will certainly discuss this with them. I can assure you that forgetting about the FREE GIFTS for which you tend to go to them, you should look at the service, facilities and the quality of holidays that they provide you with. If you do that you WILL BE AS HAPPY AS WE ARE FOR THE PAST 22 YEARS.

Guys please be careful.. Karma royal group pay people to put good reviews about their club. I was also approched by their customer service team but I totally refused because I had a very bad experience with them.

I somehow disagree with the complaints. We visited Goa in September 2016, & we were approached with the same modus operandi. We visited their resort, listened to their sales talk, had their refreshments & received a free week at their Kerala resort without joining as members. In fact, all the staff members who interacted with us were very polite & professional. Just understand guys, they are just doing their job. Nobody is putting a gun to your head to sign up as a member.
This all took just 2 hours & I think it was wisely invested as we walked out with 7 free days stay.
So why complain?

I have face same fraud in Goa on 17Feb 2017, they consume my 4 important hours, they are cheater, if you have purchase the membership plan after some time you find that they have very less resorts in around the world.
