[Resolved]  Karma Royal Resorts — Cheating innocent visitors coming to Goa

By this piece of complaint I want to warn unsuspected travellers who waste their precious holiday time and are being cheated by this so called cheat comapny called Karma Royal Group. <br />
The modus operandi is that travellers moving aroung Goa on Holidays are approached by their agents (whom they themself call kidnapper) giving lure of prize vouchers containg false promises on free stay, ipod, restaurant vounchers, boating trips etc. They convince the unsuspected travellers that they are just promoting their resorts and want to publicise the same by providing free stays etc. and would like to take them to show the resort .<br />
Once the traveller who has come to Goa on holiday by spending money on travel and hotels etc. falls into their trap of free stay and other instant prizes to be given and agrees to come along with them, he is picked by the kidnapper and taken to their resort. <br />
Once you are there, without any consideration their actors just start playing drama introducing different persons and you are made to sit with your entire family for listening their non-stop commentary on resorts, time share plans, how you are wasting your life without joing them and other type of brain washing exercises. After 2-3 hours of non stop commentaries by different digfferent persons they start presurrising you to agree to take their membership which costs 3-4 lakhs.<br />
The real colous appear when you refuse to take that and asks for the prizes promised. Than comes some bouncer type persons in picture who would inform you that you are not entitled for any of the instant prizes and you should just take a voucher, which you obviously would not be able to use and leave.<br />
If you demand your promised prize they imkeditaely start misbehaving.<br />
By the time you learn your mistake you had already lost your one day for which you had paid money to your hotel and you had come so far away from your home to enjoy holidays.<br />
Despite being aware of such cheats I myself became their victim when they assured me that I should just listen to their resort promotion for one hour and I would be provided free stay immediately after that, than and there.<br />
But when I demanded the assured prize I was told restaurent is closed, boat trip timings are over, free stay only with 2 months advance booking and like that. That bugger became so rude and abusive when I started protesting.<br />
So beware of Karma Royal Group and its fraudsters moving around Goa. <br />
You can imagine what kind of service this CHEAT KARMA ROYAL GROUP might be providing to its members.

This has happened with me too.

We had got an email for cheap hotel packages and many good packages for Karma Royal resorts in Goa. We had happily booked the package as it was very cheap.

When we reached the resort in Goa, during the second last day of our stay, we were called by one of their so called 'agents' who took us to some other resort of theirs and provided us with free transport and food. When we reached there, the agent did not allow us to leave and wasted 5-6 hours of our time. He was not letting us leave until we took the membership. So we had to pay Rs. 40000 and take their membership. They also made us sign a contract. The next day, we understood our mistake and cancelled our membership legally and the group did not refund our 40000. They say we have to stay in their hotels for some days to use that amount. So happy we did not waste a lot of money for this scam company.

Guys, Karma Royal group are scamsters. Beware and take action!

I wasted 1 day of my holiday in Goa yesterday and but learnt so many things about vacation ownnership, how it works and whether to go for it or not ... One thing that helped save me was the fact that at the start of the meeting I told him clearly that... I CANNOT MAKE A FUNAL DECISION ON THE TABLE... Though 4 hours we wasted were truely grilling, I managed to get 7 days holiday voucher in Kerala. It requires 2 months prior booking but lets hope, we will get it 🙂

I totally agree the above comment...me and my family was on this 4 day trip to goa..and we were cheated the same way as they did to many o[censored]...i was so disappointed..the moment u refuse to buy their scheme...they treat u like beggars...as i[censored] r there only to buy their so called gift...come on we all r from good families...and If we cn afford to stay in a place like goa for 4 days...m sure we cn afford a btr gift than wat these fellows provide...the thing is ..they waste our time..one hour presentation took any 4 hours...and their so called manager...a lady named ghazala...was so rude and illiterate..she doesn't have the basic manner how to talk to people...she clearly told the rep who was explaining...while we were sitting right infront of her..that pls send them away and give them the gifts..
As if we were some beggars sitting there and begging for something...is this how u behave...??? And u call urself a part of Asia's best resort bla bla...and u urself cudnt provide a good service...basic manners atleast...u first of all call people...take away their valuable time and then treat them like this...wat do u gain out of all this???? John Spence must be really a foolish to hire u people as his marketing team. I pity u guys...go get a life!!!

After reading all the reviews/comments, i myself have become victim of this nuisance. Last month i was holidaying with my family at Goa. We are the members of club mahindra. Suddenly we found Karma Club agents luring club mahindra members for karma club scheme. I was first given voucher to scratch and when i scratched it, it was "try again" however he gave another voucher to my wife and when she scratched it, it was " you are the winnner" and you could win either of Samsung Phone, Ipod, Digital Camera or 7 days stay at their any Karma Resorts in India. But for this you have to visit their Goa resort for 1hr session. Initially they were very cooperative however when they started the so called [censored], it went on for 2 hrs. It was here where I lost my patience. I just informed them that we were called for 1 hr and it has gone for 2+ hrs, we are not interested. He started behaving rude and when my wife asked for the winning they asked us to wait for a moment. the moment was about 20 minutes. then they ask you to again scratch the coupon to find out the actual award won among those 4. however to my no surprise it was 7 day holiday only. Now yesterday suddenly i received a courier from Karma Club with their membership card and complimentary voucher worth USD 300. On what basis have they sent this. Absolutely rubbish. Have just sent them the mail and awaiting their response. Cheapest way of marketing their product.

And we hate the fact every time we stay at the Bali royal Bali we are constantly being asked by your sales people about changing or time share as our dose not exist anymore as we have a week a year . we were also lured into this scheme on our visit to Karma Royal Resorts Jaipur in 2014. they wasted 4-5 hours of our time and sold us the membership.

as we purchased this in Dec 2014, we ended up paying management charge in January 2015. we have been unable to avail a single holiday till date.

They put up tall claims saying we need not pay even a rupee for the stay as there would be points which we can redeem. But when you call them for booking a place, they say it is mandatory to take 6-7 nights stay and quote a ridiculous amount that we need to pay upfront for the booking.

i have tried doing a booking 3 times and failed, customer services takes your call and promises to revert with the resort options...but they never revert.

when we requested for RCI affiliated property (Munnar) ...they did not respond for 4 weeks post which one customer care person called with some other offer that was happening in Goa...when i questioned them about my earlier request the person apologized saying he/she was not aware of this.

it is very frustrating to have invested so much money and not avail a single holiday. the sales representative promised free holidays and different destinations but when we call customer care...they say it is not so.

now they have sent a reminder for management service charge for 2018 :( :(
I am also one of the victim and got trapped at Baga beach 2 days back, They are cheating innocent visitors coming to Goa for assured free prizes i.e. i pod, mobile phone and free stay for a week .I also lost my valuable time of 4 hours and money Rs. 5500 + 2000 (cab), which is also not refundable.Thank you so much for tat information. One should be aware of such cheaters of Karma royal group.
I totally agree with Rajkumar and all the other fellow deceived travellers. My wife and my wife were enjoying our trip in goa and was approached by the guy on a bike and assured of all these free gifts, etc. He said it will take only 60 min and you need to take a tour of the property, that's all. We told we are really busy and that it was our last night in goa and we could not make. However he insisted and assured that it would not take more than an hour. I agree with the so called happy members of the Karma Group that it is the method or technique of such time share group to lure people like this. However i call it cheating and a total waste of time of the travellers who have come to take a break from their hectic work life and enjoy a well deserved holiday in Goa. They made us sit for almost 3 hrs. After the inital 1.5hrs itself, we started protesting and wanted to leave. However then one manager comes and then another comes and they all try different marketing strategies to convince you. Finally when we didnt show any interest they started to behave rudely.

If they are a genuine group with a good plan, then why are they resorting to such cheap methods. They should be clear and inform the travellers before itself of the modus operandi. They should inform that it would take such a long duration and that they will be a membership fee that needs to be paid to enjoy the benefits. If someone is genuinely interested than they would be join or else they will move on with life instead of cursing you guys.

Also they had informed that so called special special once in a life time offer was valid only on that day. But after reading so many comments here, i have realized that this "never before never after', "once in a lifetime offer", special price is valid throughout the year. Then why the heck do they insist on a on the spot payment or else we will not be eligible to become a member of such a elite and creme de la creme group.

There is something similar operating with a new name Club Resorto Hospitality Ltd, operating from Gurgaon. The web site is www.clubresorto.com.
They also send sms stating you are Invited for a dinner FREE for a couple Today at 7pm at Hotel xxxx, Name of city. by Club Resorto Grab your Entry Pass Call [protected]...

Absolutely right
Karma Royal is a big scammer. It gave a free 7 day accommodation voucher to every family that attended their seminar which suppose to last about 1 hour but end up taking more than half a day.
Worse the voucher was never honoured accordingly.

My sister tried to redeem the voucher via email, she had to pay a non-refundable $60 booking fee and 3% of the normal room rate. Plus must agree to be given a substitute hotel should the rooms were fully booked and must reconfirm the booking within 2 weeks of arrival date.
Within 2 weeks before arrival she reconfirmed the booking only to be told that no room was available. Instead a $20/night substitute hotel was booked for her.

I met with an agent of karma royal group at Candolim beach yesterday and he gave me one coupan & told to open it, best luck for next time mentioned on the card. He suddenly open 2 more card but the same result. There was one last card in his hand as mentioned by him, he gave in hand of wife & told to open her, he souted congrats mam, you are lucky & winner. We will send u taxi tommorrow for pickup & drop from ur hotel, do not come with purse or cash but credit card & one ID proof just as term of gift coupan. We are promoting our group on 24th anniversary & 1.5 cr. spending on it. 4 offers were in the coupan ipad, luxury stay worth 30K., play station portable & smart watch. You would require to scratch ur star prize in hotel only else void if removed. He will definitely call me today, thanks u saved us. One more thing need to notice, they have team & follow you to know ur regional language & agent may be native o[censored]r own state for better dialogue & emotional connect that you would not be cheated.

We signed up few months before for the 30 year membership PLATINUM T1 RED (all seasons/4 adult+2kid stay, 1BHK) 165 points alternate year @ USD 7500 (25% to be paid in Cash (1500 U$ already paid) and bal. 75% in 60 EMIs @ 140U$ and AMC USD 250 p.a. (presently, which will go up as per inflation..) (obviously very impulsively and no time to do online research on spot @ Hathimahal Goa). Would be great if anyone can advise regarding how best to utilize the membership and about hidden charges (if any) that are not communicated in the presentation. Would be really grateful for the same!

Is above prices are reasonable and correct for Indian buyers or I was overcharged by Karma marketing team..( I found 1 B/R Red Karma RGBC resale price is USD 5100/- on www.timeshareresortsindia.in)

As points are in alternate years, so how can we get 7 days/year free accommodation around the globe at Karma properties ?

Also I saw same 165 points in white and blue category timeshare rights with higher room size SILVER T2 WHITE & PLATINUM T2 BLUE etc, so confused how can mine will be RED T1 category, as same also not clearly mentioned in the contract..

Can we sell to anyone this membership timeshare rights at any point of time i.e. after 1 year/5 years or even after 25 years?

My Loan EMIs has not started yet, as I need to pay min. 25% of total cost before Fin. company starts EMI as per loan agreement executed dated June 2019, so should we continue or how..please guide..

Once my Membership activated from Dec 2019 (after payment of 4 EMIs by financing company), will I really able to avail promised benefits ? like. hot deals/ odyssey exchanges/ bonus weeks/ late breaks/Cruise [protected]@ disc. prices/ 2 free holiday weeks @100U$/week, 1 @India & [protected]@Vietnam or Thailand

Will we be able to get all seasons (including x'mas/new years/Diwali etc.) karma resort booking confirmations throughout the year, as promised or always no vacancy replies ?

One of my friend just informed, he has purchased 30 year timeshare membership 2 years back from Country club India @ USD 3700 & AMC USD 80 p.a./1 week per year holiday !! (I felt cheated..)

Looking forward to all suggestions/feedback to make a wise and informed FINAL DECISION on this deal.
