[Resolved] LG - LCD TV - Jazz 32LG80fr — Delay in replacing the front panel cover of a brand new TV | |
Hi, On 16/10/2009, as part of the Diwali Sale, I purchased an LG JAZZ 32LG80FR TV from GIRIAS LTD, Anna Nagar. The LG technician installed it on Oct 18th. But on the same day it was noticed that the front panel cover ( about 2" black plastic around the display area) was scratched. The technician who did the installation confirmed the same on Oct 19th and registered a call (Complaint No.S9CA1902042) for free replacement of the damaged part. I immediately received a promt SMS stating the problem will be rectified in 24 hrs ~ 7 days. But now it is more than 14 days and the problem has not be resolved. I had done several follow-ups both with LG and with the vendor ( GIRIAS) but everytime I am being told that the part is not available as yet. Looks like LG and the retailers have some special tie-ups to dispose off such damaged products in the name of 'festival sale' ! In addition in this TV, the Pciture Feature of 'Cinema' or 'User 1" or 'User 2" setting is not working. Everytime you change it to any of these, after 5 ~ 10 mins it gets reset to its default 'Vivid' mode. This also has been reported to both LG and GIRIAS. Complaint No. S9CA2900353. Still awaiting action. I wouldnt recommend this product nor the company - as both the product and the support is HORRIBLE. Was this information helpful? | |

In addition to the above, I have also registered for a 3 year warranty extension for the product. If this is the state of mine, imagine what it would be for others who are just with the default 1 year warranty.

32LG80FR — Replacement of LCD
I hv purchased 32LG80FR model of LCD TV. withg in four days the TV program was not coming. so complaint was logged to the dealear of LG and customercare but I did not get replacement of LCD for 15days. I dont know when i can get replacement of damaged /factory faulty LCD.
