[Resolved]  MakeMyTrip — Wrong Invoice/ Requisition for Refund

Greetings for the day…

im writing to complain against make my trip for deficiency in services, deliberately charging amount exceeding the total invoice value which amounts to fraud.

This concern is regarding my booking via make my trip from Delhi to Goa(return trip)

I booked the return tickets on 30th of Jan’11 from Delhi to Goa.

In the attached invoice amount paid by me is Rs. 26,542(sum) wherein the sum comes up Rs. 17,592. i was given one or the other reason for chharging me more than the total invoice amount
(Please refer to attached invoice).


I cancelled my booking from Goa to Delhi as the return ticket was wrongly booked for march instead of 8th february. When I spoke to makemytrip helpine number[protected] the executive told me that they can only refund the payments as per invoice details and he told he can’t refer to the sum. He told me that he can only refund a amount of Rs. 5000 only(approx). This is total injustice as the invoice was incorrect and the sum total was 17592 although they asked me to pay Rs 26542 via my HDFC credit card number 4346XXXXXXXX5827.

After that I called Go air team to cancel the tickets and they told me that I have paid the amount of Rs. 10,293(refer to attached document) for a trip from Goa to Delhi and after cancellation amount to be refunded is Rs. 8043.

Request you kindly intervene as how can invoice sent to the customers is incorrect.
I have paid an extra amount of Rs. (26,542-17,592) = Rs. 8950.

Also please consider the exact figures(i.e. Rs 10,293) as a fare from Goa to Delhi and refund me a amount of Rs. 8043.

So, in totallity im seeking your intervention to refund me a total of Rs 8950 + 8043. I was on my honeymoon and have faced so much of mental stress and felt insulted the way my case has been handled by makemytrip, hence i'm also seeking damages not less than Rs 50,000 from Makemytrip.

Also, i'm seeking the consumer forum to direct makemytrip to stop doing this business of fraudlently fleecing customers and consure forum should initiate legal/criminal proceedings against makemytrip.

i would not hesitate to approach the state tribunal to get justice.
