The Manager Customer Care Maruti Udyog Ltd. Dear Sir, Re: Non availability of spare- M/S Kiran Motors Pt. Ltd Surat I had purchased Zen Estilo on 15/10/2007 from M/S Kiran Motors Pt. Ltd. Surat. On 10 th instant the headlight was not found functioning. So on 11/07/2008 I went to the workshop of the above dealer. It was found that the switch in the steering wheel assembly was not functioning and needed replacement.( spare no-37400 M 67 K 50 as advised to me by the workshop ) I was told by the Manager of the workshop that they did not have spare No: 37400 M 67 K 50 .I was informed that it would take a week ( ? ) to get the spare from the factory. So, for a week I shall be compelled to drive my car without the headlight, which is very dangerous. I had stayed overseas during my job for a long time and had an excellent experience of the customer service. When Maruti claims it to be an international company is it the type of service I face from its dealer? Firstly, the dealer should have spare on hand, except the odd ones. Secondly, if the dealer does not have the spare can it not be sent by air when Surat has daily flight from N. Delhi ? Perhaps it is the question of customer sensitivity that plays the key role. I am approaching you with a view to get my problem solved in a matter of ½ days so that I can use my vehicle safely.
