[Resolved]  Microsoft Global Services India Limited — MGSI cheating Tech professionals with improper job title

MGSI, short form for Microsoft Global Services India Pvt Limited, at Hyderabad, India, advertises for Consultants, Sr. Consultants and Project Managers widely in major job portals. When one reads the JD, he/she will feel the power of the Microsoft and will apply. After you join the company(dont forget the hanky-panky interview process by unqualified and rough attitude 'employees'), you will be shocked to gauge your role. Technology folks, like Consultants and Sr. Consultants will get good oppertunity to learn and use new technology even before it bangs the market, however, those who get selected as Project Managers go through shock of life time. The Rectuiters dont tell anything specific of the scope of the job and you tend to get distracted by the M factor. My Cousin got so dejected to understand this after he was offered and he did not accept it later. Thank God he did not resign his old job. Beware!

I joined MGSI mid June and actually read the all the posts and comments in this chain. Its been over 2 months now and i can say all these comments against MGSI are baseless. I just want to echo with the above post which breaks the Myths with the detailed Facts. Its really a great place to work and definitely inlines with the standards of global Microsoft.

I really appreciate the correctness and details of the above post by 'mgsirocks' on 22nd June.
FACT: The attitude of the interviewer here are worth appreciation. They encourage you all through the interview process to know what's best in you. Even if you don't know the answer, here interviewers try to know what would be your strategy in such a situation when you don't know the exact answer. How you will convince your client in such a situation. Technical acumen is just some percentage of the total aptitude the interviewer look for in you. Other includes your confidence, communication, collaboration with your team, your value proposition to the team, your innovation style and more. I never had any round with Microsoft guys where they stopped asking question after first two questions, which is usual in other services company in India (why waste time attitude).

MGSI is an useless entity. Ir is missing the correct Leadership. There are several uselss people in MGSI Like Amit, Prakash Kundan, Mridul Bhanot, Ravi Mallela, some Lanks folk and entire leadership in MGSI is useless.

Do not Join MGSI...MGSI is the last employer any oe to choose.


Unless Microsoft Head choose to fire the existing leadership team immediately... It will not improve...

MGSI is poorly managed entity of Microsoft across the world

Really many useless people who drinks and come to work are also promoted as Engagement managers

Some people are titled very fashion way like Operations manager and CTO, Both should be fired now

I am not sure why Microsoft leadership team is not able to attract some of the best people available in Hyderabad to heard the services wing od Microsoft

It is the high time to save the reputation of Microsoft...Should hore best people now

I know recently one of my best friends Interviewed and she came told me that basic Interviewing sense was not there, It wa smore of an uselss questions and waste of time.

Nasscom should Immediately black list this organization and leadership with immediate effect.

MGSI is definitely spoining the Image of the company in India.

My View : There are many service based companies in Hyderabad (Global Inc's), they will expect anyone skill expertise and the salary also depends on your particular skill expertise.Where as in MGSI, its not like other Service based Orgs. here the consultants & Sr. Consultants are very high Skilled and Expertise in multiple skills and MS pays double & triple to the previous companies. and talking about Sr.Management, we can find one of the best Sr.Management in the Industry. They find the best clients only. They have best standards to select a client.They always think about the resource . CTO and his top management is the best.You must know that our client satisfaction rate is 98%. There are Pros & Cons in any ORG. If who wants always enjoy in the work place, its not the correct place to work. MGSI expects you to Work & Enjoy. We don't have the concept of bench, table, chair :) like other ORGs till now because resource utilization rate is 100% always. Thats what our Sr.Management. Many are talked about PDRM's, Engagement Managers & PM's. Here they are not the messengers between client & technical team like other service ORG's, they act as technical managers & they are the best in timely deliverables & they maintains the project Cost & resource best utilization & the best part is they are the most friendly to the technical team where you find the BOSS is BOSS in other Service ORG's.

MGSI is the best place to work. You can learn the Best technologies. Prove if i'm wrong the best.

Saw the post. I wonder if MGSI hr has posted above wonderful comments!!. MGSI is services wing of Microsoft and 'only' bears the name of Microsoft. Everything else is as good/bad as Indian IT services orgs. Its shame on the name of Microsoft.

Somebody commented after staying a year. No need to challenge/prove him wrong. I would recommend him to stay for more than couple of years and then revisit this page. Frustations really show up after a couple of years when you go deep into the political roots of MGSI. MGSI has amazing leadership team with top level politicians. They are getting ready to join parties like TDP/INC etc.

When it comes to interview procedure, MGSI stresses on future politicians. People who can not get jobs outside are the ones retained by MGSI.

Well, somebody commented on management. Its truly a puppet show. Appraisal is done twice in a year and made to screw your life. Its a game of making someone bakra. Some of the managers and technical guys are even not from tech background. Expect the unexpected at MGSI!!.

People join this org without even knowing the skeleton behind its brand, fame. Its not even comparable to top tier Indian IT services orgs.

Utilization is another stupid part of MGSI. At some times one needs to work like a dog to reach target utilization. And people do any crap work to meet utilization goal. Alas! you don't have a choice. I would recommend management/leadership team to create cp codes even for cleaning toilet which can very well provide utilization.

Lastly, if you stay at MGSI for more than couple of years, you are good for nothing at industry. Working on crap projects for meeting utilization will transform you to an . Summary is you get screwed from every possible angle.

Last year I raised multiple concern about my work life balance and other ethical violation. But she not supported me and constantly acted against me. Also she prefer people who like to lick her shoes than the hardworking and talented people. She doesn't have any quality, talent to be a manager in Microsoft. For her many employees left in past 2 years. She is totally selfish, dishonest, unethical and unprofessional person. Most of the people don't want to work under her. But no action has been taken against her from management. Finally I have to leave Microsoft because of her.

Microsoft lumia 535 has defect and was known after 5 days

I bought microsoft lumia 535 on 8th jan 2015 after 5 days the display of the phone was gone. Can i get replace this phone?
