[Resolved]  MTNL Delhi — Malpractice by MTNL in garuda Internet service

I hold a Delhi MTNL's Garuda Prepaid number. I recharged it with Rs.300.00 unlimited internet use coupon on 2nd May 2009, at 22.20 hrs. The recharge was successful. But, the internet service has not been started on my number.

I contacted Garuda customer care on 1502 number and I was told:

1. That it takes 24 hours for the internet coupan recharge to take effect. The internet is activated manually by MTNL internet department.

2. As 3rd May 2009 was a Sunday and a holiday it will not be counted in the 24 hours period before recharge is activated. I was told that my internet will be activated by 1600 hrs on Monday, 4th May 2009, but it is not activated yet.

3. Both Sundays and Saturdays are not counted in the 24 hour period which is taken for the recharge to activate.

4. But, the recharge coupan's one month validity period begins on the day of recharge itself, i.e, in my case, from 2nd May 2009 itself. This means two days out of my one month period is already wasted.

5. MTNL enjoys consumer's money for two days without providing them any benefits.

6. There is no way to know the balance amount in the internet account in prepaid internet on MTNL Garuda. No sms detailing the validity period beginning or end is sent by MTNL to consumers. The consumer is left to do his own guesswork. The customer care is also not aware of the validity end date.

I request TRAI to take strong action in this case and to save the gullible consumers from the unethical and greedy practices by MTNL.

i had purchased this Mtnl DataCard on 27th Jan, 2009 for Rs. 2600 which is non refundable. I was told that it will fetch you the speed between 70kbps to 120kbps or Downloading Speed min.15Kbps to max.any But the speed I am surfring is betweem 15kbps to 25 kbps or downloading speed 1kbps to 3kbps max. which is very slow.. Inspite of several complaints there is no improvement in Speed. I am unnecessarily paying the money without any effective use for me.I Am send this complain 9 days ago but no action in my complain so sir i m reqest for u please solwe my problem ??

I have taken a connection of Garud CA nO.[protected] phone no20050459. I surrended this connection on 29.4.2005at Shakti Nagar Exchange along with hand set vide receipt no.6840 dt 29 .4.2005 and after that applied for refund of my security deposit of Rs.5, 000/- so many times but till today I have not received the same. I don't know why my money is not been rfunded till today. I once again ask the authorities to refund my money along with overdue interest to me immediately.

Dear Sir/Mam, I have a phone no. 24562044.installed in D-365 Anand Vihar DELHI under the name Ramesh Dhamija, That was recharged with Rs.. 300 for internet connectivity on dated 23rd jan-2010,

Sir from very beginning from the date of recharge internet not connecting, reported several times to customer care center(1502) related that problem, but not rectified yet the member who know very well that matter:
Sh. Sharma ji([protected]), Parveen ji[protected], Mr. Yogesh ji[protected], Sh. Singh Sahib ji (D.E)., Vinod ji (A.E)[20222211], Phool chand ji([protected]) etc. But no one visited personally. My problem is very genuine all respected members know it but uncap able to resolve it.
After a long time and reminding through phone & expanding much amount on telephone bills. Now the complaint is again in the net of Sh. Yogesh ji, Mr. Phool Chand ji(karkardooma)Correlated person Mr. Vinod. But it seems that they are also uncap able to rectify the defect, Due to all of that I am bearing financial as well as mantel worries I request you to rectify the defect and refund my amount which I have already paid vide coupon no. [protected], for Rs.300.
No services has provided till day, if in case it is impossible to rectify the defect then pls. refund instrument cost & recharge coupon amount.
